Wu Yue: "I'm not."
Bai Ze scoffed, "Who would believe that?"
Wu Yue: "I will explain."
Bai Ze ignored him.
Su Chen, who had been silent all along, spoke up: "Let him go back."
Bai Ze raised an eyebrow in surprise that she would meddle in such trivial matters.
Bai Ze: "Who will provide me with military guidance when he goes back?"
Su Chen: "Me."
Bai Ze: "You? You're that confident?"
Su Chen nodded. Even if she lacked confidence, she had to pretend to be awesome, otherwise the main storyline between the male and female leads would not be able to develop.
Bai Ze chuckled twice, neither accepting nor objecting.
Su Chen took it as her acceptance and turned to Wu Yue, saying, "Xing An suspects that you are the enemy who killed her godfather back then."
"How is that possible!" Wu Yue seemed very agitated.
"Anyway, if you want to go back, you at least need to get Xing An to believe you first. You can figure out the specifics yourself."
Su Chen patted Wu Yue on the shoulder, thinking: I'll help you this far, male lead. How you walk the rest of the way is up to you.
Bai Ze couldn't stand the sight of Su Chen's hand on Wu Yue's shoulder, and even had the urge to chop it off.
Su Chen had no idea that the villain wanted to chop off his own claws and even wanted to pat Wu Yue's back. He just felt a chill on his back, and in his instinct for survival, he didn't manage to pat her.
After the male lead left, she turned around and saw the villain's ambiguous gaze.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Su Chen put her hands on her hips. "We haven't settled our score yet!"
"What did you do after you disappeared? Did you regain your memory? Do you know who you are? Do you know who I am? Why did you help Wu Yue? What are your plans..." Su Chen's questions came out like a machine gun.
Bai Ze listened attentively, and even poured Su Chen a glass of water after she finished asking her questions.
"I escaped when the spaceship exploded that day. I felt dizzy when I saw the explosion, as if I had seen a similar scene before. I fainted from the shock and remembered the past when I woke up."
“I used to be the leader of these orcs. The woman’s adoptive father was called… what was his name again? Anyway, I was partly responsible for that old man’s death. So it’s only right that the woman you saved seeks revenge on me.”
“Killing that old man would have brought me certain benefits, and back then I thought it was a worthwhile deal, so I went ahead with it.” Bai Ze sneered as he thought of this. “I never imagined that I would end up being used like a dog.”
Su Chen pondered for a moment and said, "So, you were driven to Lionheart by the organization that promised you certain benefits?" It all seemed to make sense now.
Bai Ze nodded, "Yes, that blond guy from Lionheart Country is probably a member of that organization too."
"Golden Retriever?" A golden retriever popped into Su Chen's mind as a large golden retriever sitting on the ground, panting with its tongue hanging out.
"That damned prince from Lionheart Kingdom?" Bai Ze almost ground his teeth to powder when he mentioned him. "He's the one who kicked me onto your spaceship back then."
Su Chen recalled the first time she met Bai Ze in this world and asked in confusion, "Why did he do that?"
"Who knows what kind of conspiracy is behind this? Maybe they don't want the people from Clover Star to seek refuge in their Lionheart Kingdom?" Bai Ze was generally too lazy to think. He believed that all conspiracies and schemes were no match for overwhelming power.
"It can't be that simple..." Su Chen suspected that the villainous boss of this world didn't have a brain.
