Chapter 10

Chapter 10

Cassel woke up early. When he woke up, it was just dawn. The red sun rises, reflecting the sea, and golden clouds gather, like a phoenix.

He squatted on the sea and scooped water to wash his face. But when the water dried, my skin also became dry. I realized later that it seemed like the water had salt added to it.

Cassel curled his lips and rubbed his face reluctantly. He turned around and saw Nie Wuhen and Bai Yi standing not far away, seemingly talking about something.

"You want to send him back." Bai Yi thought for a moment, "but do you know where his home is? Don't tell me that idiot knows. If the idiot knows, do you think he will come to find you?"

Nie Wuhen wiped the Wuwang Sword and thought it made sense, but he didn't show it on his face: "I don't know. That mermaid was able to use magic power after breaking the cinnabar mole. It's too outrageous. Bai Yi, your pills are not working well recently, right?"

"Who knows if it's because my elixir is ineffective, or because it's ineffective against the mermaid," Bai Yi cast his eyes on the stunned Cassel and called him over, "Let me ask you, have you given anything to that mermaid?"

Cassel walked over and thought seriously: "Sword Master... let me give him a jade pendant."

Bai Yi glanced at Nie Wuhen, who shook his head slightly at him: "There can't be anything wrong with the jade pendant."

The two looked at each other for a moment and said nothing more.

Cassel didn't understand what riddles they were asking, so he just tugged at his tentacles out of boredom. The surroundings were quiet for a long time. Finally, he heard Nie Wuhen ask him: "Since you want to go home, where is your home? Do you know?"

Speaking of this, Cassel's eyes lit up instantly. He loosened his hand, looked up at Nie Wuhen, and said seriously: "Devil's Hell. My home is in Devil's Hell."

hell……

Nie Wuhen was speechless. He pulled the corner of his mouth, turned around and walked away.

Cassel didn't understand what was going on, so he turned around and looked at Bai Yi. Bai Yi tapped his fan and gave a fake smile: "Really? Home is in hell, it's really a strange place."

Back to the way we first met. Cassel tugged at the chain on his wrist a little frustrated and was forced to follow Nie Wuhen. He wanted to complain several times, but in the end he only moved his lips. When Nie Wuhen looked over, he immediately smiled ingratiatingly.

Bai Yi walked in a row with him and chatted with him in a random manner, introducing various delicacies, local scenery, and various beauties. Cassel listened attentively at the beginning, but became a little confused at the end.

When Bai Yi said something like a water snake's waist, his first reaction was the demon with several heads in the devil's hell. When it saw him, it opened its bloody mouth, and he was so scared that he didn't dare to get close.

Bai Yi said something about being as gorgeous as peach and plum, and as beautiful as a fairy... Well, Cassel didn't understand anything at all. He looked at Bai Yi and talked a lot. Finally, he covered his face with a fan, smiled and asked Cassel what type he liked.

Cassel touched the antennae and asked him in a low voice: "What does 'beautiful as peaches and plums' mean? And what else... Immortal, I don't quite understand."

Bai Yi: "..."

Very good, he talked in vain.

As he was speaking, he saw Nie Wuhen in front of him stopped. He pressed down the vibrating Wuwang sword at his waist, raised his eyes, and looked solemnly at everything around him.

A cold wind blew, blowing away the fallen leaves. The rustling sound became louder and louder, and then I got goose bumps all over my body.

Bai Yi suppressed the frivolous smile on his face, clenched the fan in his hand, and looked around vigilantly.

Cassel also obviously felt something was wrong. He swallowed and wanted to run, but he didn't know where to run. He subconsciously took a step or two back, only to see Nie Wuhen in front of him quickly draw his sword and stab towards him!

Cassel's eyes widened, the fear made his whole body numb and weak. He stood frozen in place, unable to even dodge, and could only watch the sharp blade being unsheathed.

It was not until he heard a scream that Cassel turned his head stiffly and saw the Wuwang Sword killing the beast that was about to eat him.

Someone grabbed Cassel's wrist, and before he could react, Nie Wuhen pulled him between him and Bai Yi.

Nie Wuhen frowned: "I've lived enough"

Cassel quickly apologized and whispered sorry. But no one cared now, because all eyes were on the beast.

Nie Wuhen stepped forward and used his sword to push the beast away. The beast looks a bit weird. It didn't look like a lion or a bird. It had gray mane all over its body, and its skin near its cheeks was cracked like the earth that had been dry for three years. On the back are huge wings.

"What kind of monster is this?" Bai Yi was curious. "Why is it hiding here and ambushing us?"

"A gluttonous beast," Nie Wuhen said in a deep voice, "a low-level beast that escaped from the demon world, good at using illusions and feeding on humans. I just don't know why it appeared near the South China Sea."

Bai Yi kicked the gluttonous beast and said, "This place is very strange. We walked along this forest from dawn to dusk, but we haven't gotten out yet. Moreover, the fog around us is getting thicker and thicker..." At the end of his words, Bai Yi's voice became more serious, and he concluded, "There may be a big monster lurking."

"If a demon cultivator blocks the way, then kill the demon cultivator. If a monster blocks the way, then kill the monster." Nie Wuhen raised his eyelids, his voice was as cold as ice. "Playing tricks is the most annoying thing."

Cassel tried hard to shrink himself and minimize his presence. He has no magical powers now. Even if he did, he would probably die halfway if he relied on himself.

Barbatos was still waiting for him, and he still had to go home.

