Chapter 31: Punishment for Mistakes (2/2)

The man looked calm, "Want to help me?"

Pei Xiqing's eyes were slightly red and she nodded vigorously.

"Come on, then."

He held her hand and tightened his grip on the dagger. "There's still a layer of dead flesh on the back of your neck. Make sure you deal with it before everyone arrives."

Pei Xiqing's fingertips trembled constantly, and he held the dagger and tried to calm himself down: "Is the serum still useful?"

She had been in a coma just now and had no idea how much time had passed outside.

The masked man next to him said coldly: "It was already very late when I brought it here. Whether it will be of any use or not is up to fate."

He didn't let go of the gun yet, "Don't try anything."

Pei Xiqing asked, "Will the serum be more effective if all this dead flesh is removed?"

Duan Xiaolin closed his eyes: "Yes."

"Will you die of pain?"

"Yes."

These two words, so casually, made Pei Xiqing inexplicably sad.

She didn't know if Duan Xiaolin had ever experienced anything more painful than this, as he could only describe such cruel torture with the word "repay".

Pei Xiqing took deep breaths and gradually calmed down.

Now is not the time to yell or cry.

She remembered that her secretary had indeed mentioned this method, but the probability was only 50-50, and that was only if the serum was injected.

The hand holding the dagger gradually regained its composure. She stood behind the man and brought the dagger close to the infected dead flesh.

There's no need for any technique to remove this dead flesh; just do whatever's quickest to get it off, no matter how rough or awkward your movements.

Pei Xiqing had never been fucked before, so it was inevitable that she was nervous.

Everyone in the team was mean to her. She had told herself a thousand times, even in her sleep, to grit her teeth and remember not to bite them or hurt any of them. But just now... she didn't even know what had happened to her. When she came to her senses, the bloody wound on Duan Xiaolin's neck reminded her of how big a mistake she had made.

"What are you standing there for? Hurry up!" the masked man urged. "Are you being greedy again? Do you believe I'm going to blow your head off?"

"Don't be nervous." Duan Xiaolin's tone was gentle, without a hint of blame in it: "Since things have come to this, we might as well give it a try."

"...Yeah, I understand."

Pei Xiqing looked intently at the dead flesh on his back, clenched the dagger in his hand, aimed it at the dead flesh and began to push hard.

However, no one present noticed that the dagger had accidentally cut her fingertip, and the blood that seeped out touched the blood on the man's body and quietly blended with it.

There was a fight, and the scene was a little bloody for a moment. Under normal circumstances, she would have vomited with a pale face, but at the moment, all her attention was diverted, and the only thought in her mind was that she had to save Duan Xiaolin.

After half an hour, the dead flesh is temporarily removed.

I don't know if the serum is working.

Pei Xiqing's forehead was covered in sweat. She then helped him remove some dead flesh from his chest. Finally, she was so tired that her whole body limp and she knelt down in front of him.

Duan Xiaolin pinched the back of her neck, lowered his head and looked at her, "If anyone asks, just say I was bitten by another zombie."

No matter what time, his voice is always calm and steady, as if any big problem can be solved in his opinion.

"I'm sorry..." Pei Xiqing felt like crying, and her nose was constantly sore. "I will take responsibility for what I did. If you really turn into a zombie for me, I won't run away."

The man seemed to smile.

Simply studying her for a moment.

Seeing her looking aggrieved like a puppy being punished for doing something wrong, lying on his knees, her eyes filled with tears, her delicate eyebrows slightly drooping, perhaps because she was too worried, her face was even paler, and her soft black hair hung down, it was inevitable that people would have a dark desire to destroy.

"I won't run away..." He lifted her pointed chin and asked softly, "Then do you know how I usually like to deal with people who make mistakes?"
