Chapter 9 Lin Qinghuan's Resolute Determination

Looking at Lin Qinghuan standing to the side, and recalling her actions today, Lin's father said with a stern face, "Qinghuan, I know I have neglected you in the past, but what you did today went too far."

Lin Qinghuan glanced at her father, a faint sneer flashing in her eyes. To think that being beaten and scolded meant being obedient—such logic was truly astounding!

When Lin Qinghuan didn't answer him, Lin's father turned to look at her and met her sarcastic gaze.

"Father, do you want me to be like before, never fighting back when hit or scolded, letting everyone bully me, and preferably getting beaten to death?" Lin Qinghuan said sarcastically.

“You, your second brother is not an outsider, he is your own brother, how could he beat you to death?” Lin’s father said with a dark face.

Looking at her father's face, which was as black as the bottom of a pot, Lin Qinghuan said in a deep voice, "Dad, do you think Lin Feng treats me like his own sister? Because of your and Mom's neglect of me since I was little, they have never treated me like their own sister. In their hearts, I am just a servant girl."

Lin Qing looked down at Lin Qinghuan with disdain after hearing her words, showing that she still had some self-awareness.

Lin's father subconsciously looked at Lin Qing, only to meet Lin Qing's arrogant and indifferent gaze. His throat felt like it was blocked by something, and he couldn't utter a single word in rebuttal.

Lin Qinghuan's expression changed slightly, and an aura emanated from within. He said coldly, "A good-for-nothing like you actually looks at people with such eyes. I almost mistook you for a lunatic."

Lin Qing's face instantly turned ashen. She was about to retort, but when she met her father's obscure gaze, her heart tightened, and she immediately looked away.

Lin Piaoxue placed the slop bucket at the kitchen door, carefully washed her hands, looked at Lin Qinghuan sitting at the entrance of the main room, touched the bump on her forehead, and a cold glint flashed in her eyes. "Lin Qinghuan, just you wait and see. I will definitely avenge today's humiliation."

Lin Feng and Lin Ming walked into the courtyard. Lin Feng looked at Lin Qinghuan sitting at the entrance of the main room and gritted his teeth in hatred.

Lin Qinghuan ignored the gaze Lin Feng cast at her, instead reaching out to shake her father's arm and saying, "Dad, Second Brother's eyes are terrifying."

Lin Feng's gaze was caught red-handed by his father before he could look away.

When Lin's father saw Lin Feng's eyes, he was stunned. Those fierce and vicious eyes were not the look of an older brother looking at his younger sister; they were more like those of an enemy.

Lin's father fell into deep thought. Unconsciously, he and his wife had neglected Qinghuan, to the point that their four children had become indifferent to her.

This can't go on, or the siblings will really turn on each other, and then the villagers will laugh at us.

Lin's father decided to treat Lin Qinghuan better from now on.

But favoritism has become a habit; can true fairness really be achieved? Only time will tell.

Lin Feng was surprised that Lin Qinghuan would complain, and was about to reprimand her when Lin Ming stopped him.

"Second brother, you're still injured and no match for Lin Qinghuan. If you anger her, she'll beat you up again without a second thought. What should we do?"

Lin Ming saw things very clearly; Lin Qinghuan was no longer the subservient Lin Qinghuan she used to be.

"Dinner's ready," Lin's mother called from the kitchen doorway.

Lin Qinghuan stood up and walked towards the kitchen.

Lin Piaoxue and the three Lin brothers all looked at their mother. Lin's mother looked at Lin Qinghuan who was going into the kitchen and said, "Lin Qinghuan, you didn't do any work today, so you're being punished by not being allowed to eat."

Lin Qinghuan looked at her mother and asked in a deep voice, "Are you sure you don't want me to eat?"

"Confirmed," Lin's mother said coldly.

Lin Qinghuan picked up the sharp knife from the knife rack and walked out of the kitchen.

Lin's mother's expression changed, and her heart jumped. "What are you going to do?"

“You’ll find out soon enough,” Lin Qinghuan said.

Lin Qinghuan walked to the pigsty with a sharp knife in her hand. Her mother hurriedly followed and asked nervously, "Lin Qinghuan, what are you doing?"

Lin Qinghuan jumped into the pigpen, used all her strength to stab a pig in the neck, quickly pulled the knife out, and then swiftly climbed out of the pigpen in one smooth motion.

The pigs were squealing loudly in the pigpen, and blood was splattered everywhere.

Lin's mother was terrified by this scene. Her body went limp, and she sat down on the ground. Lin Qinghuan went crazy.

When Lin's father and the others saw Lin Qinghuan carrying a sharp knife, which was stained with blood, looking like a god of death, they were terrified.

Lin Qinghuan stared intently at the Lin family members with her dark, bright eyes, her gaze filled with malice, and her whole body exuded a chilling aura. "If you provoke me again, I will burn the house down. If you don't let me have a good life, you won't have a good life either. I have endured for sixteen years, and I don't want to endure it anymore."

Lin Qinghuan raised the pigs and the chickens all by herself, and even did the laundry and cooking. Why should she not be given food just because she didn't work for an afternoon?

Lin Qinghuan originally wanted to just endure it, but if she endured it this time, there would be countless more. Why should she live such a pathetic life? She didn't want to.

Lin's father closed his eyes in anguish. He had intended to keep the pig until the New Year to slaughter it, but Lin Qinghuan had killed it instead. How did things turn out like this?

Lin's father was speechless and choked with emotion.

Lin Piaoxue was so frightened that she hid behind Lin Qing. Lin Qinghuan was so scary, like a devil.

"Lin Qinghuan, how could you be so heartless? How could you do such a thing?" Lin's mother shouted angrily.

Night had fallen, and the chickens had already gone into their coops. Lin Qinghuan grabbed a chicken from the coop, and the chicken struggled violently, making a pitiful "clucking" sound.

“If you curse again, I’ll kill all the chickens and burn the house down,” Lin Qinghuan said sternly.

Kind people are often bullied, and good horses are often ridden. It's okay to be a bad person occasionally in self-defense, especially since she hasn't done anything heinous. She's against unfair treatment, and she has a clear conscience.

Lin's father yelled at Lin's mother, "Shut up right now!"

Seeing the angry expression on her husband's face, Lin's mother immediately fell silent and dared not continue her tirade.
