When Tianyu returned home, Gouzi's family and Shuang'er and her siblings came with Tangyuan. They waited for Tianyu in the yard. When they saw Tianyu return, they all gathered around. Gouzi brought a basket of chicken and duck eggs and said to Tianyu, "Auntie, these are the eggs laid by the chickens and ducks you raised. The earlier ones didn't last and we ate them. These are the ones that were laid recently. I'll catch them all for you tomorrow."
"No need, just leave them at your house. Take the eggs and duck eggs back with you. Didn't I say that they're all yours from now on?"
"Auntie, please accept it! Otherwise, Grandma will blame me."
"Auntie, please accept this. We don't have much to give you, but this is a handkerchief I embroidered myself. If you don't mind, please accept it as well," Shuang'er said, pulling out a handkerchief.
“Auntie accepts everything without minding, but you can’t send anything next time. I’m already very happy that you came to visit me. As for the chickens and ducks, I’ll give them to you. I don’t have time to raise them. If you send them, they’ll probably just eat them.” Tian Yu said, pointing to the three big men in the yard.
"Then let's leave it to lay eggs," the dog said after thinking for a moment.
"Shuang'er, your sister..."
"Auntie, you don't need to say anything. I already know. Tangyuan just told me everything. I came here to thank you, Auntie."
"That's good. Your sister studied at his family's clinic. You can contact him if you need anything," Tian Yu said, pointing to Li Xingyun.
“Tian Yu, don’t cause me any trouble. He’s Dad’s apprentice, not mine,” Li Xingyun said.
Shuang'er looked at Li Xingyun, then walked up to him shyly and said, "Thank you for your help, young master. If I ever do anything wrong in the future, please feel free to punish me. We won't say anything." She then bowed slightly.
Looking at Shuang'er's gentle and obedient appearance, and then at Li Xingyun's expression, Tian Yu smiled and winked at Li Xingyun. Shuang'er was already a teenager, and according to the local customs, she was about to get married. Naturally, she would be attracted to a handsome man like Li Xingyun. Li Xingyun looked at Tian Yu's smiling face, his face darkened, and he said in a serious tone, "No need to thank me! I didn't do anything. If you need anything, it's better to ask your aunt."
"Yes! Young Master is right." Shuang'er said aggrievedly, feeling wronged. After speaking, she lowered her head and returned to her younger brother Xiao Bao, picking him up.
Seeing this, Tian Yu quickly stepped forward to comfort her, saying, "Shuang'er, don't be angry. He's just a chauvinist, which is why no one is willing to marry him yet."
"Auntie, I'm fine. I'll go home now. Grandma is still waiting for me at home."
"If Auntie has nothing else to do, I'll head back now." After saying that, Gouzi pulled her sister and followed Shuang'er back home.
Tian Yu watched them walk out of the courtyard gate, then turned back and glared at Li Xingyun, saying, "Look what you've done! That girl just wanted to thank you, and what are you saying?"
"truth!"
"You!? You're just going to be a bachelor for the rest of your life!" Tian said, not wanting to talk to him, and turned to look at Tangyuan.
Tangyuan asked Tianyu with a smile, "Mommy, what is 'straight male chauvinism'?"
“They’re the kind of people who are still single at a certain age. They’re terminally ill and beyond help,” Tian Yu said, pointing to the three men present.
"Hey! Sister-in-law, don't drag me into this. I'm not like them. I want to get married, but I just haven't met the right person yet," Li Yong loudly protested.
"That's even worse! Nobody wants a loser like me." Tian Yu said angrily and went back to her room, leaving behind a hurt-looking Li Yong and a group of viewers trying not to laugh.
Li Xingyun and Tangyuan laughed heartily without holding back, and eventually everyone couldn't hold back and joined in the laughter.
Zhuang Bo brought over the garlic that Tian Yu had planted. It was already dried and growing quite well, but there wasn't enough of it. He figured he'd have to buy new seeds to plant it again next year.
