Chapter 33 One More Look and I'll Explode

"What if there's danger?"

Liu Shasha looked at Terramil's robes and said, "Excuse me, Great Wizard, you are old after all. If someone wants to harm you, he doesn't even need to use weapons."

"I know." Telami nodded calmly, "Ansheng, come with me."

After saying that, he turned around and walked down the slope, leaving no room for Liu Shasha to stop him.

An Sheng trotted after them and pointed behind Liu Shasha, "Don't follow us, your friend is here to see you."

When Liu Shasha heard this, she looked back and saw Elena leaning half of her body out of a jeep and waving at her.

After stopping the car, Alina jumped out and ran to give Liu Shasha a hug. The others passed the two and chased after Terramil.

"Where have you been all this time? I'm worried about you."

"It was Ansheng who saved me. Later, I didn't show up for so long because I wanted to avoid being tracked."

Liu Shasha lied, a lie she had conspired with Ansheng on the way here. They planned to shift the blame for the attack on the UN building and the kidnapping of the Secretary-General onto the extremists who had previously attacked the gas station in Xinjianuo District.

Out of trust in Ansheng and Terramil, Liu Shasha cleared Ansheng of suspicion in just a few words.

"Let's put that aside for now. How have you been these days? I heard you're now the acting secretary general. How's that going? Are you interested in becoming the full secretary?"

Liu Shasha laughed and changed the subject.

"Go to hell." Elena punched her on the shoulder. "You stay up late writing documents at night, and have to face the ugly faces of those politicians during the day. I don't know how you managed to hold on."

"Practice makes perfect." Liu Shasha was speechless.

"Let's go now and see what they are doing."

As Elina spoke, she pulled her arm and rushed in the direction where Karamiel and the others were going.

When they arrived, they found that Terramir seemed to be giving a speech. He had changed his usual mysterious and steady demeanor, and his words were full of passion and infectiousness.

There was already a circle of people around him. Most of them were refugees from neighboring countries who came to the United States of Acre and were waiting to board the plane.

The refugees formed a circle around Tryndamere and Anson, as if they were guarding something great and sacred. Their emotions fluctuated with Tryndamere's speech, and at the end of the speech, after Tryndamere finished his last word, the whole audience erupted in thunderous applause.

Liu Shasha and Alina, who had just arrived, were bewildered. They hadn't figured out what was going on, let alone how this old man had managed to gather so many followers in just over half an hour. They looked at Trinis, the spokesperson for President Ake's office, whose expression was unpleasant. They then turned their attention to Andrew, who was standing nearby.

Andrew spread his hands and made a face that said, "Don't ask me." Terramil's speech wasn't in Ark, but in a third-world language popular in neighboring countries. Among the Ark bureaucrats present, no one except Trinis and his followers could understand it.

"What did he say?" Liu Shasha slowly moved over and gently touched Ansheng's shoulder.

"A great ideal." Ansheng's tone was full of reverence, and the way he looked at Tryndamere was like a fanatical believer staring at a statue in a church.

"You know what? No one in the Linman Islands would ever think about this. Only the Great Wizard of Eskaret would care about the future of the country and its people."

"What is he going to do?" Liu Shasha asked.

"The Great Wizard demands that the President of the United States send his country's warships to the Southern Hemisphere to pick up those poor people who have been abandoned by them and grant them the same evacuation rights as his own citizens."

"That's impossible." Liu Shasha thought calmly. "As a collective of citizens, a country's actions must be subject to its own interests, and interests cannot be measured by human nature."

"Your theories are interesting, and in most cases they are correct." Telamiel turned and looked at her with a smile, "So I prepared some bargaining chips for negotiation."

"Bargain?" Liu Shasha was curious. She didn't think the Linman Islands had anything the Acre United States would value, unless they had a large gold reserve. But that was impossible. After years of war, the place was completely impoverished. Forget gold; anything even remotely related to modern civilization was in short supply there.

Even the cruise ship Liu Shasha and her friends took to Ake this time was actually rented from another island. The cruise ships from other islands were mostly discarded goods from private companies in the north. These junks, due to various issues, were unpopular on the secondhand market, and the cost of dismantling them was exorbitant, so they were ultimately sold at low prices to the southern islands.

"Do you want to know what the Great Witch's bargaining chip is?" An Sheng suddenly asked, and Liu Shasha nodded almost subconsciously.

"Follow me." An Sheng waved at her and turned to walk up the slope they came from.

Liu Shasha looked at her and then at Tryndamere. She thought that with so many people watching nearby and the people around him worshipping him like a god, nothing would probably happen to the old man Tryndamere, so she hurriedly followed.

The two walked back side by side, with Elena following behind them. They reached the same high point they had come from. From this distance, it was hard to tell who was standing in the crowd. Only Terramil, standing in a white robe, stood out like a crane among the gray people sitting on the ground.

Seeing An Sheng stop, Liu Shasha thought he was finally about to speak. But then she saw the crowd in the distance suddenly erupt in a commotion. Telramir had unknowingly taken off his large robe and tossed it up, letting it drift in the wind. Immediately, many of Telramir's followers jumped up and chased after the robe, waving their arms in the air, trying to grab it.

The reactions of Trinis and others were even stranger. The moment they saw Tryndamere taking off his robe, Trinis was suddenly pressed to the ground by the people around him.

All this was done in a flash, so much so that people outside had no idea what was going on.

Just as Liu Shasha was about to ask, she heard a loud bang.

A huge fireball exploded in the crowd, and the center of the explosion was where Telamir had just been giving a speech.
