Chapter 5
"Have you heard that Tsukishima Sakuramu was blocked by people from Seigaku at the school gate?"
"Sei Gakuen? The one with the really ugly uniform? How did Tsukishima Sakuramu get involved with that kind of poor person?"
The students from Group A were gossiping enthusiastically while passing by, while Nakamori Akimi, who was on duty, was quietly wiping the blackboard.
This was the first time in her life that she heard someone around her say the word "poor". In the past, she had only seen it in exaggerated novels or TV dramas.
"Really? What era is this? Are you guys from the royal family? You're just paupers..." The poor man grumbled, pouting, "Seigaku is a private school after all. You can't call them poor just because their uniforms are ugly."
"Nakamori, I'm done here. Could you please take out the trash? I want to see what Seigaku is doing here."
The girl on duty with her obviously heard the conversation outside, and quickly finished mopping the floor and prepared to leave to watch the gossip.
"Huh? Wait—"
Before Nakamori Akishima could finish her words, the person ran out of the classroom. It was obvious that she really loved gossip.
"I want to go too..." Nakamori Akishinori shed tears silently, "Hyotei is designed to be such an aristocratic academy, why does it still require a thorough cleaning? Can't they just hire a cleaner? Why do these young masters and young ladies have to do it themselves? It's so unreasonable!"
But the reality was like this, and there was nothing Nakamori Akimi could do. He had to put down the eraser and pick up the trash bag. "I wonder if there will be anything else to watch after I finish throwing out the trash. This Tsukishima Sakuramu is amazing. Wasn't she from Rikkai University? It's fine that she transferred to Hyotei, but why is she involved with Seigaku now?"
As soon as Nakamori Akimi walked down the stairs, he saw a group of people hurrying towards the school gate. He knew exactly what they were going to do. Sure enough, no matter what world they were in, everyone loved gossip.
"Damn it, I really want to see it!"
"Hmm? What do you want to see?"
A high-pitched ending note came from behind him, and Mori Akimi knew who it was as soon as he heard the familiar voice.
"President Atobe."
Turn around and smile, all in one go.
"Why, do you want to watch the fun too?"
Seeing Atobe Keigo so carefree, it's not right. Didn't they say Tsukishima Sakuramu was stuck in traffic? Why isn't he worried at all?
"How could that be? I'm just worried about Tsukishima-san. After all, her foot is still injured."
It's strange that Keigo Atobe didn't seize the rare opportunity to show his affection. These days, Tsukishima Sakuramu went back alone.
"Hmph, pointless worry. Ying Meng is not that fragile porcelain doll. I don't even care about your mere words."
Fuji? Is he the one who blocked Tsukishima Sakumu? Do they know each other?
Nakamori Akimi was still thinking when he heard Atobe Keigo snap his fingers, "Karachi."
Um?
A hand suddenly appeared in front of him. Nakamori Akimi was stunned and subconsciously looked at Atobe Keigo, but saw him hugging his arms and looking towards the school gate.
Oh, man...
Nakamori Akimi rolled his eyes at him in his heart, and noticed that Karaichi's eyes were fixed on the garbage bag in her hand, so he tentatively handed the bag to him.
“usu.”
He nodded slightly and walked towards the garbage dump with the bag.
So, do I really have to help her take out the trash?
Nakamori Akimi looked at his back with emotion, waving his hand in thanks, "Thank you very much, Karaichi-san!"
"Let's go."
Atobe Keigo took the lead, and Nakamori Akimi, who had somehow understood what he meant, immediately followed him. As they approached the school gate, they saw a large crowd gathered there. In the center of the crowd, the two protagonists were arguing with each other.
Wow, what a beautiful boy——
Noticing the face of the Qingxue student, Nakamori Akimi was immediately amazed. But then she looked at Atobe Keigo and felt that someone was a little green on the top of his head.
"Ah, well, Fuji, what are you doing with Hyotei students at the Hyotei school gate?"
In the blink of an eye, Atobe Keigo protected Tsukishima Sakumu behind him and confronted Fuji Shusuke with a stern face.
The people around him were obviously more excited when they saw Keigo Atobe joining in this bloody tug-of-war.
Here it comes, the classic Shura scene is coming!
"Atobe?" Fuji Shusuke's originally calm expression suddenly became sharp, and his ice-blue eyes looked at him mockingly.
I thought he was a gentle type, but I didn't expect him to be so strong.
Nakamori Akimi quietly blended into the crowd of onlookers. After his gaze moved around him, it moved to Tsukishima Sakuramu.
Why does she look so shocked?
"Zhou...Buer, please don't be like this. Can we talk somewhere else?"
Tsukishima Sakuramu anxiously broke free from Atobe Keigo's hand and tried to pull Fuji Shusuke away, but his wrist was grabbed by her and she met his cold eyes.
"Fuji? Ha, Tsukishima Sakuramu, you can be so panicked sometimes." Fuji Shusuke was obviously irritated by Tsukishima Sakuramu's distant address, and his tone became more sharp, "Is it because of Atobe? Are you afraid of yourself..."
