Chapter 149 A Kitten

Chi Miaomiao was a little tired and started to feel sleepy as soon as she got on the bus.

"Brother, I'm sleepy."

Yanluo patted her head.

"Miaomiao is working very hard, but let's wait a little longer, she can sleep after we get home."

Okay~

Chi Miaomiao perked up, stretched her body, and her beautiful figure made Yan Luo smile slightly.

Chi Miaomiao heard this laugh and, remembering some late-night program, blushed.

"Pah, you pervert!"

Yan Luo shrugged and looked ahead.

"Don't accuse me wrongly, or I'll sue you for defamation."

Chi Miaomiao chuckled and punched Yan Luo on the shoulder.

"You jerk."

While the two were talking, Yanluo suddenly felt herself bump into something in front of her.

So he immediately slammed on the brakes.

Chi Miaomiao was also startled; she could feel as if she had bumped into something.

But there's no one in front of me!

That must be some kind of small animal. Yanluo quickly got out of the car and saw a kitten lying on the ground not far from the pink car.

(Don't get distracted while driving!!)

The young man quickly ran towards the kitten. It was a small calico cat with beautiful markings, a typical black, orange, and white pattern with a pure white underside. Its fur looked very soft, but it was very dirty and was coughing up blood.

Chi Miaomiao also ran down and squatted down with Yan Luo to observe the kitten.

"What should we do, brother?"

Yanluo stretched out her fingers and placed them on Xiao Sanhua's body.

"I could only save its life with my own breath, and then take it to the vet."

As she spoke, Yanluo channeled her energy into the kitten's body.

"Kitten, I'm so sorry, it was my carelessness. I will definitely save you!"

Yanluo looked at the kitten apologetically.

This little calico seems to be very intelligent; similarly, its large, bright yellow eyes are staring at Yanluo.

Yanluo didn't dare to let too much in. After finishing, she quickly ran back to the car, grabbed a clean cloth, and wrapped the kitten in it. Chi Miaomiao picked up the kitten, and the two of them sped off to the pet hospital located in Yangcheng Square.

It happens to be the closest one.

After the veterinarian's examination, thankfully the problem wasn't too serious. Because Yanluo was talking to Chi Miaomiao at the time, the car wasn't going fast, but the kitten's left front paw was fractured and some internal organs were damaged. Fortunately, it can be treated, but it will need proper care to fully recover.

Chi Miaomiao sat down and patted her chest, still feeling a bit shaken.

"Brother, we have to take responsibility to the end, otherwise the kitten will be too pitiful."

Yanluo nodded, looking through the glass at the little chameleon receiving treatment in the clinic.

"Yes, it's all because of us, and we must take full responsibility."

Chi Miaomiao also looked inside with concern.

"It looks so tiny, it must only be a few months old. Did it get lost from its mother?"

"It's possible. Let's take good care of it and then send it back."

After the treatment, the doctor helped Yanluo and her companion register their information. However, they encountered a problem when it came to naming the kitten.

After learning the whole story, the doctor praised the two for their sense of responsibility, saying that anyone else would have just stepped on the gas and sped away.

Who would care whether a kitten or a puppy lives or dies?

"Let's not name it yet, let's just take good care of it first."

Yan and Luo nodded.

After completing the necessary procedures, Yanluo paid the fees. The kitten's anesthesia had almost worn off, and it lay weakly on its crib as the veterinarian wheeled it out of the treatment room.

Chi Miaomiao gently stroked the weak and somewhat dazed little floret.

"We're so sorry, little cat. We apologize to you. Don't worry, just stay here and recover. We'll take you back when you're better."

Little Sanhua seemed to understand Chi Miaomiao's words, and let out a soft sob.

This delighted Chi Miaomiao.

Yanluo also reached out and stroked the kitten's fur, actually replenishing the chaotic energy in the kitten's body to help it recover faster and alleviate some of its pain.

Chaotic Qi has multiple uses, all driven by Yan Luo's will. What kind of effects it can achieve remains to be discovered by Yan Luo.

The kitten was placed in a transparent observation room, which was actually a fairly large acrylic box lined with pee pads to keep the inside dry, which would help the kitten recover.

The kitten must have been very tired; it lay down and fell asleep as soon as it went inside.

Yan Luo and Chi Miaomiao exchanged a smile and then left the pet hospital.

On the way home.

Chi Miaomiao looked ahead and sighed.

"That was a close call. Luckily, the car wasn't going fast, otherwise a precious life would have been lost for nothing."

Yan Luo was still shaken. Although she had paid special attention to the road conditions ahead while talking to Chi Miaomiao, she never expected a kitten to suddenly appear. And with the pink car having such a high chassis, how could it have crashed into her?

But since it was a real collision, we can't shirk our responsibility.

"That kitten is so cute! I wonder if it would like to come home with us?"

Chi Miaomiao looked at Yan Luo with expectation in her eyes.

Yanluo understood what she meant.

"Once its injuries heal, we'll take it back to where it was hit and see if its family is there."

"If they're here, bring them home together; if they're not, bring them home anyway."

Chi Miaomiao scoffed.

"Why does it give off a bandit vibe?"

"Don't wrong me! I'm an outstanding young person in Longxia today. Be careful, or I'll sue you for defamation!"

It would be best to take them home. The world is too cruel to stray animals these days. Some starve to death, some freeze to death, and some even become psychologically disturbed and harm them.

I believe that legislation against animal cruelty will be enacted in the near future.

You don't have to love, but please don't hurt.

This world has never been dominated by the human race alone; other races also live here.

The world is not just a human world.

It was already 3 p.m. when I got home.

Chi Miaomiao was no longer sleepy and planned to sleep later that night, so she pulled Bai Ningbing to the sofa and started talking about what happened at noon.

Su Qing and Tu Yier had just finished their afternoon nap and walked out of the room. Tu Yier, smiling like a little elf, jumped into Yan Luo's arms.

Yanluo took her to the bathroom to wash her face and refresh herself.

Tu Keke sat on the sofa, her homework spread out on the table, holding a pen and bending over, writing the homework her teacher had assigned the night before.

I wrote and complained at the same time.

"Hey, what's the teacher doing? She still has to grade our work after we finish writing. Isn't this just increasing her workload?"

Yanluo carried the little one out of the bathroom and overheard Tu Keke's complaints.

The young man stroked the golden retriever's mane.

"Your teacher doesn't want you to slack off either, okay? I'll make you something delicious tonight."

When Tu Keke heard about the delicious food, her light blue eyes lit up, and she focused on her homework.

Yanluo put Tu Yier down and let her go play with her aunts, while she went downstairs to wash some fruit and brought it up.

After washing the fruit, Yanluo divided it into portions, two of which were to be sent to Tu Luoxue's room, where the little white-haired girl and the baby-faced loli girl were writing furiously.

After knocking on the door and receiving permission, Yanluo pushed the door open and entered, placing the fruit down.

"Eat some fruit, don't work so hard, take a break when you need to, and make sure you have a balance between work and rest."
