How come I didn't realize she was a hopeless romantic before Chapter 147?

One dumpling after another was put into the plate, but no one found the coin. If it weren't for the photographic evidence, Yu Yunzhi would have thought he hadn't put the coin in.

With five dumplings left, Yu Yunzhi said, "Let's each eat one and see who gets to eat it first!"

Two of the five dumplings were clearly made by Yu Yunzhi; they were all plump and a size larger than the other dumplings. Yu's parents were the first to each take one.

Yu Yunzhi and Yu Luoyan understood that their parents wanted to save the dumplings with coins inside for them.

When they were little, Yu's parents would always put two coins in the dumplings they made. Yu Yunzhi and Yu Luoyan always managed to find one. They didn't know why before, but they were always happy to find one.

Later, when they grew up, they understood what was going on. Every time they made dumplings, Yu's father would mark the dumplings with coins on them with two marks and deliberately give them to the two girls to eat.

Although it was just a superstition, Yu Yunzhi and her friends wanted their parents to have this good luck, so they changed the rules later.

It only contains one coin; whoever finds it keeps it.

"Jiang Jiang, take your pick first." Yu Luoyan and Yu Yunzhi both let little Jiang Jiang have her.

Jiang Jiang held her special little chopsticks, showing excellent manners. Her eyes searched among the remaining three dumplings, but she didn't use her chopsticks to pick through them.

Finally, I chose the largest of the three.

"I'll go first!" Yu Yunzhi picked out a dumpling before Yu Luoyan could speak.

Yu Luoyan already knew the answer in her heart when she saw which one Yu Yunzhi had chosen. Sure enough, the coin was in her dumpling.

Yu Yunzhi knows best what kind of dumplings she made. The last two dumplings, although they looked about the same size, had a small detail that made them different from everyone else's.

The dumplings she made had a little tail at the top. Her father tried to correct it several times when she was a child, but he couldn't. Since it wasn't obvious, he just let it be.

Yu Yunzhi immediately recognized which of the remaining two dumplings he had made; the coin must be inside that dumpling.

Yu Yunzhi didn't take it himself because he wanted to give the lucky coin to Yu Luoyan.

Doesn't her sister deserve the best?

"Wow, Mom, you have the coin!"

May you be free from illness and worry every year, sister!

Mr. Yu was more practical; he simply pulled a red envelope from his pocket and said, "Here, we said there would be a reward for finding the coin. Mom and Dad wish you boundless happiness and a wonderful life!"

Yu Luoyan did not refuse and accepted the red envelope from her father. It was a blessing from an elder to a younger generation, and she could not refuse it.

Although she had already foreseen the outcome, Yu Luoyan couldn't help but feel a warmth in her heart when the coin actually came out of her mouth.

Home will always be her haven! What does divorce matter? She still has so many people who love her and whom she loves.

The family enjoyed a pleasant meal together, and everyone ate until their bellies were round and full.

The girls were all sitting on the sofa waiting to watch the New Year's Eve gala, while Mr. Yu was alone in the kitchen cleaning up the dishes.

Yu Yunzhi and her sister originally said they were going to help their father, but he kicked them out, saying, "How can a girl's hands touch these things..." He successfully dissuaded the Yu Yunzhi sisters.

Before the New Year's Eve party even started, the mother and her two daughters sat on the sofa chatting. For some reason, Yu Yunzhi suddenly remembered the canvas bag her mother had made for her.

"By the way, Mom, where's the bag you made for me?" Yu Yunzhi looked at his mother with bright eyes.

"Oh, right, I'll go get it for you." Yu's mother walked towards the bedroom, feeling that she was getting old and useless. She said she would get it for her youngest daughter, but she forgot about it as soon as she got home.

Yu's mother came out carrying several bags of different colors and styles and placed them on the sofa, saying, "Here you go."

Mr. Yu finished washing the dishes and came out. Seeing the bags piled up on the sofa, he instinctively took out the full-length mirror and placed it in the living room so that his youngest daughter could admire the bags that Mrs. Yu had made for her.

Yu Yunzhi seemed to be on a mission this time. She didn't try on any of her favorite light-colored canvas bags, and instead picked and chose from the few dark-colored canvas bags she had.

"Sister, which one looks better?" Yu Yunzhi had difficulty making choices; she thought both of them were very suitable.

"Why do you suddenly like this color?" Yu's mother didn't understand when her youngest daughter started changing her style.

Yu Yunzhi rarely liked these two colors of canvas bags before; she would only carry them when matching special outfits.

"Oh dear, Mom, which one do you think looks better first?"

Yu Yunzhi carried one bag on each side and asked Yu Luoyan to help her choose.

“How can we recommend someone if you don’t tell us who you’re giving it to?” Yu Luoyan immediately saw through Yu Yunzhi’s little scheme.

She sensed something was wrong the moment her sister picked up her light-colored canvas bag as soon as she came in.

Later, Yu Yunzhi's answer directly confirmed to Yu Luoyan that this was definitely not something she was meant to memorize herself.

It's highly likely, no, it's 99.99 percent that it was chosen for Shao Wenyan.

After Yu Luoyan's prompting, Yu's mother understood and teased, "Was it given to Shao Wenyan?"

Although the statement is a question, the tone is affirmative.

Yu Yunzhi's previously hidden thoughts were now laid bare, so she simply stopped pretending and directly admitted, "Hmm..."

"Who is Shao Wenyan?" Jiang Jiang looked at her grandmother and mother with a puzzled expression.

Why would my aunt give this bag to this person? She's never even heard of him.

“Uh…” Yu Luoyan was taken aback by Jiang Jiang’s question. The usually successful businesswoman was stumped by her daughter’s question. “It’s that handsome guy.”

"Handsome brother?" Jiang Jiang rolled her little eyes and thought for a while. "Is he the handsome brother who built the snowman for Auntie?"

"Yes, that's right!"

"Is he going to marry his aunt?"

"Hmm..." This time, Yu Luoyan really couldn't answer the question.

Forget it, she doesn't care anymore; she's not the one who's embarrassed.

Seeing that her mother didn't answer her, Jiang Jiang turned to look at Yu Yunzhi, hoping that her aunt would answer her question.

Yu Yunzhi herself clearly hadn't considered this issue. She hadn't even thought about marriage, something so far in the future, since they hadn't even started dating yet.

"Jiang Jiang, do you want to see fireworks? Grandpa will take you." In the end, it was Yu's father who broke the deadlock and diverted Jiang Jiang's attention.

"Fireworks! I want to see them!" Jiang Jiang's attention was indeed diverted, and she stretched out her arms for her father to carry her down to see the fireworks.

"Why didn't you say so earlier? You said Mom would make one that fit him. This ribbon is a bit short. Mom will make another one tomorrow, and you can take it back for him." After Jiang Jiang was taken away, leaving only the mother and her two daughters, Yu's mother scolded her.

"Thank you, Mom~" Yu Yunzhi was so happy that she almost hugged and kissed her mother. Yu Luoyan was speechless at her sister's lack of self-control.

Who did her sister take after?! How come I never noticed before that she was such a love-obsessed person?
