Is that Saipanda?
After spending another three days at sea, it was nearly noon today, and the coastline ahead was already visible.
Looking at the massive military port, Joey excitedly asked Catherine, "Of the people on this ship, she's the only one who's been here before."
"Yes, we've arrived!"
Catherine also looked up at the horizon, where the outline of the harbor was already visible.
Her experiences these past few days have brought about a significant change in her temperament.
The fate of Grand Scholar Daines is unknown, and it is unclear whether Puff and Irene are still alive after covering her escape. The guards of Tiger Rock Mountain bravely faced death to protect her. All of this was enough to touch her already kind heart.
Vivian, standing beside Catherine, gently swayed, the baby in her arms giggling. She also looked towards the distant harbor, her mind filled with countless thoughts.
Joey adjusted the rudder to ensure the ship's direction remained correct.
"Slow down!"
Catherine didn't turn around, but the sea breeze still carried her words to Joey's ears.
"What, do you want to spend more time with me? After all this time, you finally realize how good I am?"
Joey chuckled as he stowed the auxiliary sail; he had no reason to refuse Catherine's reasonable request.
"If we go too fast, they might mistake us for an incoming enemy and sink our ship with just a few shells!"
Catherine rolled her eyes at Joey, but her tone was extremely serious. She didn't want Joey, that reckless guy, to ignore her advice and lead everyone into danger.
"What?"
Why didn't you say so sooner?
Joey is a person who listens to advice, especially when his life is threatened; he will listen to advice 100%.
He quickly lowered the mainsail as well, and the sailboat, which had been moving at high speed just moments before, suddenly slowed down, now only propelled forward by inertia.
"Joey Brown!"
"Are you kidding me? I told you to slow down, not to stop!"
Catherine was completely speechless after Joey's actions.
She stormed from the bow to the stern, pointing her finger at Joey's nose and speaking fiercely.
"It seems Lady Catherine's spoiled princess temper is acting up again. Now that we're almost on her territory, she's getting cocky again!"
Joey muttered to himself, then his face broke into a smile again.
"My dear Lady Catherine, what speed do you require? I will do my best to arrange it for you!"
Joey had a fawning look on his face, just like those lackeys in TV dramas from my past life.
"Then open the secondary sail; the speed should be enough!"
Catherine was already used to Joey's behavior and didn't bother with him anymore. She had other things to deal with once they arrived in Saibanda.
"Understood!"
Joey responded and lowered the auxiliary sail.
The sailboat headed toward the port at a suitable speed.
After sailing for about ten more minutes, a relatively large warship approached from the front of the sailboat, with a group of fully armed soldiers standing on the deck.
"Listen up, sailboat ahead! You have entered the jurisdiction of the Saipanda military fortress. Please leave immediately. If you do not leave within the specified time, we will take coercive measures against your vessel!"
A voice came from the loudspeaker of the warship ahead, and the people on the sailboat could hear it very clearly.
Joey was already having second thoughts. He had heard this warning countless times in the news on Weibo in his previous life. "Don't say you weren't warned." He didn't want to cross that red line.
"Let's put away the auxiliary sail too!"
Joey was ready to change course, but Catherine's words reached his ears as well.
"Then we'll stop here!"
"That option wasn't mentioned in their question just now!"
Joey wasn't sure if Catherine's words were reliable. If this warship were to turn against them, they definitely wouldn't last a second. He was content to watch the news about small fish boats fighting against destroyers weighing tens of thousands of tons; he didn't want to become the news himself.
"This is a hidden option!"
Catherine turned her head toward the warship and was already waving at the group of soldiers.
"Hidden options? Please don't give me a hidden boss, this game is really hard!"
Joey muttered something, but still listened to Catherine and put away the auxiliary sail as well.
As the sailboats slowed down, many of them drifted with the current.
The warship ahead had a clear view of everything on the sailboat. The warship stopped shouting and instead maintained its current speed, approaching the sailboat's location.
"Don't say anything for a while, I'll talk to them!"
Catherine stopped waving and turned to give Joey a word of advice.
Me?
"There's a Vivian on this ship, why are you telling me to stay quiet?"
Joey no longer needed to steer the boat, so he made a special trip to the bow to watch Vivian breastfeed her child. He was initially enjoying the sight, but Catherine's words dampened his spirits.
"Vivian wouldn't say anything out of line, only your mouth can't help it!"
Catherine didn't mince words and spoke very frankly.
("You're just jealous of my talent, jealous that I have such a silver tongue!")
Joey remained silent, only responding in his mind.
The child in Vivian's arms must have been full, because it turned its head and looked at Joey with a grin.
"Honey, why don't you eat a little longer? You're at the age where you're growing, and I haven't had enough of looking at you yet."
When Joey saw that Vivian had already put away the child's food storage, he was extremely disappointed and could only force a smile to respond to the happy child.
