Chapter 130 Deliberate Concealment

After being summoned by Prince Wu, Jifeng thought the prince was going to reprimand him, but the prince simply extended his hand to him. Jifeng asked, puzzled, "What does Your Highness mean by this? I am ignorant."

"Bring me the book!"

"Oh, you mean this? I've already prepared it." After saying that, Jifeng took out the prepared book.

That's all?

"Yes, that's all the madam gave us. The rest will be available in another half month."

"Tian Yu really knows how to keep people in suspense; both books are here?"

"They're all here!"

"Zhuiyun, take this and have someone make a copy quickly. Go back now! Take good care of your wound and make sure it doesn't get infected."

"Yes! Thank you for your concern, Your Highness!"

In the palace, the emperor, upon hearing from the returning soldiers that Prince Wu had forbidden the arrest, smashed his teacup in anger and shouted at the kneeling soldiers, "You're all useless! Go back now and bring the man back to me!"

"Wait! Father Emperor." Prince Wu said as he walked in.

He bowed and said, "Your subject pays respects to Your Majesty."

"You still dare to come see me? Look at the good deeds you've done today!"

"Father, please calm your anger! Your son is only doing this for you!"

"For me?"

"Yes! Today, I led my guards out of the city and happened to encounter the wife and children of the Marquis of Zhenbei being chased. I intervened to save them, which led to what happened later."

Why are you going out of town?!

"Your Majesty, I have learned that the two books came from a place near the outskirts of the city. I was afraid it might be a trap, so I brought more guards with me."

"What about the book? Has the person been found?"

"The book has been found, but the person is still nowhere to be seen."

"Where is it? Bring it here for me to see."

Prince Wu took out a book that had been copied in advance and handed it to the Emperor. The Emperor's eyes lit up as he took the book and asked, "Romance of the Three Kingdoms? Or Journey to the West?"

"Both books are available."

"That's all!"

"It's not over yet; the rest will take about two more weeks."

"What?! This Moon Immortal is really good at keeping us in suspense. Oh well, it's better than nothing!"

Prince Wu looked at the man who resembled him somewhat and said the same words as him, and smiled and said, "Father, this Marquis of Zhenbei had no choice but to disobey the imperial decree and leave the city to save his wife and children. Moreover, he promised me that he would come to apologize to Father first thing tomorrow morning. His wife is seriously injured. Father, why don't you give him a little more time?"

"Alright! Let's do as my son says!" The emperor looked at the two books in his hand and no longer wanted to get involved in the matter.

"Thank you, Father Emperor!"

"Yes, Your Majesty!" The soldier who came to report had no choice but to accept the order.

"Alright, all of you may leave!" The Emperor said, waving his hand as he kept his eyes fixed on the book in his hand.

Zhao Moyan got up from the bedside, touched Tian Yu's head, kissed her forehead, covered her with a quilt, changed into his court robes, and walked out of the room. He said to the steward and Qiu Ju who were guarding the door, "Take good care of Madam!"

"Yes! Don't worry, Lord Marquis," the two replied in unison.

"If I am not back before dinner tonight, remember that everyone should stay in the manor and not leave without permission. Just wait. If the madam wakes up, tell her that I went out on an errand."

"Yes, Your Excellency!" the steward replied, bowing his head.

Qiuju watched the Marquis's departing figure silently, her heart filled with worry.

Xuan Yu followed Zhao Moyan to the gate. Zhao Moyan stopped and said, "Xuan Yu, from today onwards, you don't need to follow me anymore. Stay by Tang Yuan's side and protect him."

"Yes, my lord!"

Three days later, Tian Yu woke up from her coma. Turning to her side, she looked at Qiu Ju and Lü Liu, who were guarding her bedside, and asked, "How long have I been unconscious?"

"Madam, this is the third day already."

"It's been three days! Where is the Marquis!?"

"The Marquis took care of the Madam all night, and the next day he was sent out on business by the Emperor," Qiuju explained, holding the medicine.

Tian Yu looked at Lü Liu standing to the side with a puzzled expression. When Lü Liu saw Tian Yu looking at her, she hurriedly nodded and echoed, "Yes! Yes!"

"Did the Emperor not punish the Marquis?"

"I have official business to attend to, so I'll be leaving for now," Qiuju said, glancing at Lvliu.

"Really?!"

"Really! Don't worry, Madam, the Marquis is doing well. You should focus on getting better first. The young master has been so worried these past few days," Qiuju said, changing the subject.

"Where's Tangyuan? Where is he?"

"Young Master is very busy. Every morning he has to learn martial arts from Xuan Yu and read and write with his uncle. I'll go tell them now."

"Never mind! Let him be busy! I'm fine."

With the help of two maids, Tian Yu drank her medicine and ate some food. Feeling very tired, she lay down to rest again. While she was asleep, Tian Yu heard someone calling her. When she opened her eyes, she saw Tang Yuan and Li Xingyun.

"Brother, tangyuan (sweet rice balls)."

"Mother, you've finally done something! You woke up this morning, why didn't you send someone to tell me and my uncle?"

"I know you are studying, and I don't want to disturb you."

"Let me see your hand," Li Xingyun said, taking Tian Yu's pulse again before nodding in relief.

"I'm all better now, I'm fine."

"You still need to take your medicine."

"I understand. By the way, what did you add to the medicine? It doesn't taste as bitter as before."

"That's good. Remember to take your medicine on time."

"Got it! Where did Brother Zhao Moyan go?"

"He's on official business. You probably won't see him for ten days to two weeks."

"Really?!"

"Of course it's true, just focus on recovering!"

"Okay! I'm tired, I want to rest."

The next day, Tian Yu was able to get out of bed and move around on her own. As soon as she stepped out of her room, she saw Uncle Zhou and said with a smile, "Uncle Zhou, you've come too."
