The dire wolf looked around, but for a moment it didn't know what was going on. It sniffed around, but still found nothing.

Just as it was still trying to find Joey, the fur on its back suddenly stood on end, and danger was imminent.
It turned around abruptly and saw Joey appear behind it like a ghost, but a sharp longsword was already falling towards its head.

The enormous wolf head separated and fell into the snow, creating a large crater.
WaWa immediately ran over, curiously examining the dire wolf's corpse.
Joey sheathed his steel sword, quite pleased with the new sword Cartel had forged for him.
He just used the snow tunnel that Digya had dug to get behind the dire wolf and take it down.
"We need to get back quickly. That wolf howl just now might really attract a group of orcs!"
Joey looked around; no orcs had followed yet.
He picked up the wolf's head and tossed it to WaWa, cleaned up the scene himself, carried the wolf's carcass, and returned to the tobacco field with WaWa.
Ten minutes later.
Some distance from where Joey had left, a dozen orcs riding on wolves appeared, gazing at the thick city walls in the distance with bewildered expressions.
"The sound we just heard came from this area!"
"But we haven't found anything at all so far!"
An orc, his face contorted with malice, gestured for the dire wolf beneath him to sniff the air, but to little avail, which only worsened his mood.
"Should we go over and take a look?"
Another orc suggested.
"We can't go there. We can't let others discover our presence yet. It's too close to Sandstone City!"
The orc with a fierce look on his face was unwilling, but he still suppressed his dissatisfaction.
In his eyes, Sandstone City seemed to have become a dead city littered with corpses.
The orcs left again.
