She rummaged through drawers at home looking for clothes, took a shower, sprayed perfume, picked out red wine, had her bodyguard order food, and bought flowers at the corner flower shop. After all that, she finally set off for Lin Xiao's apartment.
Lin Xiao obediently waited at home. Yang Xile noticed that her hair was slightly damp, and knew that she had just taken a shower.
It seemed Lin Xiao wasn't entirely indifferent to him! This discovery thrilled Yang Xile. But not wanting to be as rash as last time, scaring Lin Xiao into trembling and crying, he decided to first create a romantic atmosphere.
He put the flowers in the vase, poured the red wine, spread out the pizza, and then carried Lin Xiao to the table.
Lin Xiao didn't resist his sudden lift and was led to the table. Two kinds of pizza were already cut on the table. Yang Xile asked, "Xiao Xiao, which one do you like?"
"Either is fine," Lin Xiao replied. Yang Xile casually picked out a slice of pizza and handed it to her, then handed her a glass of red wine. Just as Lin Xiao took the wine and pizza, the doorbell rang.
Yang Xile frowned, and Lin Xiao asked, "Didn't you send the bodyguard back? Or did he forget something to tell you?"
"Who knows! What could be wrong that you can't just call and have to come back to me?" Yang Xile was very annoyed by the doorbell that ruined the atmosphere.
He strode to the door, glanced at the security camera, and froze.
In the surveillance footage, a tall, thin man, soaked to the bone by the heavy rain, stood quietly downstairs.
Seeing Yang Xile standing there in a daze, Lin Xiao had a feeling that something was wrong. She quickly ran to the door, and sure enough! On the monitor screen at the door, she saw Wei Changfeng, soaking wet, standing in the rain like a statue.
The wine glass in Lin Xiao's hand instantly fell to the ground, and she bent over, curled up, and cried.
