Jin Yu remained completely calm and didn't turn around. "Isn't that right? You're thousands of years old, aren't you?"
"I should have let you get beaten to death by those people back then. What a waste of my immortal energy." It was that familiar "gentle" female voice.
Su Chen turned around upon hearing the sound, only to find that the fairy who had saved her had reappeared at the palace gate.
Jin Yu raised an eyebrow, turned around and said, "Tsk tsk, is it because you're getting old and have wrinkles that you haven't shown your face all this time?"
Su Chen's inner monologue: Question: Just how many attributes does Jin Yu have? She's not only seemingly innocent but also cunning, and incredibly sarcastic?
"You..." The long-haired fairy lightly raised her left hand, and a beam of purple light flew out, heading straight for Jin Yu's face.
Jin Yu easily dodged it with a swift movement, "Sure enough, magic doesn't work as well as it does now that I'm old."
"You wait, I'll have your senior uncle come and see the state you're in now." The long-haired fairy was probably furious, as her originally gentle tone was now tinged with anger.
"No, no, my master wishes I would perish and my soul would vanish sooner so as not to disturb your peaceful cultivation." Jin Yu's eyes were filled with a smile.
“That’s right. If he comes, he might be half-dead again, and then I’ll have to waste my immortal energy.” The long-haired fairy flung her sleeves and was about to leave.
"Who made my precious Lu'er angry?" A man in a blue robe appeared out of nowhere.
Su Chen had already been sitting on the ground eating melons in peace, but when she saw another handsome man appear, she almost drooled.
"I wonder where you've been wandering around all this time. How come you know to come back today?" Jin Yu's master, Lu'er, the precious daughter of the man in the blue robe, was no longer the pure and refined fairy she had been just moments before. Instead, she was now throwing a punch at the man in the blue robe who had just arrived.
Su Chen's jaw had been dislocated in shock, but she managed to straighten it back into place on her own.
"Don't be angry, I'll kneel on durians when I get home, okay, okay..."
A woman in green and a woman in purple left hand in hand, leaving behind Su Chen, who was still sitting on the ground eating melons, and Jin Yu, who stood there smiling without saying a word.
"Are these two Daoist partners?" Su Chen tugged at Jin Yu's trouser leg.
"Um."
"How many years have you been a Daoist couple?"
"I don't know, they were already there when I arrived."
"How many years ago did you come here?"
"Three hundred years ago."
"..."
Because of Fairy Lu's great mercy, Su Chen was finally able to recuperate here.
Every day I water the flowers and weed, and when I have nothing else to do, I pick mushrooms in the woods.
However, after Su Chen used the kitchen once, no one allowed her to enter it anymore.
It seemed that her cooking was so delicious that the only dish Su Chen ever made made them cry.
As Su Chen watched them weep and wail, she stood with her hands on her hips, still looking tormented, and said, "Wasn't my cooking delicious? When I made it for the orcs before, they would fight over it! I really do have a talent for cooking."
Jin Yu paused for a moment before asking, "I would like to ask, are those orcs you mentioned still alive?"
Su Chen scratched his head, uncertainly saying, "Live..."
When Master Jinyu and Fairy Lu heard these words, the hand holding the bowl trembled, and two bitter tears fell.
Lu Xiannu's Daoist partner, Wen Jiuri, silently handed over her handkerchief.
"Since you all love it so much, I'll cook for you every day." Su Chen was surprised that her cooking was so delicious and immediately became interested.
"No, no need." Lu Xiannu's Daoist partner, Wen Jiuri, shook his head with a smile. "Miss Su Chen's cooking is too delicious. Eating too much will shorten our lifespan."
