Hong Xiaoduo got into the carriage and sat down. She then used her mind to enter the space and saw the old man's excited smile on the screen on the wall.
"Aren't you curious if I have any good news?" After waiting for a while without Hong Xiaoduo speaking, the old man asked, puzzled.
Hong Xiaoduo looked at him calmly and said, "What do I have to be curious about? Besides, what's good news for you might not be good news for me."
Seeing her reaction and attitude, the old man sighed helplessly. If she had complained, argued, or made a scene, he would have found it easier to handle.
But her nonchalant attitude left him at a loss for what to do.
He recalled what the student had told him: that he should take control of the conversation, that she should understand who was in charge, and that she should obediently cooperate and perform well to complete the mission in order to have any hope of returning to the modern world.
Instead of acting like he's doing now, trying to please her with a guilty conscience and a sense of indebtedness.
If I weren't worried that the students would make their relationship with her even worse, I'd really like to say, "You're so capable, I'll just hand it over to you to handle!"
"That's no fun at all," the old man said with a fawning smile.
"Interesting? Then switch our positions and let's see if you can be interesting then," Hong Xiaoduo replied rather bluntly.
The old man was rebuffed but couldn't do anything about it: "Um, I've finally cracked my father's original system password."
You cracked it? Then why are you still hesitating like this?
