Chapter 246 A Night Visit to the Vampire Clan (Part 31)

Of course, it's not just about hunting...

"They've arrived?" A figure in the woods removed a curtain.

Su Chen looked at the person and smiled, saying, "You've arrived."

"Here, take this." Su Chen took out a piece of parchment from her bosom.

"You got it so quickly?" the man exclaimed in surprise.

Su Chen said calmly, "You know, Arthur is not on guard against me."

The visitor sighed.

"If he were also a vampire, who knows, you two might have been able to live happily ever after for a hundred years."

Su Chen shook her head. It was just the time it would take to complete a mission; she couldn't possibly stay for a hundred years...

The visitor asked worriedly, "What if he finds out?"

Su Chen shook her head. "There's no other way. At worst, you can just kill me."

The person grabbed her hand and pleaded, "Girl, if you get discovered, run back."

Su Chen shook her head and smiled sadly.

Then he waved his hand and said, "Let's go, I should go back. He comes to see me secretly every night."

"Then, hurry back and take care." The person put on a veil and disappeared from Su Chen's sight in a moment.

Su Chen sighed and returned to the hunter's European-style cottage.

To avoid disturbing others, she went to the window.

As soon as I entered the house, I heard a cold voice say indifferently, "I've been waiting for you for a long time."

The voice was usually very gentle, but today it sounded like it was filled with ice shards, both familiar and strange.

Su Chen's body stiffened instantly, and her raised hand fell limply. She slowly raised her head.

Arthur sat on a spring bed not far away, his white clothes standing out in the dark room. His eyes were like turbulent water with roaring waves, and his smile was chilling.

Why is he here so early today?

Arthur walked over step by step, his handsome, marble-sculpted face slightly tense, and his slender fingers lifted Su Chen's chin: "Where did you go just now?"

“I…” Su Chen’s brain was racing, trying to figure out how to make a last-ditch effort. “I didn’t eat enough last night, so I went out and hunted a few deer.”

Su Chen was very impressed with her own foresight. In fact, she was quite hungry, so she had hunted a few deer before meeting anyone.

Who would have thought that these deer would become her lifeline?!

Arthur's eyes flashed, and he said calmly, "Oh? What about the deer's carcass?"

"Um...that." She had just noticed that the man had forgotten to bring the deer back from the meeting place. It was so far away; wouldn't he become suspicious?

Never mind, saving my life is the priority!

“In the poplar grove,” Su Chen said truthfully.

Arthur looked at her, a slight upturn at the corner of his lips, his eyes unfathomable. "Oh? Then I'll have someone fetch it for you tomorrow to make a blood clot."

Su Chen forced a smile and nodded emphatically.

For some reason, she always felt that Arthur had seen through everything but didn't say anything, but if he didn't say anything, she had to keep going.

Arthur sat down, closed his eyes, and pointed to his temples. "My head hurts. Rub it for me."

Su Chen silently breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Okay."

She sat beside him and massaged his temples.

Before Su Chen was bound to the system, she always had headaches; it was a congenital neuralgia.

Her mother and grandmother both suffered from headaches, but as they grew older, their nerves gradually healed and they stopped experiencing headaches.

Whenever she was in pain at home, her mother would be there to massage her.

People say that long-term illness makes one a doctor, and Su Chen knows how to relieve headaches.

She massaged Arthur just as she remembered him.

Arthur slightly opened his eyes, his eyelashes obscuring half of them, lost in thought.
