But his smile quickly froze as he saw a young boy, a head taller than Lin Xiao, standing behind her.
Wei Changfeng's feet seemed frozen at the doorway, as did Lin Xiao's inside. The two looked at each other, and Wei Changfeng glanced at the boy behind her. The three of them stood there in silence.
Finally, Yang Xile broke the silence. He waved his long arm and said to Wei Changfeng, "You've come from afar? Come in and sit down." It was as if he were the true owner of the room.
He certainly didn't want Wei Changfeng to come in as a guest; he simply used the gesture of his arm to guide Wei Changfeng's gaze toward the living room and dining table, especially the bottle of red wine on the table, the pizzas, and the bright and beautiful flowers in the vase, which formed a stark contrast with the bouquet in his arms that was almost unrecognizable.
Following his guidance, Wei Changfeng quickly saw everything Yang Xile wanted him to see. He felt a chill run through him, and his teeth were chattering, probably because he had been standing in the rain for too long.
