Chapter 407 Interstellar Escape (Thirty-Two)

Just looking at two densely packed things is creepy, let alone a combination of the two.

Su Chen could even see their eyes glowing an eerie red light under the spaceship's searchlight.

Su Chen grabbed Bai Ze's hand as he was about to open the hatch and shook her head.

Bai Ze knew she was scared, and thinking that these creatures were indeed strange, he withdrew his hand and hugged Su Chen's head.

Su Chen was truly terrified, burying her face in Bai Ze's chest and trembling uncontrollably.

For some reason, when I saw these strange insects at night, what flashed before my eyes was a scene even more terrifying than what I was seeing now.

The scene was indescribable; if I had to find a word, it would be... a den of demons!

Bai Ze frowned as he saw her trembling so much. He had a feeling that there had been a woman who had been held in his arms, trembling just like that. Somehow, he found himself kissing her face, a dense, persistent kiss, as if that could drive away her fear.

Seeing the woman in his arms trembling more and more violently, Bai Ze had no choice but to open the underground hatch, and the two of them slid into a world filled with warm light.

Bai Ze held Su Chen tighter and tighter, until finally... the trembling subsided, until the person in his arms pushed him away, whimpering through her nose, "Are you trying to suffocate me?"

Bai Ze finally relaxed a little, loosened his grip slightly, and asked in his softest voice, "Are you feeling better?"

Su Chen nodded. "I'm feeling much better."

Bai Ze finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"Have you seen those insects?" Su Chen couldn't help but shudder again as she thought of the scene just now.

Bai Ze shook his head.

Su Chen's heart tightened again, and she said nervously, "It seems this planet is not simple. Don't get off the spaceship easily tomorrow."

"Okay." Bai Ze straightened her messy hair and then tucked it into her hair.

Such a gentle and tender gesture made Su Chen blush deeply. "Alright, I'll just lie here."

"Here?" Bai Ze looked around. There was no bed, not even a stool or table.

Su Chen nodded. "I don't want to go back to my room." She longed for sunlight from the bottom of her heart, even if it was artificial, because it could dispel most of her fears.

For some reason, she remembered a ghost story she used to read late at night in her dorm, which said that no matter how powerful evil spirits are, they are afraid of light. Perhaps she had memorized those words, which is why she felt safer in the light after being frightened.

Thinking back, her fear of the dark wasn't so severe back then, but now... no, it should be said that after transmigrating to different worlds, her fear of the dark has become more and more severe, as if countless demons are lurking in the darkness, waiting to give her a fatal blow when she lets her guard down.

Bai Ze, watching her face turn pale and then red, knew she was terrified.

Thinking that the lawn here wasn't prickly and wouldn't be cold under the warm sunlight, he figured it wouldn't hurt to lie here for the night. With that thought, he sat down on the lawn.

Su Chen saw him sit down and came to her senses, so she sat down with him. She couldn't help but laugh when she saw how he could barely lift his eyelids.

He seems really tired today, he's so sleepy, but...

"Wake up." Su Chen tickled his ticklish spot, and Bai Ze immediately perked up and his eyelids no longer felt heavy.

Su Chen, on the other hand, looked smug. She lay down next to him, closed her eyes, and said, "You can sleep after I fall asleep."

Bai Ze chuckled, kissed her lips, and whispered, "Okay."
