"Don't thank me, it was that kid Jin Yu who insisted on bringing you here. You were half dead in that kid's arms, and I felt bad for you, so I just rescued you."
Her long hair danced in the wind, her light purple dress fluttered in the breeze, and her white bodice, set against the purple outer garment, gave her an indescribable sense of elegance.
But what she said made Su Chen burst out laughing.
What's going on? The art style seems a bit off?
"Look, that kid's here." The woman pointed in the direction of the woods.
Su Chen turned her head and saw Jin Yu, dressed in white, walking out of the woods.
Su Chen turned around again, and the woman who had been standing in front of the hall had disappeared.
"Thank you," Su Chen said, clasping her hands in thanks.
"Mm," Jin Yu nodded.
"Huh?" Eh? Shouldn't immortals in TV dramas always have an ethereal and otherworldly style, and usually say "You're welcome" in such situations? Why are the styles of these characters all off?
“If you really want to thank me, young lady…” Jin Yu frowned and pondered for a moment, “then you can fetch water, water the flowers, and cook for me here…”
"Stop! Stop! Hold on!" Su Chen broke out in a cold sweat. "Are you really not going to be polite?"
"Don't mention it, I saved your life, young lady." At this point, Jin Yu raised a spirited eyebrow. "Tell me, which is more important... this life or these jobs?"
Su Chen's inner monologue: Uh, forgive her for not realizing this person's cunning before. But... cunning, well, that does sound a lot like a villainous big boss.
Su Chen raised his head and observed Jin Yu's eyes for a while. His eyes were relatively pure, unlike the dark eyes of the villainous boss. But why did his eyes look exactly the same as the villainous boss's?
Is he really the main villain?
"Why are you looking at me like that, young lady?" Jin Yu blushed, made a fist in front of her mouth, and coughed lightly.
Su Chen snapped out of her daze and quickly lowered her head to apologize, "I'm sorry, you really look like someone I know."
Jin Yu's eyes flashed, and her lips tightened. "An old friend? Is that old friend your fellow Daoist?"
Su Chen shook her head.
Jin Yu lowered her eyes as if she had relaxed.
Su Chen added, "He is my husband."
Jin Yu raised her eyes, a different emotion flashing within them, but it was quickly masked by a smile.
Jin Yu pulled out a colorful feather fan from somewhere and covered her lips, saying, "Miss, don't try to fool me. This is a term of address used only by married couples in the human world."
"Hey? Is this feather fan made from the feathers you conjured up that day?" Su Chen asked, feigning curiosity, pointing at the feather fan in his hand.
Jin Yu knew that she didn't want to talk about it, so she took it as a deliberate change of topic and said, "Yes."
Su Chen exclaimed in amazement, "Are you a golden pheasant? How can you conjure up so many different colored feathers?"
"What did you say?" Jin Yu felt a throbbing in her temples.
Su Chen obediently repeated, "Golden Pheasant."
"I am an immortal." Jin Yu rubbed her temples.
Su Chen nodded, indicating that she knew, and persisted, "What about before becoming an immortal? Wasn't it a golden pheasant?"
"It's a person." Jin Yu felt both of her temples throbbing at the same time.
"Why can people conjure up feathers?" Su Chen blinked, looking at him with the curiosity of a child.
Jin Yu: "The Thousand Feather Robe was given to me by my master."
Su Chen: "Who is your master?"
Jin Yu: "That old woman from earlier."
Su Chen: "I feel your master is very young, you shouldn't..."
Before they could finish their sentence, they heard a gentle voice say in their ears, "You little brat, you called me an old woman?"
