Chapter 16
"What's wrong, Qiushi?"
Fuji Shusuke noticed that something was wrong with her and asked worriedly.
"No, nothing. I need to send a message to my family first to tell them I will be back later."
"It's okay Qiushi, I won't keep you too long."
"Because I made an appointment with my sister, I had to tell her."
Of course, this was just an excuse. Riie had already gone home because she was going back to the company. Meanwhile, Nakamori Akimi was quickly searching through a list of acquaintances who might still be at the school. Her bag! Could someone help her pick it up?
At this moment, someone suddenly sent her a message.
[President: I've found your backpack. Someone will deliver it to your home later.]
[Nakamori Akimi: Thank you, President! May the good people live in peace! (See Dawang.jpg)]
"Alright, Fuji-san, let's go."
With his major concern resolved, he began to look at the people in front of him with a little more favor. Nakamori Akimi waved his hand, signaling him to follow.
Hearing Nakamori Akimi's distant address, a dark light flashed in Fuji Shusuke's eyes, and he followed her with his gaze, following closely behind her.
They went to a popular dessert shop near Bingdi, which was crowded and lively, so they could avoid some unnecessary trouble.
"Want something to eat? The mango mousse here is very popular, and the Black Forest is also good."
Nakamori Akimi looked at the various desserts on the dessert menu and recommended them sincerely.
"Qiu Shi, when did you start liking desserts? Didn't you say they're too high in calories and will make you fat?"
Hearing Nakamori Akimi order a lot of things that "she" would not eat before, Fuji Shusuke frowned in confusion.
Is Tsukishima Sakuramu so self-disciplined?
Nakamori Akimi paused as he announced his name. "Well, people always change. I'm not pursuing those things right now. Being happy is the most important thing."
"But there are always some people who never change." Fuji Shusuke said in a low voice, his eyes slightly open, with hidden meaning in his words.
But the next second, he smiled again, stopped her from taking out the money, and helped her pay the bill, "Let me do it."
Well, even though she had so much pocket money now that she had no idea where to spend it, she wouldn't refuse since someone else was paying. As for his words, Nakamori Akimi pretended not to hear them.
"Then I won't be polite."
After completing the order, Nakamori Akimi found a seat and sat down with Fuji Shusuke.
"Fuji-san, since you've come to see me, I guess you already know the truth."
Nakamori Akimi didn't beat around the bush and went straight to the point.
"Yes." Fuji Shusuke looked at her and smiled bitterly, "You don't seem surprised at all."
"Do you remember the gift I gave you?"
"Are you talking about this?" Fuji Shusuke took out a small bottle from his bag. The silver-blue liquid inside was flashing beautiful ripples under the warm lights of the dessert shop.
So it was this thing. It turns out that beautiful things are poisonous. I didn’t expect that such a beautiful thing is the culprit of everything.
"This is the last scene in my memory. You gave it to me back then, saying it was proof of our love." Fuji Shusuke held it tightly, his eyes gradually tinged with sinister intent as he looked at Nakamori Akimi. "You smiled so gently back then, I thought we were in love, but why was it all fake in the end! Games, strategy guides, you have no feelings for me at all!"
Oh no, this guy is going crazy again!
"Do you think everything is fake?" Nakamori Akimi frowned, trying to look sad. "Why do you think you remember everything?"
"What?"
Stunned, bewildered, and overwhelmed, his emotions surged into his heart. His transformation into a dark power was forced to stop, and the haze in Fuji Shusuke's eyes was washed away.
And Akimi Nakamori began her performance.
"If it weren't for me, you wouldn't remember any of this. Do you know how much effort I put into getting this potion that can preserve your memory? You don't know anything at all. You can't see my efforts, you can't see my sincerity. You only believe what you believe, Fuji Shusuke, you don't love me at all!"
After all this, Nakamori Akimi didn't know what she was saying, but her acting was so realistic that tears fell as soon as she said they would. The accusing expression and tone really made Fuji Shusuke feel a little guilty.
"Hello, here's the cake you ordered."
