Dan Yangzi, who had rescued Chi Li, complained, "You're a ninth-rank cultivator, how could you faint so easily?"
Danyangzi placed the red pear on the ground, his eyes involuntarily sweeping over the red pear's snow-white body. Suddenly, he also felt a heat in his nose, and when he reached out to wipe it, he found that it was blood from his nose.
The intense visual stimulation caused Danyangzi to faint and fall next to Akari. The two, who were equally matched and naked, were now sleeping together for the second time.
A while later, Akari slowly woke up. She propped herself up and looked around groggily, noticing that Danyoko was also lying naked next to her.
Akari quickly covered his nose, afraid that he would have another nosebleed. The surroundings were shrouded in mist. Akari waved his hand and grabbed Danyangzi's clothes to cover him.
With another wave of her hand, the clothes that had fallen to the ground flew up and automatically put on her. Akari hurriedly fled the bathroom, her face flushed with embarrassment.
Danyangzi woke up shortly after Chili left. He was stunned to see the robe covering him and looked around but did not see Chili.
Recalling Akari's graceful figure just now, Danyangzi felt a wave of shyness. She removed her robes and jumped into the bath, silently reciting a calming mantra in her mind, trying to calm herself down.
The immortal and the demon spent the entire night lost in their own thoughts.
The next morning, Akari opened the double wooden doors and stepped out of her room. The morning sun was just rising, and as she walked down the corridor, she smelled a wonderful aroma coming from the kitchen.
For some reason, Akari felt a sense of anticipation, and her steps quickened as she walked lightly to the kitchen door.
Danyangzi got up very early. He couldn't sleep last night, tossing and turning, his mind filled with Chili's little face and some embarrassing images.
Unable to fall asleep no matter what he tried, he decided not to sleep at all. Danyangzi noticed that Chili had eaten a lot of fish the day before and guessed that she might like to eat fish. Before dawn, he went to the river to catch some big fish and rushed back to make fish ball noodles for Chili.
So engrossed in his work, Danyangzi didn't notice Chili standing at the door. Chili didn't say a word either, just quietly watching him work.
Chili smelled the fishy smell and knew that Danyangzi had gone to catch fish again. She couldn't help but wonder if Danyangzi went to catch fish so early in the morning to cook for her.
But this embarrassing thought was immediately banished from her mind. Akari covered her slightly flushed face, her hands twisting behind her back like a pretzel.
After ladling the fish ball noodles into a large bowl and sprinkling on some chopped green onions, Dan Yangzi turned around and noticed Akari standing at the door.
Seeing Danyangzi suddenly turn around startled Akari, and the two of them shyly looked away the moment their eyes met.
Danyangzi cleared his throat awkwardly to calm himself down, and then said to Akari, "Good morning, she-devil."
Akari stared intently at Danyangzi, her eyes slightly narrowed, and replied irritably, "Good morning, you scoundrel."
Hearing Akari address him in such a way, Dan Yangzi felt a strange sense of satisfaction. He picked up two large bowls of noodles and said to Akari, "I made a decision for breakfast without asking you what you wanted. I'm sorry, I saw you ate quite a lot of fish and meat yesterday."
"I was wondering if you like fish, so I made you fish ball noodles for breakfast. It's very delicious. Try it later."
Akari's beautiful eyes widened in disbelief; she couldn't believe that Danyangzi had really gone fishing and made noodles for her sake.
Danyangzi brought the noodles to the stunned Akari and blinked at her.
"What are you standing there for? Go get your chopsticks. I'll take the noodles and head out first."
When Akari came to her senses and saw that Danyoko was so close to her, she suppressed the urge to push him away and turned her head away, her reddened ears coming into Danyoko's view.
Danyangzi was somewhat surprised. Even the most obtuse person would know that the girl in front of him was shy. He was a little happy and walked past Chili out of the kitchen.
"Go get the chopsticks. Oh, and I need a spoon, could you please get it for me?"
Akari suppressed his restless heart, walked to the wooden cupboard next to the stove, and took out two pairs of chopsticks and two spoons.
The two sat down together at the stone table in the courtyard to eat. The environment in the central area of the demon realm was very nice, the morning air was fresh, and a gentle breeze kept the freshly made noodles from getting too hot.
Under Danyangzi's expectant gaze, Akari took a bite of half a fish ball. The fish ball was very fresh and didn't have a strong fishy smell. The thin noodles were very chewy and delicious.
"It's very, very delicious." Akari felt a little shy under Danyoko's gaze, but still earnestly praised the bowl of noodles Danyoko had made.
Danyangzi nodded happily and said, "Eat more, look how thin you are."
Akari glared at Danyoko with a hint of displeasure, her cheeks puffed out as she ate her noodles. "Hey, don't treat me like a child!"
The two ate their noodles, chatting occasionally. Suddenly, Chili thought of something and asked Danyangzi, "Since most of the demon king of the demon race has been captured by your immortal race, who is in charge of this central region now?"
The Dream Immortal Clan, to which Danyangzi belongs, is second only to the Cloud Immortal Clan, which is ruled by the Immortal Emperor Yun Zhiqi, among the top ten immortal clans. As a legendary swordsmith, he is able to learn about many things immediately.
"Currently, the Central Region is still ruled and managed by the Qingqiu Fox Clan. After the Ghost Realm has done this to the Demon Realm and the Human Realm, they will probably be in a slump for a long time."
Chili didn't stand on ceremony with Danyangzi. She bluntly said, "If your immortal race hadn't used humans to refine pills and hadn't colluded with those ghost race guys who only dare to bully the weak to threaten and capture demons as slaves, would things be like this now?"
Danyangzi did not evade the question. He sighed, put down his chopsticks, and said very seriously, "So I think they are wrong."
Akari truly felt that this "cheap immortal" in front of her was really different from those hypocritical guys in the immortal race.
Danyangzi always upheld the concept of equality for all living beings, and he always felt disgusted by the things the immortals did, but his power was too weak to change much.
He wanted to take this opportunity of forging the sword to plead with the Celestial Emperor to restrict and stop the Celestial Race from doing what they were doing.
The five realms should develop peacefully and coexist harmoniously; a world that disrupts this balance will eventually perish.
Akari was surprised to hear that Danyoko had this idea.
This guy is really different. Chili re-examined Danyangzi. Danyangzi's face was quite handsome, but it had become rough from years of forging and blacksmithing. He himself didn't seem to care much about his appearance, unlike those fair-skinned immortals who couldn't stand the slightest dirt.
Dan Yangzi exuded the same aura of a swordsmith as Chi Li. Chi Li had sensed this restrained feeling from the very beginning, but the relationship between the immortal and demon races made her subconsciously ignore it.
A smile appeared on Akari's small face, and Danyoko looked at Akari with a serious gaze.
“You’re different from those guys. I admire you.”
Danyangzi blinked, thinking to herself that she wished Akari had said "like" instead of "appreciate".
