Chapter Sixty-Eight: Running Out of Food



At this moment, the grain convoy was moving slowly, and most of the soldiers were relaxed and unaware of the danger that was about to befall them.

Chen Zhennan's eyes were like torches, fixed on the target ahead. Without any hesitation, he waved his hand and shouted, "Brothers, charge!"

After saying that, Chen Zhennan took the lead and charged straight towards the grain escort team like a tiger descending a mountain.

Along with the gunfire came a series of deafening explosions, and billowing smoke instantly shrouded the land in chaos.

The army of the Great Zhou had never seen such fierce and novel tactics before, and they were all stunned and at a loss.

They scattered and fled like headless flies. Some soldiers were so frightened that their legs went weak and they collapsed to the ground, while others, in their panic, bumped into each other.

Their spears and shields seemed utterly powerless against modern weaponry. Their resistance appeared negligible under the onslaught of these three hundred special forces soldiers.

In less than a quarter of an hour, the battle ended in a swift and decisive manner.

Standing on the devastated battlefield, Chen Zhennan frowned as he looked at the hundreds of carts of grain.

Dealing with so much grain is no easy task, but burning it all would be a terrible waste and a great pity.

After a moment of contemplation, he finally decided to leave the grain behind. Then, with a wave of his hand, he led his soldiers to continue their pursuit of Zhou Jianjia's army.

"We've run out of supplies. Let's see how you, Zhou Jianjia, will launch an attack now."
