Tian Yu didn't even look at him, keeping her head down, and got up to leave the main hall. Once outside, she found a secluded corner and looked up at the night sky, gazing at the countless stars. Suddenly, she felt homesick, wanting to return to the 21st century. Although she had no relatives there, at least there wasn't so much treachery and betrayal, and she wouldn't lose her life with just one wrong step. Life there was hard, but she wouldn't be so mentally exhausted, constantly living in fear.
"Oh! Isn't this Lady Hou?" Li Weiwei came out with several young ladies from prominent families and mocked Tian Yu, who was hiding in a corner.
Tian Yu didn't say anything, stood up, bowed, and prepared to leave. Li Weiwei and the others blocked Tian Yu's way. Tian Yu wasn't in the mood to argue with them, so she said, "This is the palace. I don't want to argue with you. Move aside!"
"Such a big mouth, how come the Lady of the Marquis's temper has grown so much?"
"That's right! If it weren't for the Third Princess's insistence on not marrying the Marquis, you wouldn't have had a chance."
"That's right, she doesn't even look at herself, what qualifications does she have to be a Marquis's wife?"
"He's Mr. Tian, you can't say that."
"Does she really think she's superior just because someone calls her 'sir'? A country woman is a country woman."
"I was so shocked by the banquet scene that I couldn't speak."
"Never seen the world, ha! Ha!"
The group started criticizing Tian Yu, but Tian Yu, seeing their mocking faces, suddenly burst into maniacal laughter. The group stared at her, bewildered. Tears streamed down Tian Yu's face as she laughed, still laughing uncontrollably. Seeing the situation escalating, Li Weiwei pointed at Tian Yu and said, "Are you crazy?"
"Princess, let's stay away from her. She's probably gone mad."
"Yes! Let's hurry, people are coming from over there."
Several people pulled Li Weiwei away quickly. Seeing them gone, Tian Yu stopped laughing, slid down the wall to the ground, hugged her knees, and burst into tears. Chen Chong, having made an excuse to leave the banquet, saw Tian Yu crying in a corner, stepped forward, squatted down, patted Tian Yu's shoulder, and asked, "Tian Yu, what happened?"
Upon hearing the voice, Tian Yu recognized Chen Chong. Wiping away her tears, she looked up at Chen Chong with a bitter smile and said, "Brother Chen! I'm alright, you go quickly! Don't worry about me! This is the palace."
"Tell me what's wrong? Did Zhao Moyan bully you?" Chen Chong stepped forward and asked.
