"Su Chen, Su Chen! Wake up! Get up!"
It was the dog system's voice! Instantly, the hazy scene before her eyes turned into ashes, followed by a burst of white light that blinded her.
Su Chen's eyes were half-closed as she slowly adjusted to the surrounding light.
"See, I told you you were fine. You just drank a few mouthfuls of river water, it won't kill you." Ningwu looked at Su Chen who had woken up and complained, "The little dumpling just wouldn't believe me, and she's been chattering away and bothering me these past few days."

Ning Wu nodded, unsure whether to advise Su Chen to let it go or to curse the villain for being cold-blooded and despicable.
"I thought that after spending so much time together, even if he didn't fall in love with me, he would at least have some feelings for me." Was she wrong?
Ningwu didn't know how to say it, so he simply pretended to be a piece of wood on the side.
Su Chen felt a pang of sadness, a feeling that shouldn't have been on her mind. Wasn't all of this just a mission? Wasn't she supposed to be heartless, with emotions only ever existing for fleeting moments? Why then did her heart ache so much that tears welled up in her eyes?
"Su Chen?" Even the slow-witted little dumpling noticed that something was wrong with her and ran to her palm to rub against her worriedly.
"It's nothing." Su Chen smiled and rubbed the little dumpling's head. "I'll be fine soon. I guess my period is coming."
Ning Wu was really uncomfortable with Su Chen's current expression. After holding back for a while, he finally made up his mind and said, "Why don't you scold me?"
Su Chen smiled and shook her head, "No need, it'll be ready in a moment."
Seeing her like this, Ning Wu's heart immediately went on high alert. Impossible?! This wasn't Su Chen's personality! She'd already been sent over to Su Chen for a scolding. Su Chen couldn't possibly let this opportunity pass without giving her a good dressing down!
Su Chen raised her head after a while, her expression looking no different from usual.
"How are things with the male and female leads? Has anyone said anything about my disappearance?"
