Chapter 6

Chapter 6

"You put bitter melon juice in it, didn't you?"

Atobe Keigo put down the cup of coffee with something mixed in it with a calm expression, placed his left hand on the table, tapping his fingertips rhythmically, his tone very firm.

Nakamori Akimi, who had been trying to trick Atobe Keigo into believing it was a new way to drink, broke out in a cold sweat. He seemed too smart to be fooled.

"What is this, a joke?"

Atobe Keigo's eyes were more oppressive than before, filled with a kind of anger of being fooled.

"Will... be the president?"

Atobe Keigo was not in a good state. The anger he expressed did not seem to be directed at her. But in this anger, Nakamori Akimi still swallowed nervously.

She had originally thought that if the plan failed, it would be a bug, but now in this atmosphere she couldn't bring herself to say it.

"Sorry, I lost my composure." Atobe Keigo brushed his hair back and surprisingly regained his composure. "Come to think of it, I also want to thank Nakamori for the bitter melon juice."

"What?"

He must have gone crazy because of the suffering. How could he still be grateful to her?

"Because your bitter melon juice reminded me of something about Tsukishima Sakuramu."

"Well, um, President, I'm actually..." I'm not interested in your love story.

It's nothing more than childhood sweethearts, nothing nice to say.

Completely ignoring Nakamori Akimi's attempt to interrupt him, Atobe Keigo continued on his own, "You may have heard that Tsukishima Sakuramu and I grew up together, but the truth is, I didn't even know her before she transferred to Hyotei."

"ha?"

Now Nakamori Akimi was completely shocked. She looked up and down, left and right at Atobe Keigo, with an astonishing light in her eyes.

"President, you... could it be..." She covered her mouth in disbelief and tested it cautiously, fearing that she would be suddenly controlled and changed the subject like Atobe Keigo and Oshitari Yuushi.

"Yes." Atobe Keigo leaned back in his chair, supporting his face with one hand. "After drinking the coffee, I realized that a lot of my memories had been tampered with, and I had done a lot of unglamorous things."

"So you're back to normal now? Because of the bitter melon juice?"

Nakamori Akimi was extremely excited. As long as Atobe Keigo returned to normal and kept his distance from Tsukishima Sakuramu, Rie would not have to compete to be the vicious female supporting role to Tsukishima Sakuramu!

"Don't be too happy too soon, I'm just temporarily normal."

Atobe Keigo poured a basin of cold water on him without mercy.

"Temporarily? What do you mean?"

"Just now, a guy who calls himself the System came to me. He turned the bitter melon into a sobering potion and used you to sober me up, but the effect is only 24 hours."

"There actually is a system!" Nakamori Akimi exclaimed, her eyes fixed on Atobe Keigo with envy and hatred. Was this the Chosen One? The system had actually chosen someone who was only temporarily lucid, instead of someone perfectly normal like her. Damn it! Her resentment at this made her successfully ignore the 24-hour time limit.

"Do you know the system?"

Atobe Keigo looked at him suspiciously, seemingly thinking in the direction of conspiracy theories. In order not to lose such a powerful ally, Nakamori Akimi had no choice but to instill some knowledge of systems and systems literature into him.

“It’s so unglamorous.”

Listening to these things that were so mysterious that they were almost fantasy, Atobe Keigo slowly frowned.

"Don't worry about how fancy it is at this point. What's important is whether your system tells you how to restore the world to normal."

Although her hobby was severely despised, Nakamori Akihime now only wanted the world to return to normal, so she didn't care.

"...Do the mission. Complete the task it specifies and you'll be back to normal."

Nakamori Akimi, who was in an excited state, did not notice that Atobe Keigo's expression was unnatural for a moment.

"That makes sense. This is how most system files are set up. So, does it issue any tasks now? How many tasks are there in total? Are there any time limits? Are there any rewards or penalties?"

Nakamori Akimi, who knew the system well, immediately asked a series of questions, and then looked expectantly at the only person who knew the truth.

"You have too many questions."

Having just received a large amount of information, Keigo Atobe felt like his head was about to explode when he heard this series of questions. Veins on his forehead were throbbing and he felt like his head was about to explode.

"Tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, a car will pick you up. I will tell you everything then." Atobe Keigo returned his gaze to the computer. "You can leave now."

"Pick me up? No way!"

Nakamori Akimi was scared when he thought about how obsessed Rie was with Atobe Keigo. It would be bad if Rie saw it and caused misunderstanding. After all, this is a bloody world full of thunder and lightning!

"President, give me the address and I'll go there myself."

"Hmm?" Atobe Keigo raised an eyebrow at her, paused for a few seconds but did not refuse, "Whatever you want, but I must see you before three o'clock in the afternoon."

"Don't worry, I won't be late!"

