Chapter 80: Can't Be Stimulated Anymore

Chapter 80: Can't Be Stimulated Anymore

Min Yu glanced at Huo Yao, who had a gloomy expression and seemed to have suddenly become a different person. After a long while, he slowly spoke to comfort her, "Your grandma will be fine."

Huo Yao hummed lightly, her eyelids drooped, her long eyelashes cast a faint shadow, she looked quiet and did not show any anxiety.

Soon, the door of the ward opened from the inside.

Huo Yao raised his head and walked over calmly.

The doctor took off his mask and looked at Huo Yao and Min Yu, his face showing a bit of seriousness and criticism, "The old lady is fine for now, but can't you young people control your temper? Don't you know that she has a bad heart and can't stand the stimulation?"

Huo Yao's eyes flickered slightly, and he replied in a very polite and humble manner: "We understand, and we will pay attention to it in the future."

Perhaps because she was very polite and willing to listen, the doctor gave up the thought of saying a few words and just said, "Go in and keep her company. Be careful not to irritate her again!"

"Okay." Huo Yao nodded slightly, and after the doctor and the nurse left, she walked into the ward.

The old lady hasn't woken up yet. She is lying there quietly with an oxygen mask on her mouth. The data on the instrument next to her is jumping slowly and steadily.

Huo Yao simply glanced at the instruments beside him, then pulled over a chair and sat down next to the bed.

After staring at the old lady quietly for a while, Huo Yao reached out his hand again and tucked the quilt for her gently. Finally, he held the old lady's hand at her side as if nothing had happened.

Min Yu also sat down on a chair nearby. When he looked over, he only saw Huo Yao's silhouette and didn't notice her subtle movements.

The phone in his pocket vibrated. Min Yu retracted his gaze, slowly took out his phone, glanced at the information displayed on the screen, and then put the phone back into his pocket.

Just about two minutes later, the phone vibrated again. This time it was not a message, but a call from someone.

Min Yu frowned, glanced at Huo Yao, then stood up and walked out of the ward.

His steps were so light that they made almost no sound until he heard the door close. Huo Yao then turned around and looked towards the door. After a second of thought, she looked away.

After a while, Min Yu returned to the ward. Huo Yao slowly put the old lady's hand into the quilt, then raised his head and looked at Min Yu. His voice was quite soft, "Thank you for tonight. It's getting late. You should go back and rest early. I'll be here to watch over you."

Min Yu raised his eyebrows, "You're so polite."

Huo Yao leaned lazily back in his chair. His delicate face was not as solemn as when he first entered the hospital. Instead, he looked more relaxed. "Not really. Shouldn't you have something else to do?"

She glanced at the phone in his hand which he had not yet put into his pocket.

Min Yu was quite surprised at Huo Yao's sharpness, but he did have something to do. After a pause, he said, "I may not be in S City these days. If you have anything, call me."

"Okay." Huo Yao waved his hand, happy to accept it, obviously not taking it to heart.

Seeing this, Min Yu just smiled and said, "Let's go."

Soon, Huo Yao and the old lady on the bed were the only ones left in the ward. After the nurse on duty came to check on the patient for the last time, Huo Yao lay down on the side of the bed and prepared to rest.
