Chapter 211 Refugees (Part Two)

Tian Yu was speechless and helpless. He was clearly angry, but he had to put on a cold face and show concern for her. When would this ever end? Picking up the medicine bottle, Tian Yu washed her swollen hand and applied some medicine. She felt a burning sensation on her back. She hadn't felt it before, but now it was getting more and more painful. Gently unbuttoning her clothes and taking them off, Tian Yu gasped. She couldn't see it, but it definitely hurt a lot. Walking to the mirror, she saw a large red patch on her back. Tian Yu couldn't help but laugh at herself, "Spending so much time with these ancient people has almost made me lose my sense of pain. If this were before, I probably would have fainted from the pain."

Tian Yu tried various positions to apply the ointment to her back in front of the mirror, but she couldn't get it on. Just then, the door was suddenly pushed open, and Tian Yu was stunned. When she saw that it was Zhao Moyan who came in, she ignored the pain and quickly pulled up her clothes. However, because she pulled too hard, Tian Yu's eyebrows were furrowed in pain, and she gripped the hem of her clothes tightly. Zhao Moyan was also stunned when he saw this scene, but when he saw the bruises on Tian Yu's back, his face darkened. He closed the door, walked behind Tian Yu, and reached out to take off Tian Yu's clothes.

"I'm fine! Qiuju will come back soon and help me apply some ointment," Tian Yu said, clutching her clothes tightly.

"Let go!" Zhao Moyan said angrily to Tian Yu.

Tian Yu shook her head resolutely, refusing to let go. Zhao Moyan stared at her, showing no intention of backing down. The oppressive feeling of being stared at made Tian Yu want to escape, to retreat. Her hands unconsciously loosened their grip. Zhao Moyan turned her around, and before Tian Yu could think, her clothes were ripped off, leaving her only in her undergarment. Seeing the large bruises on her back, Zhao Moyan was angry and wanted to yell at her, but he still picked up the ointment and gently applied it. When his fingers lightly touched Tian Yu's skin, Tian Yu immediately straightened her back and tensed up. Seeing this, Zhao Moyan gently blew on her, and Tian Yu tensed up even more. Whether intentionally or unintentionally, Tian Yu felt Zhao Moyan's fingers gently moving back and forth on her back, making her feel very strange, itchy and numb, with a feeling that made her want to go crazy.

Unable to bear it any longer, Tian Yu asked softly, "Is...is it okay?" As soon as the words left her mouth, Tian Yu was somewhat surprised at how hoarse her voice was.

Zhao Moyan put down the ointment, pulled up her clothes, turned Tian Yu towards him and tidied her up. Without looking at Tian Yu, he said expressionlessly, "Aren't you the future princess and empress?! How did you get hurt like this!"

Tian Yu felt like a doll being turned around and touched by him. Hearing what he said, she didn't know how to respond, and only asked softly, "Is it okay? Can I get up now?"

Zhao Moyan stopped styling her hair, sneered, and said, "Don't worry, no one will know."

Hearing him say that, Tian Yu really didn't want to explain anymore. She decided to let him be and stood up to leave. Zhao Moyan grabbed her hand and said, "Why don't you even want to talk to me anymore?"

Tian Yu tried hard to pull her hand back and said, "I just want to go out and have a look."

Zhao Moyan stood up, picked Tian Yu up in his arms, and said, "You're not allowed to go out! Just stay here and rest. You don't need to worry about what's happening outside." After saying that, he put Tian Yu on the bed, covered her with a blanket, and left without looking back.

Tian Yu sighed, thinking that this complicated relationship was unpredictable. He was concerned about her but also angry, and he had to help her but also give her the cold shoulder. It was quite tiring. Oh well, let it be!

When Tian Yu woke up, it was already dark outside. She got out of bed and opened the door. Outside, the sky was ablaze with light. Zhao Moyan had already had tents set up, and several large pots were cooking porridge. The refugees were queuing orderly for food, with priority given to the elderly, women, and children. Under the soldiers' management, no one dared to cause trouble. Each person received two steamed buns, and the porridge was unlimited. Tian Yu walked over to Green Willow and Autumn Chrysanthemum, who were getting food. Seeing her, they handed their spoons to the people behind them and pulled Tian Yu aside. Green Willow anxiously said, "Madam, why did you come out? Go back quickly!"

"I'm fine now, I'll help you."

"Don't worry, Madam, we have enough manpower and the seeds have been saved."

"The seeds were useless? Then where did all this rice come from?"

"It was sent by Prince Wu, who instructed Jifeng absolutely not to use our seeds. The Marquis also arranged for some rice, which is enough," Qiuju said.

Where did they get so much rice?

"This!? We don't know," Qiuju said.

"Don't worry, Madam, the Marquis and the Prince will definitely find a way. The Marquis has even sent a team to maintain order, so you don't need to worry about it," said Green Willow.

Where are they?

"Prince Wu has already left due to other matters, but the Marquis was just here a moment ago," Qiuju said, looking around.

"Yes! They were just here a moment ago, they probably went somewhere else." Green Willow looked around curiously as well.

"Okay, I understand. You guys go ahead and get busy. I'll look around by myself."

"Then please be careful, Madam."

Tian Yu left them and went to Li Xingyun's room, only to find that Li Xingyun was not there. The guard at the gate said that Doctor Li was seeing patients in the shed in front. Tian Yu followed the direction he pointed and found Li Xingyun sitting in the makeshift shed taking pulses. There were several other people waiting to see patients behind him, and everyone was very busy.

Tian Yu approached Li Xingyun, and Li Xingyun turned around and, seeing that it was Tian Yu, asked, "Is the injury on your back better?"

Tian Yu moved her shoulders and said, "It's okay, it doesn't hurt too much."

"Take the prescription and go get the medicine over there," Li Xingyun said to the patient.

"Sit down and let me take a look."

"No need, you should go see them first!"

"It's almost done, we're almost finished watching it."

"How about you? Are you alright? Is your body able to handle it?"

"It's okay, I'll go back after I finish watching these."
