Chapter 69 Persuasion (Part Two)

“Zhao Jinxiu, look at me. You can do it. You’re better than me. You have family and people who care about you. You will do even better than me.” Tian Yu lifted Zhao Jinxiu’s head with both hands and said earnestly.

"Really?"

"Really! If you want to."

A group of people were still walking around outside, but Zhao Moyan stood there, his expression changing repeatedly. His hands clenched into fists under his sleeves. When he heard Tian Yu's perspective on their relationship, he felt hurt. It turned out she had never imagined they would be together. Even Tangyuan was an accident for her. If she could, she probably wouldn't want to give birth to Tangyuan! Zhao Moyan wanted to turn around and leave, but out of politeness, he remained standing there, his face gloomy and unwilling to talk to anyone. He exuded a cold aura that made people afraid to approach him.

When Tian Yu opened the door, Zhao Moyan turned and left without a word. Tian Yu told Zhao Jinxiu's family not to disturb her and to let her sleep, then hurried after Zhao Moyan. But even running, she couldn't catch up. When she got into the car, she saw Zhao Moyan sitting inside with his eyes closed. Not daring to disturb him, Tian Yu carefully sat down beside him, wondering what was wrong with him. Why didn't he ask about the situation? Wasn't he worried about Zhao Jinxiu when he came? Why was he like this now? She wanted to speak, but Zhao Moyan kept his eyes closed and remained silent the whole way.

As soon as they arrived at the door, before Tian Yu could react, Zhao Moyan quickly got out of the car, ignored everyone, went straight to his study, locked himself in, and refused to see anyone. The butler, seeing this, asked worriedly, "Madam, what's wrong with the Marquis?"

Tian Yu shrugged, indicating her confusion. The steward asked curiously, "The Marquis seems to be in a bad mood. Has something happened?"

"I don't know either." After saying that, Tian Yu wondered if it was because Zhao Jinxiu had been violated that she was so angry? But there was nothing she could do about it; she had done all she could.

Zhao Moyan didn't step out of his room all day. People who went to deliver things were all scolded and kicked out. Tangyuan wondered who had angered his father like this. The entire Marquis's mansion was too afraid to breathe, fearing that they would anger the Marquis and make things worse. Only Tian Yu was unaware of this and was still humming a little tune in the kitchen preparing lunch.
