Chapter 48 An Unsuccessful Start



Because the other person was too strong, and Joey refused to let go, he was dragged along in that direction.

He took the tinderbox from his waist and used the firelight to make a simple torch. He burned the "spider silk" on the longsword, then held the torch and searched the surrounding area for a while. During this time, the "spider demon" did not attack again.

Joey seemed to have figured something out. Holding a torch in his left hand and a longsword in his right, he ran wildly back the way he came.
