Su Chen thought to herself: This name is really hard to remember.
"My name is Su Chen, nice to meet you."
Tommy: "Su Chen? That's a strange name. Let's stick with Lilith from now on."
Su Chen: Your name is weird! Your whole family is weird!
But she only dared to say these things in her heart, and nodded in agreement on the surface.
Tommy seemed very happy and even pulled her into the air to play a game of soul drifting.
Su Chen was also a novice vampire who had never flown before, let alone flown this fast.
The night wind felt like knives on my face, and I couldn't open my eyes because of it.
"Girl, you'll get used to it," Tommy said with a smile, tossing her into the air a few times.
The mournful cries from the woods startled nests of birds.
Su Chen declared that she never wanted to see that grandson again, she swore.
After Tommy had played enough, they led her to fly to the castle.
The castle was huge, a Gothic building with pointed arches and a pointed roof. It was a dark, oppressive place, with a ghostly green light emanating from the windows, making it especially eerie in the night.
Su Chen followed Tommy closely as they entered the castle.
The first thing that caught her eye was a marble statue. She didn't know who it depicted, but Su Chen was certain it was a vampire because its fangs were polished to an exceptionally bright shine.
The windows were made of stained glass, and these glass panes seemed to be pieced together to form paintings that told stories, but Su Chen had no idea what they were.
"Let's go." Tommy took her hand and led her up the spiral staircase, which stretched endlessly. Su Chen looked up and saw that it seemed to have no end in sight.
The staircase was carved from marble, with exquisite gemstones placed on the handrails, and delicate candlesticks with three pure white candles hanging on the adjacent wall.
Further up, various gorgeously dressed vampire portraits began to hang on the walls.
Tommy whispered an explanation from the side, as if afraid of disturbing the people in the painting, "These are the heads of the Polidoli family throughout history. The Polidoli have always been the nobles among vampires. You must pay attention to your manners in the future and not disgrace our Polidoli family."
Su Chen nodded and continued walking up. When she looked up again, she finally saw the ceiling. A huge chandelier hung from the ceiling, with countless sparkling diamonds hanging from it, which made people gasp in amazement.
Vampires really do live a long time and don't need to eat, so they can easily accumulate so much wealth.
Tommy put his index finger to his lips to indicate, "We're here. Come inside with me and don't say anything."
Su Chen nodded, her steps becoming much lighter.
Tommy walked up to a large wooden gate and gently turned the pure gold doorknob.
“Count, Tommy Polidori has brought a new member.”
The person inside hummed in response, and Tommy then led her into the house.
Su Chen almost exclaimed in surprise as soon as she stepped onto the carpet in the room.
It's so soft!
Everything inside was luxuriously decorated, with opulent bookshelves, countless books, and a large bed covered in white fur.
On the bed, there was an exceptionally handsome man with large areas of exposed skin, and beside him he was holding a pale-skinned woman whose neck was still bleeding profusely.
Hiss... If she sees such a luxurious scene, won't she be silenced?
Su Chen became worried.
Tommy was also startled and quickly said, "The Earl is eating? We..."
The man raised his hand and beckoned, "It's nothing, come in and let me take a look."
Tommy, as instructed, led Su Chen by the hand to Count Polidori.
Only then did Su Chen get a good look at the Earl.