Just then, the staff brought in the cake that Nakamori Akimi had ordered. While she was serving the cake, Fuji Shusuke tried to hold back, but couldn't help it. A dry voice came out of his throat, "Akimi, are you serious? Have you really done so much for me? But what about Atobe? Your target this time... is him, right? That's why you ran for secretary to the student council president, right?"
Where did he get the information? Couldn't she be diligent and motivated?
"Atobe? He's just an excuse for me to see you. You know this place is... If I don't set a new goal, there's no way I can come back. I've given so much for you, but in the end, all I get is your accusations. You have no heart at all!"
Nakamori Akimi choked up as she spoke these words, looking quite miserable. After all, she had little experience in love, and Fuji Shusuke, seeing her expression, had already largely believed her.
"Then why were you so cold when you saw me just now?"
His expression had completely softened, and he seemed to have been fooled by her.
"That's because..."
Nakamori Akimi paused and looked at the staff member who was serving the food at a snail's pace. Although the staff member who was serving the food was looking straight ahead and smiling, her speed was obviously a bit deliberate.
"Your meal has been served. Enjoy your meal."
Perhaps noticing Nakamori Akimi's gaze, the man quickly arranged all the desserts and left with a smile.
Sister, you have the ability to remain calm even when facing a huge crisis. You will definitely hear all the gossip you want to hear!
"Why?"
Fuji Shusuke didn't care about other people's eyes, he was eager to get an answer.
Because I don't like you, you love-brained bastard...
"Do you know what it means to be homesick?" Nakamori Akimi clasped her hands together in front of her chest, looking at him with tears in her eyes. "Maybe it's only been a few days since we last met, but I haven't seen you for a whole...year. You have no idea how I've managed to get through all of that!"
"Akimi..." All the remaining doubts in Fuji Shusuke's mind disappeared. Now his eyes were full of heartache for Nakamori Akimi, "I'm sorry, Akimi, I was wrong. I shouldn't have doubted your feelings for me."
He stood up and tried to approach her, but was stopped by Nakamori Akimi, "Don't come over here. What's the point of apologizing now? You've already broken my heart!"
Nakamori Akimi stood up and glanced at the dessert on the table with great reluctance. It was a good deal for him!
"Zhou Zhu," no, that's a bit pretentious, "I know you must be feeling as bad as I am right now, but I can't comfort you right now because I'm not in a good mood either. But these desserts will take my place. I'll be leaving first."
Nakamori Akimi's gaze quickly swept across Fuji Shusuke's face, and he turned and was about to leave.
"Qiushi!"
"Don't catch up!" Seeing Fuji Shusuke about to step forward, Nakamori Akimi shouted in pain, her back looking desolate and resolute, "I need time to adjust my mood. Let's not meet for the time being, let's calm down!"
After saying that, she left quickly. Behind her, Fuji Shusuke looked at her leaving figure with a sad face, unwilling to move for a long time.
"Hello, sir. Would you like to continue dining? There are guests here who would like to share a table with you. Do you mind?"
The miserable and sad breakup scene was interrupted by the guests who shared the table with him, and Fuji Shusuke finally woke up from the miserable background noise.
"No, help me pack."
He left in a daze, leaving behind a group of dazed audiences.
The people who watched the melodrama nearby said: It turns out that TV is based on reality. They will never say that TV is melodramatic again, because they have just seen something even more melodramatic.
"What a triangular drama! Atobe is such a poor man."
The girl at the table next to Nakamori Akimi expressed her sincere emotion.
"No wonder Atobe chose her between me and Nakamori-san. I didn't expect that she and Atobe had such a secret relationship."
The boy opposite her pushed up his glasses and suddenly realized something.
"Isn't it because you're too pretentious?"
The girl exposed him mercilessly.
"Don't say that, Akiko. I've been a secretary to Atobe for so many years. Even if I haven't made any contributions, I've worked hard. Who knew that Atobe would forget his loyalty and kick me for the sake of beauty? Hey—"
He gave a mock sigh.
"Come on, didn't Nakamori-san just say that she and Atobe have nothing to do with each other. This is all just Fuji-san's imagination."
"Who knows?"
He shrugged and looked out the window.
Not long ago, a very familiar-looking car stayed here for a long time and only left after Akimi Nakamori left.
Whether they are related or not, I am afraid only the two of them know.
