"Account books?" Su Chen glanced again at the words at the top of the page that looked like cockroaches crawling. "Does being a strategist mean you have to manage account books?"
"Can you read these words?" Su Chen pointed to the dense scribbles on the book.
The little dumpling nodded and then shook her head. "I felt it."
"Feel?" Su Chen became interested. "How about you feel all three stacks together and then tell me about it?"
The little dumpling said with difficulty, "It takes a lot of mental energy."
Su Chen asked curiously, "Mental strength? What would happen if you lacked mental strength?"
Pink Dumpling: "It will be very tiring, and I will need to soak in the spiritual spring in the space for a few days."
Su Chen: "Then... you can soak in the spiritual spring as you like, but condense these three stacks of things and tell me about them."
"Really?" The little pink dumpling's eyes lit up.
Su Chen nodded, "I will never break my promise."
However, it was not easy to read the general meaning from these three thick stacks. It took one person and one group more than five hours to finish.
Su Chen hadn't expected that the orc legion's business wasn't limited to fighting; sometimes they would take on special missions and even have businesses on many planets.
Su Chen had no idea how Bai Ze had managed to survive those years without military support, yet he hadn't managed to dismantle the orc army; it was truly a miracle.
Of course, Wu Yue was probably in charge of these things for the past three years, so Su Chen, who had all the accounts in good order, felt that she didn't need to worry about them for the time being.
Pink Dumpling had already gone to soak in the spiritual spring in her spatial dimension, while Su Chen was still sorting through some recent accounts on paper. It felt like studying the night before finals—tired but forced to look at them.
Just then, the hatch opened wide, and Bai Ze walked in with his hands behind his back like an old man.
The first thing he said when he came in was, "I want to drink meat soup."
Su Chen ignored him; if it weren't for him, she wouldn't be burying herself in her studies here.
Thinking of this, she immediately lost her temper, rolled her eyes, and said, "Just think about it."
Bai Ze: "No, I want to drink it now."
Su Chen: "Go find the kitchen."
Bai Ze: "No, I want to drink what you made."
Su Chen looked up at the rogue version of Bai Ze, took a deep breath, and then exhaled heavily.
Fine, she won't stoop to the level of an idiot.
"Hurry up and make it, I want to drink it." Bai Ze looked at Su Chen, who was still looking down at the ledger, with dissatisfaction.
"Brother, you're the one who told me to look at this. I haven't even finished looking at it and you're already asking me to make soup for you?" Su Chen wanted to throw down her pen.
"Uh... cough cough." Bai Ze coughed awkwardly twice. "I'll give you two days. Now make me some meat soup."
After saying that, he pulled her out from behind the desk and pushed her out of the cabin door.
Su Chen looked at the tightly closed hatch and sighed in frustration. Well, she guessed she owed him! She glared at the hatch and turned to go to the cafeteria.
...
Some corner of the universe.
A cold laugh came from the figure shrouded in darkness. "Wu Yue has reappeared? Ha, she's really lucky."
"Heh, then... kill them again, and take that girl who should have died long ago with her!"
The eerie laughter mingled with the darkness, sending chills down one's spine.
"Let's keep Bai Ze for now; it won't be fun if he dies."
Then, he looked down at the person kneeling before him and coaxed in a hoarse voice, "Don't be afraid. The White Feather Clan is all dead. Who in the world can do anything to us? This universe and this Water-Sky System are nothing to us."
The person in the darkness raised their sleeve, and in the dim, cold light, several slender, withered green insect claws, resembling bamboo joints, peeked out from the open cuff.