He followed Nie Wuhen and Bai Yi forward, keeping pace with them, fearing that they would lose him. However, he was so engrossed in his thoughts that he didn't even notice when Nie Wuhen stopped, and ended up bumping into them.

It hurts so much. Cassel stepped back quickly. He never knew that Nie Wuhen's back was as thick as Barbatos' armor, and it was so prickly that it pressed on his soft tentacles.

Nie Wuhen turned around and saw Cassel's accusing and resentful eyes, but when that look touched him, it turned into fear, and then turned into flattery.

Nie Wuhen looked down at him, his tall figure almost covering the thin figure. He was emotionally unclear and said, "Don't laugh."

Cassel's smile froze: "Ah?"

For the first time, Nie Wuhen showed a look of disdain and commented: "It's so ugly."

Cassel was stunned.

Nie Wuhen turned and left.

Cassel had heard many angels praise themselves for being cute, beautiful, and pure, and had also heard many demons call themselves troublemakers and bad guys, but he had never heard anyone say that they were ugly!

Cassel was dumbfounded and depressed. The wings behind him seemed to sense his master's emotions and drooped down. He found a place, facing a big tree, as if he was thinking about his mistakes. His fingertips were digging into the bark, and Cassel's head was almost buried in the ground.

Bai Yi brought a pile of firewood over and cast a spell to make the firewood burn. He took a cushion from his waist and sat down comfortably. Just as he was about to look at Cassel, he saw the latter facing the big tree, emitting sadness and sorrow.

He felt strange, thinking that he didn't bully him, so he turned to look at Nie Wuhen who looked as if it had nothing to do with him, and called him in a low voice.

Nie Wuhen raised his eyelids and looked at him.

Bai Yi winked at him and communicated with him through telepathy: What's going on?

Nie Wuhen replied: I don’t know.

Bai Yi: "..."

He couldn't ask anything. But seeing that the two men still had chains on their wrists, he hesitated for a moment and finally walked over to Cassel. At least the three of them have to walk together. You can't just abandon someone halfway or spend the whole journey in this awkward atmosphere.

So, Bai Yi considered it and tried to smooth things over, saying: "What's wrong? Are you angry with your senior brother?"

Cassel reached out to wipe his tears and looked up at Bai Yi. He knew it was useless to complain, but he still spoke, almost choking with sobs: "Nie Wuhen said I was ugly..."

Bai Yi: "..."

The atmosphere just became quiet.

After a while, the sky became completely dark. In the distance, the howling of wolves and roaring of lions could be heard one after another, and the fog around them became thicker and thicker. The flames were burning, and the three people gathered in the middle. Bai Yi acted as if nothing had happened, adding firewood while roasting the wild fish.

Cassel just watched eagerly, sometimes massaging Bai Yi's legs, sometimes kneading his shoulders, his eyes moving back and forth between the grilled fish and Bai Yi.

Bai Yi enjoyed it very much. He stretched and said, "What's your name?"

"Cassell."

"Do you know anyone? Like, a friend?"

Cassel stared at the grilled fish and took the time to answer him: "No one."

Bai Yi continued to ask: "Just you"

"No, the ones I know are not human," Cassel blinked and said, "There are angels and demons."

Bai Yi said he didn't understand. He was too lazy to ask more questions. Seeing that the fish was cooked, he picked up the fish meat and placed it in front of Cassel, teasing him: "Do you want to eat it?"

Cassel nodded vigorously and said he wanted to.

Bai Yi smiled evilly and lowered his voice: "Go and call Brother Nie Wuhen, and when you come back, everything will be yours."

Cassel was stunned: "Is it okay?"

Bai Yi encouraged him and urged him to go quickly.

Cassel looked at the fish and swallowed again. Although he seems to be allergic to fish, this is really delicious and he is really hungry. After walking all day from morning till night, he was really starving to death.

So, after hesitating for a moment, he walked up to Nie Wuhen who was meditating, squatted down, and carefully pulled Nie Wuhen's sleeve.

Nie Wuhen is using the mermaid pearl to suppress his inner demons. The mermaid pearl has the ability to purify, but at this moment, due to the lack of the yin energy of the Eight Yin Elements, the effect is reduced. Nie Wuhen closed his eyes and fought against his inner demons, when he suddenly felt someone pulling his sleeve.

“…”

Nie Wuhen opened his eyes, looking at Cassel with hostility between his eyebrows.

Cassel was so frightened that he immediately let go, shook his head in fear and said, "I, I didn't do anything."

Nie Wuhen glanced at Bai Yi, who was laughing so hard, and probably guessed something. He stood up with his sword in hand without saying a word.

Cassel's heart trembled. He stepped back tremblingly and explained in a low voice: "I really didn't do anything... No, that's not right, I just pulled your sleeve..."

Nie Wuhen's expression showed confusion for a moment, but it disappeared quickly. He walked over silently, snatched the fish from Bai Yi's hand, and threw it into the fire.

Bai Yi was stunned: "We didn't do anything. We just pulled your sleeve. Did you really have to throw away all the fish?"

"You and I have no worries about hunger, but we have forgotten about him." Nie Wuhen took out a bundle from his waist and was about to throw it to Cassel, but then he remembered the lesson from the past, and after a moment of silence, he handed it to Cassel, "Take it."

Cassel looked at his expression and took it.

"You're allergic to fish, don't eat it," Nie Wuhen reminded, while untying the chains on their wrists - there was going to be a tough battle later, "I don't want to waste the pills."
