Okay~
The two girls responded in unison.
Tu Luoxue put down her pen, stretched her stiff body, and looked at Yan Luo, wanting to replenish her energy, but Lu Jiajing was still there, so Tu Luoxue could only force herself to hold back.
"I'll come back when no one's around," Tu Luoxue sighed inwardly.
Yanluo, who had just turned and walked out of the room, suddenly trembled.
What happened?
Why do I feel a chill down my spine?
Su Qing was still a little dazed. When she saw Yan Luo sit down next to her, she leaned on his arm.
Yanluo gently tucked Su Qing's stray hairs behind her ears.
Still sleepy?
Su Qing pouted.
"A little."
Yanluo helped Su Qing up and reached out to take a few blueberries.
"Eat some blueberries to wake up."
Su Qing opened her mouth and ate it; it was quite sweet.
After yawning, Su Qing finally perked up. Taking advantage of everyone's inattention, she secretly kissed Yan Luo, then got up and headed for the bathroom.
It was still early, so Yanluo went to the master bedroom, turned on his computer, and began another day of immersive writing as a writer without any drafts.
Dinner is a gathering of the family's opinions. For example, Tu Keke wants fried chicken legs, while Tu Luoxue and Lu Jiajing want fried crispy pork. Yan Luo tries her best to satisfy the children's desires.
After all, dinner is very important, and it's super nice to be able to eat what you want.
The day came to October 27th.
It was five days after I hit the kitten. The hospital informed me that the kitten was recovering very well and was already able to walk normally.
And coincidentally, it was Sunday, so in the afternoon, Yanluo and Chi Miaomiao went out to the pet hospital.
Upon arriving at the hospital, through the transparent panel, the kitten was stretching its body energetically, looking as if it had just woken up. Seeing Yanluo and Chi Miaomiao arrive, the little calico cat very intelligently came forward.
The pet nurse said she could take it out and hold it, and Chi Miaomiao certainly didn't want to miss it. She opened the door of the transparent box and gently took the little calico out. The little calico was very well-behaved when she was picked up.
It stuck out its pink little tongue and licked the fingers that Chi Miaomiao was teasing.
It made Chi Miaomiao a little itchy.
"You're so cute, little kitten!"
"Would you like to come home with us?"
Perhaps it was truly sentient, because as soon as Chi Miaomiao finished speaking, the little calico cat meowed without hesitation.
A glint flashed in Chi Miaomiao's beautiful peach blossom eyes.
"What an adorable baby!"
Yanluo smiled as she looked at the person and the cat.
The doctor walked over with the report in his hand, his brow furrowed.
"This kitten's resilience is the best I've ever seen in all my years in the business!"
"It's only been a few days, and I've basically recovered."
"This is a fracture! It takes a hundred days to recover from a broken bone, let alone such a small cat."
The doctor, wearing glasses, looked utterly incredulous.
Yan Luo and Chi Miaomiao knew the reason, but they had to put on a good show.
The young man exclaimed in surprise, "Really! Doctor! Could this be a divine cat?"
Holding her baby, Chi Miaomiao turned her head away to suppress her laughter, while Yan Luo's serious surprise was hard to hide.
The doctor nodded seriously.
"It's very likely, you two, that this cat doesn't have an owner, right?"
"How about we keep it at our hospital?"
Yanlu smiled and declined, saying, "No, doctor. Maybe it still has a mother. We plan to send it back to its original place to see if its mother is still there."
The doctor understood Yanluo's meaning and looked regretfully at the well-behaved little calico in Chi Miaomiao's arms.
“That’s right. Then come with me. Once the formalities are completed, you can take it with you.”
After completing the formalities, the little calico was placed in a pet carrier and taken away by Yanluo and his companion.
The two drove to the vicinity of the police station, where they had hit the young woman a few days earlier.
After getting off the car, Chi Miaomiao opened the pet carrier, and the little calico cat came out. It sniffed the ground with its pink little nose, looked at Chi Miaomiao and Yanluo reluctantly, and then ran away.
Chi Miaomiao stared at the kitten's departing figure, momentarily lost in thought.
These past few days, Yanluo and her have been going to the vet to check on the little calico cat's recovery. The kitten is very well-behaved; it always comes up to them and meows whenever it sees them, which is very endearing.
For some reason, Chi Miaomiao began to regard Xiao Sanhua as her own pet.
But reality told her that it wasn't true; Xiao Sanhua must have had a family, otherwise she wouldn't have left.
Although this relationship came somewhat suddenly and was rather short-lived, Chi Miaomiao still wished in her heart that Xiao Sanhua could live a good life with her mother.
Yan Luo helped Chi Miaomiao up from her squatting position and comforted the sentimental girl by embracing her.
"Okay, it's good that it can go back to its mother, we should be happy."
Chi Miaomiao nodded and closed the pet carrier door.
"What should we do with this box?"
"Go back and stuff King Cocoa inside."
Without hesitation, Yan Luo spoke with utmost seriousness.
Chi Miaomiao glanced at him speechlessly.
The two had just turned around to walk back when they sensed something and turned back.
The little calico cat, with a small handkerchief in its mouth, was running towards Yanluo and Chimiaomiao with all its might.
"Meow—meow—"
Chi Miaomiao turned around in surprise and squatted down to welcome the arrival of the little calf.
The kitten jumped into Chi Miaomiao's arms and rubbed against her, meowing incessantly.
"Kitten, haven't you found your mother?"
The little calico girl's big yellow eyes looked a bit confused.
What, Mom? I just went back to get my blanket.
Yanluo saw that it was carrying a small handkerchief in its mouth, which was about the same size as itself, and immediately realized that it must be its blanket or something.
"It seems this little guy hasn't been living on his own for very long; his little handkerchief is quite clean."
"It's so small, it won't live long if no one takes care of it."
Chi Miaomiao picked up the little floret and looked at Yanluo with hopeful eyes.
"Alright, I was going to take it back anyway. Let's go buy cat food and a cat bed."
Chi Miaomiao said with a smile.
"And vaccines and such."
Yan Luo nodded thoughtfully.
"Yes, yes, yes."
Naturally, the little calico cat went home with Yan Luo and his companion.
It just so happens that Tu Yier had been talking about wanting a kitten like Nyanko-sensei the other day, and they are both calico cats.
If you feed it, it will surely become a fat cat in the future.
After buying all the necessary items, the two people and the cat returned home.
Su Qing and Bai Ningbing were at the dining table on the first floor, discussing what delicious food to make for dinner, while a little girl sat on Aunt Fox's lap.
Seeing that Chi Miaomiao had a kitten in her arms, Yan Luo was carrying many bags.
The aunts and uncles led Tu Yi'er to greet them.
"Where did this kitten come from?" Su Qing asked the two of them, puzzled.
"Could it be the one you two bumped into?"
Seeing Chi Miaomiao nod, Su Qing smiled faintly.
Tu Yier happily jumped down from her fox aunt's arms, took the kitten, and spun around joyfully.
The little calico cat meowed happily, looking like it really liked Tu Yier.
The three girls on the second floor looked down and noticed there was an extra kitten.
