Chapter 95 Crisis Appears

In the afternoon, Yang Xile was called from home to the company.

He heard that the famous star Wei Changfeng had just visited that morning, and said regretfully, "Why didn't anyone tell me? I also wanted to see the star in person."

The junior employee who was still working overtime laughed at his expression: "Young Master Yang is a fan of celebrities? That's easy. You can invite them to perform at your house. Unlike us, we get so excited when we see celebrities, because we don't usually have the chance to meet them."

Yang Xile knew that, apart from a few individuals, probably no one in the company knew about his second sister's absurd attempt to use public funds to woo a handsome man.

Yang Kai, the father, must have felt ashamed too, but why did he still call Wei Changfeng to the company? He couldn't figure it out for a moment, so he just asked the people around him, "Hey, you all saw him in person? What do you think? Is he the same as on TV?"

The junior employees got excited: "There weren't many people in the company today, so we all saw it, and we saw it very clearly! If Secretary Zhai hadn't come to kick us out, we would have liked to watch even more."

Another added, "No, no, he's much more handsome in person than on TV!"

"Yeah, yeah! He's handsome on TV, but he's even more handsome in person! I always heard there's a gap between celebrities and ordinary people, and it's really true." Everyone chimed in excitedly.

Yang Xile pursed her lips: "Huh, it's not that exaggerated. I've seen a lot of celebrities, they're just a little prettier than the average person."

He had indeed met many celebrities and internet influencers, especially female celebrities and female internet influencers. Many of them would immediately try to throw themselves at him upon hearing his identity, so he had never looked down on these people.

"Young Master Yang, it's true! It's a pity you missed it. If you had seen it, you would have thought so too. Wei Changfeng is so thin, tall, and fair-skinned. His skin looks like it has no pores, as if it has been rubbed smooth."

Yang Xile burst out laughing: "Well, this is getting scarier and scarier! Is it like the wax figures in a wax museum?"

"No, no," a young female employee quickly explained, "Oh, I don't know how to describe it, anyway, anyway..."

A middle-aged woman from the legal department walked over and chimed in: "The real person is like they're surrounded by a halo, making them stand out in a crowd. When they sit in front of you, you feel embarrassed to look them directly in the eye, yet you can't help but keep looking at them."

Upon hearing this, Yang Xile thought to himself: Well, it seems that Wei Changfeng is quite the ladies' man, charming people of all ages! No wonder he's so infatuated with his second sister.

The eldest sister's words resonated with many of the girls present, who exclaimed in unison, "Yes, yes, that's exactly it!" Someone else asked, "Sister Xu, we saw him go into the conference room just now, and people from the legal department and finance department went in too. Does he have a business partnership with our company?"

Before Sister Xu could answer, another girl interrupted, "Oh, are you going to get Wei Changfeng to be our spokesperson? Our company manufactures steel for export. We've never had a celebrity endorse us before, especially not a popular young actor like him. It doesn't seem like a good fit for our products."

One boy couldn't help but make a sarcastic remark: "Why not? Look at how effeminate he is, maybe he's actually gay and wants to emphasize his 'straight man' identity by endorsing steel products."

The girls present rolled their eyes at him. "What do you know to call him gay? He's just pretty, he's not effeminate at all."

Seeing that these people were getting increasingly absurd, Sister Xu said sternly, "Don't meddle in company matters that are outside your scope of business."

Judging from the situation, if fighting wasn't illegal and they could win, the boy who had been so rude earlier was almost beaten up by a group of girls.

He couldn't help but sigh to himself: It seems that not only can beautiful women be a source of trouble, but "handsome men" can also bring disaster to the country and its people if they are good-looking enough.

"Why did I arrive a step too late and miss seeing such a monster?" He felt a pang of regret as he looked at everyone's reactions.

Uncle Zhai was ordered to call him over because Yang Kai wanted to discuss his project proposal with him at the company.

Upon seeing Yang Xile enter, Yang Kai cut to the chase and asked his son, "Did you write this yourself?"

Yang Xile grinned: "What? Dad, you didn't expect that? Wasn't it done perfectly?"

Yang Kai glanced at his son: "There's no such thing as a perfect business plan."

"Hmm? That's not bad, is it?" Yang Xile was quite confident in himself.

"It's barely passable. How long did you spend researching the market before writing this?"

Uncle Zhai observed the father and son from the side. He knew that although Yang Kai said his son's proposal was merely "passable," he was actually satisfied. His standards were high; anything that made him consider "passable" was already worth at least 80 points.

Yang Xile was very eloquent, and his long-winded speech left his father, Yang Kai, completely bewildered, barely able to get a word in edgewise.

After finishing his homework with the old man, Yang Xile breathed a sigh of relief and decided to have dinner with Uncle Zhai that evening.

He knew that his second sister had been eliminated from the succession competition because of her previous absurd actions.

Uncle Zhai also told him about his father's opinion of his eldest brother, saying that although Yang Xiguang is now trying to "turn over a new leaf," his past ruthlessness made the old man feel that if he were to hand over the business to him in the future, he might kill off his other siblings.

Upon hearing this, Yang Xile felt 70-80% certain that his father had long known the truth about his car accident years ago and knew that his eldest son was definitely not innocent in the matter.

His biggest competitor right now is actually his ambitious and highly capable older sister, Yang Xilin.

During dinner, Uncle Zhai chatted with him about the current state of various industries in China. He said that the real estate industry was in turmoil, and several bigwigs were struggling to survive. Fortunately, Xiangyu Group had only dabbled in this area and would not be greatly affected.
