Su Chen hadn't been a strategist for long when she heard that Wu Yue had been arrested.
She had witnessed Xing An's changes over the years, and it was impossible for her to say she had no feelings for Wu Yue whatsoever. Her former lover, whom she hadn't seen for three years, stood before her, and she grabbed him without even blinking?
Could it be that she went too far with her guidance back then? Did it actually cause cracks in the relationship between the male and female leads?
Su Chen wondered if she should explain what happened back then to Xing An, and also rekindle her hatred for the villainous boss.
However, Bai Ze was not the mastermind behind the murder of her adoptive father, and the ammunition and series of conspiracies back then had nothing to do with Bai Ze. If the female lead's hatred were to be drawn into this situation, it would seem unfair to Bai Ze.
It seems that the only solution now is to find out who is behind this.
And so, Su Chen's life became busy again.
Bai Ze often saw his intelligence agents coming and going in Su Chen's office.
Those people had all consulted him, and he said, "Su Chen represents all my opinions."
Su Chen was not happy at all when she heard Bai Ze say that. She felt that he just didn't want to use his brain and dumped a bunch of messes on her.
Just as further intelligence emerged, the situation on Wu Yue's side couldn't wait any longer.
Su Chen heard that Xing An was going to hand Wu Yue over to the organization tomorrow. To be honest, the organization that Xing An and Wu Yue served was nothing like the mysterious Orc Legion; they openly declared that their organization was the strongest in the universe.
Moreover, this organization doesn't just kill traitors; they are subjected to torture and forced to reveal everything they know before they can be given a quick death.
Su Chen saw that the male protagonist was going to Purgatory the next day, and that Purgatory was not something that the orc legion could break through. The only way to save him was to kidnap him before the female protagonist handed him over.
Having made up her mind, Su Chen knocked on Bai Ze's table, "Lend me a team of people."
Bai Ze was dozing off when he was startled awake by the knock. "What? Going to intercept someone?"
"Um."
"Go."
Surprised that he lent her the person so readily, Su Chen was taken aback and asked, "Aren't you going to ask me why?"
"No need, I trust you." Bai Ze said this with his eyes slightly narrowed, his gaze containing a complexity that Su Chen couldn't understand.
Su Chen gave him a deep look, then turned and walked away, clutching her helmet.
Bai Ze watched her retreating figure, his brows furrowing deeper and deeper. He had a feeling that the time on the spaceship wasn't the first time he'd seen her; it seemed like he'd seen her a long, long time ago… Where was she…?
Su Chen led a small team to infiltrate Xing An's warship. They were careful and didn't disturb anyone along the way, making their way smoothly to the place where Wu Yue was being held.
Wu Yue's limbs were bound by ropes made of an unknown material. The ropes seemed to be electrified, and sparks flew from the joints.
Su Chen looked around, cursed, and shouted, "Retreat!"
Su Chen detonated a smoke grenade, and the team successfully retreated under the cover of smoke.
When the smoke cleared, only Su Chen, who was surrounded by clouds, and Xing An at the entrance remained.
"It's you?" Xing An seemed surprised that Su Chen was the one who broke into the prison.
"It's me." Su Chen hadn't intended to run away, so she readily admitted it.
"Why?" Why save this person?
"I don't think now is the time to speak." Su Chen had a weapon pressed against her neck, and blood trickled down her fair skin.