"That's enough, Fuji Shusuke!"
As if afraid of having her secret exposed, Tsukishima Sakuramu shouted loudly, covering up Fuji Shusuke's voice in time.
"You're scared." Fuji Shusuke suddenly retracted all his sharpness, his eyes curved into a soft arc, "Don't be afraid, Ying Meng, this is our secret, I won't tell anyone else."
What a dank male ghost that shines into reality. But compared to this, Nakamori Akimi is more concerned about the secret he is talking about. Not only her, but also the onlookers beside her are also whetted their appetites.
Nakamori Akimi had a hunch that this so-called secret was definitely related to this abnormal world, but unfortunately Fuji Shusuke just wouldn't tell him!
"Now we can talk. Come on, Sakuramu."
Just as Fuji Shusuke was about to leave with Tsukishima Sakuramu, Atobe Keigo, who had been silent for a long time, suddenly interrupted.
"Wait! Ying Meng, are you sure you want to go with him?"
"Keigo..."
Tsukishima Sakuramu paused, a little hesitant, but the next second she took the initiative to pull Fuji Shusuke away, leaving only a sentence:
"I'm sorry Keigo, I'll explain it to you later."
Wow!
Nakamori Akimi shook her head and sighed. This scene would definitely be on the front page of tomorrow's school newspaper. She'd even thought of the headline: Campus Goddess Rekindles Old Love, Ice Emperor Hurt by Love. She was still a little too literary. Who knew what explosive headline the news department would come up with? Who knew sales would skyrocket this time?
"Nakamori."
Just as Nakamori Akimi was lost in thought, she suddenly heard Keigo Atobe calling her. She shuddered and looked over, confused.
"Let's go. The student union still has some unfinished business."
Your sweetheart ran off with someone, and you're still going to the student union to deal with things? If she guessed correctly, Atobe Keigo, you're the boss here! Shouldn't you be chasing after him and asserting your sovereignty over that Fuji from Seigaku? And you're here conscripting men to serve the public? What kind of slaves are you, working so hard?
Nakamori Akimi was shocked and tried to refuse Atobe Keigo's invitation to be a cowherd.
"Um, President, am I done with my work?"
It's time to go to work now, okay?! Do they know each other well? Even if Atobe Keigo is handsome, she doesn't want to waste time in the student council. She has the mission of saving Rie!
"Um?"
Atobe Keigo raised an eyebrow at her, and the students around him all turned to look at her. Under this invisible pressure, Nakamori Akimi tried to smile, "I forgot, I forgot a form. Let's go, President?"
Atobe Keigo hummed with satisfaction and raised his chin to signal Nakamori Akimi to follow him.
Then Nakamori Akimi sat in the seat reserved for her student council president's secretary and began to daydream, while Atobe Keigo, who was sitting across the wall from her, was correcting documents.
I really don't understand where Hyotei got so many documents to approve, and I don't understand why Atobe Keigo wants her to follow him.
"Could it be that Huadi is away and we're short of someone to serve tea and water?"
Nakamori Akimi just made a random guess, but she didn't expect that she would get it right.
"Nakamori, make some coffee and come in."
Through the intercom, Keigo Atobe gave her direct instructions.
Let me say it again, she is the student council president's secretary, not Keigo Atobe's personal secretary. If it weren't for Riie, she would have quit him sooner or later!
Nakamori Akimi gritted his teeth, but resigned himself to his fate and went to the tea room.
"You're so young, drinking so much coffee, be careful not to sleep and become bald."
Suddenly remembering Keigo Atobe's crew cut in his junior year of junior high school, Nakamori Akimi shut up silently. She had to admit that even being bald didn't affect Keigo Atobe's beauty at all.
The coffee brews quickly, and as for how it tastes, that has nothing to do with her.
Nakamori Akimi filled the coffee and was about to pass it to Atobe Keigo when he glanced and saw a bottle of green healthy drink - bitter melon juice.
"Drinking too much coffee is not good for you. President Atobe works so hard for Hyotei every day. I should think more about his health."
Speaking of high-sounding reasons, it seemed that he could suppress the guilt in his heart. Nakamori Akimi steadily poured the bitter melon juice into the coffee that was said to be brewed with very expensive coffee beans.
This is not revenge, it's all about health!
"President, your coffee."
Keigo Atobe stared at the computer, and very naturally picked up the coffee that Akihiro Nakamori had placed on the table, put it to his lips and took a sip.
A strange silence spread, and the office was so quiet that one could hear breathing.
Did you taste it or not? The bitterness of bitter melon is not on the same level as coffee.
Nakamori Akimi carefully observed Atobe Keigo who was still drinking coffee. She had prepared a lot of explanations to fool him, and if she didn't ask him, he would forget all the professional terms.
After a few minutes, Keigo Atobe's eyes finally moved away from the pile of complicated text. His gaze fell on the coffee liquid that was close at hand. His hands holding the handle of the cup were clenched pale, and his expression cracked for a moment, but he soon returned to his normal state.
"Hmm? Bitter melon?"
!!!
I actually tasted bitter melon!
