What to Do When the World is Assimilated by an Otome Game [Prince of Tennis]

When you fall asleep in class and wake up to find the world has been assimilated into an otome game, what do you do?

Save the world? Nakamori Akimi silently crosses that option out. She just wants to save her sister, who has become a wicked background character.

But the plot takes 18 twists and turns: the capture targets simultaneously awaken their memories from previous playthroughs, and after suffering extreme love suicides, the player of this otome game runs away!

Nakamori Akimi is tragically forced to become the player's stand-in, turning into the sobering antidote for many out-of-character (OOC) capture targets. Facing these progressively OOC and uniquely tormented individuals, Nakamori Akimi begins her grand acting performance.

You ask her why she "poisoned" Fuji Syusuke? Nakamori Akimi, shedding tears, explains, "I just love you too much, Syusuke. As long as you drink it, we'll be together forever!"

You ask her why she risked her life to drink Inui's juice? To restore Shiraishi Kuranosuke to normal, Nakamori Akimi, in a moment of lucidity, declared, "Kuranosuke Shiraishi, you must drink it, or I won't rest in peace!"

In short, she goes to great lengths, even to the point of madness, to make these people return to normal. Yet, the game also has a main quest to capture Atobe Keigo, with thrice-daily choices often leading to public embarrassment for her. But...

"Choose C, go to the amusement park." Atobe Keigo helps her make the choice; he's the first one to return to normal. For the others, they are accomplices.

So... "Atobe, don't you think the current atmosphere is perfect for... something?" The flickering lights burn brightly in her eyes. The person opposite her is silent for a moment, then lets out a low chuckle.
