When Su Chen opened her eyes again, she was greeted by a warm yellow light. Turning her head, she saw that Bai Ze was not beside her. She rolled over and walked around a few times before finally finding him behind a door.
Su Chen knocked lightly on the door a few times and asked, "Are you busy?"
Bai Ze turned his chair and looked at her sideways. "Hmm, investigate what those things from yesterday were."
Su Chen took a few steps forward and put her hand on his shoulder. "You found out?"
"Hmm." Bai Ze nodded, moved the chair to the side, and revealed a screen that was neither too big nor too small.
Su Chen leaned closer to look. The picture on the screen was indeed the insect she had seen last night. Below the picture were densely packed words explaining that it was called a lizard worm, and its entire body carried a paralyzing toxin. If it came into contact with the skin, it would cause paralysis within a short period of time. Although it wouldn't be fatal, being unable to move in the wild would be extremely dangerous.
"Thank goodness I didn't go down yesterday." Su Chen said with lingering fear, "I wonder if there are any other dangerous creatures on this planet? If we keep living in the spaceship like this, it doesn't seem to make much difference to just drift in space."
Bai Ze: "We can't stay in the spaceship forever. The spaceship needs to be charged, and charging can only be done in a mustard seed."
Su Chen looked distressed. "Then what should we do? Build a house outside?"
Bai Ze shook his head, "It shouldn't be necessary. I detected signs of humans a hundred miles ahead."
Su Chen's eyes lit up, and she and Bai Ze started to discuss it.
...
Space, warships.
"Xing'an, I've found out about the old general's past." Wu Yue walked up to Xing'an with a serious face, holding an electronic file.
Xing An was taken aback, "Godfather?"
Wu Yue nodded, "Exactly."
"Didn't my godfather perish together with the Zerg back then?" Could there be some hidden secret here? Xing An looked up at Wu Yue in disbelief.
"Take a look for yourself." Wu Yue handed her the document and walked away without looking back.
Xing An looked at the results document for a long time, then looked up with a dark expression.
A short while later, in Wu Yue's office.
"The intelligence is wrong!" Xing An slammed the electronic report board onto Wu Yue's desk with a sound as loud as a gavel.
"This was asked by an old man from back then, and there's evidence." Wu Yue raised her eyes and looked directly into Xing An's eyes, where she saw a surge of emotion.
"Impossible! This person could never have harmed my godfather!" Xing'an was both shocked and furious, her mind a complete mess, and she shouted it out without thinking. Luckily, the office was soundproof, otherwise there would have been an extra row of spectators in a moment.
"Xing'an, you know it's true or false, you just don't want to admit it." Wu Yue continued to gaze at her; he knew she had already believed it.
"So...you've seen this person before?" A cold glint flashed in Wu Yue's eyes. "When? When you were little, or...during the time you were missing?"
Xing An frowned. "What do you mean?"
"You suspect that I have connections with the enemies who killed my adoptive father?"
"Or do you believe that I orchestrated the murder of my godfather back then?!"
Xing An looked at Wu Yue in disbelief.
This man never trusted her from beginning to end?
"I didn't think that way." Wu Yue's eyes flashed as she turned her back.
"Heh, you didn't think that way, but you did it anyway!" Xing An's lips curled into a mocking smile. "You're the one who tampered with my spaceship, aren't you?"
Wu Yue turned around abruptly, frowning as she asked, "What kind of aircraft?"