Nakamori Akimi made a solemn promise and took a taxi the next afternoon without hesitation. She had the money now, so if she didn't spend it now, when would she?

"Miss, the area ahead is private. Taxis like ours can't enter. I'd like you to get out and walk."

The taxi driver drove here according to the address, but the huge sign in front forced him to temporarily turn off the engine and "drive" the wealthy passenger off.

Nakamori Akimi, who was driven down, looked at the long corridor in front of him, thinking of the yet to be seen Atobe Buckingham Palace, and silently pinched his philtrum.

It was the end of April and the weather was still cool, but if she continued walking along this seemingly endless road, she would probably be soaked in sweat by the time she got there, and by then she would have lost all her face and dignity.

She was overestimating her own abilities. She had a perfectly good private car but chose to pay for a taxi, and even then, she couldn't even get to her destination directly. With such a large area in Tokyo, where every inch of land is valuable, she truly lived up to her name.

Filled with despair, Nakamori Akimi had already begun to compliment Tezuka in a delirious state, and tried to use this compliment to alleviate the shame of wanting to call for help.

"Is this Miss Nakamori Akimi?"

Just as Nakamori Akimi had turned on her cell phone and was about to click on the pinned number starting with A, someone called out her name.

It was a sudden, unannounced sound. A kind, middle-aged man appeared before her, a car parked nearby. When had he arrived, and how had she not noticed? This silent appearance, could it be... a ninjutsu?!

"Yes, I'm Nakamori Akimi, and you are?"

Thinking of a certain possibility, Nakamori Akimi immediately suppressed those strange thoughts and stared at him with eyes full of desire.

"I'm Akita. Master Atobe sent me to pick you up. If you're worried, Miss Nakamori can call Master to confirm."

At the same time, Nakamori Akimi received a text message on his mobile phone.

[President (normal version): Follow Akita.]

Even his concise words couldn't hide his handsomeness. He was indeed here to pick her up. What a good man, President Atobe!

"The president sent me a message, so let's go, Mr. Akita."

So Nakamori Akimi was sent to the Buckingham Palace by Akita. She was shocked when she saw it from inside the car. After getting off the car, her understanding of the chaebol was completely refreshed.

“It’s really spectacular…”

She had heard that the place where Keigo Atobe lived was the same as Buckingham Palace, but this was the first time she saw it with her own eyes, which was truly eye-opening.

"Ms. Nakamori, someone will take you to find the young master. I'll take my leave now."

"Okay, thank you."

Nakamori Akimi smiled and watched Akita leave, and soon a maid appeared to lead the way.

"I'm sorry, Miss Nakamori, the young master is meeting a guest. Please sit in the study for a while."

The maid took her to the study, brought her tea and pastries, and left, leaving Nakamori Akimi alone, looking around curiously.

What a big study room with so many books.

Nakamori Akimi's eyes swept across those big and thick books. They were all original foreign books that he didn't recognize. They were the kind that would make him dizzy after just a few glances.

Not knowing who Atobe Keigo was meeting, Nakamori Akimi, who was bored waiting, had almost finished eating everything on the table. Suddenly, she received another message from Atobe Keigo.

[President (Normal Version): The black folder in the second drawer on the right side of the desk contains all the information the system told me. Take it out and read it.]

He seemed to be being held back by someone, so Nakamori Akimi had to follow his instructions to find the folder.

"Otome strategy game?"

Looking at the bold, red words on the first page, Nakamori Akimi had a feeling that this was exactly what she expected. She had said that the number above Tsukishima Sakuramu's head was strange, and it turned out to be a strategy value.

She flipped through the pages again. In addition to the information provided by the system, there was also information about Tsukishima Sakuramu and the starting lineup of the men's tennis teams of four tennis high schools, with many handwritten comments next to them.

"No wonder he asked me to come to him today. The information he compiled is too detailed."

When he thought about how Keigo Atobe had to sort out all this after finishing his work at the Student Union and the Atobe Group, Akimi Nakamori couldn't help but shed tears of shame.

"With only 24 hours of wakefulness, President Atobe manages to accomplish so much. He's truly an incredibly efficient person."

After speaking of some forgotten things with emotion, Nakamori Akimi was stunned and subconsciously lowered her head to turn the page. The bitter melon juice with a 24-hour validity period must be seen by her and drunk by Keigo Atobe in person to be effective. It is now four o'clock in the afternoon, and there is less than half an hour left before the sobering agent expires!

It's over! Nakamori Akimi didn't care about anything else and rushed to the door and opened it.

After a few "bang" and "pop" sounds, Nakamori Akimi inside the door and Atobe Keigo outside the door looked at each other in surprise.

"Naka! Mori! Akimi!"

The cup was knocked over by the sudden impact, and the bitter melon juice splashed all over Atobe Keigo, who gritted his teeth and shouted the name of the culprit.
