Consort Li frowned and withdrew her hand, worried about absorbing the illness from her. She changed the subject, "How is that Shen family boy now?" A hint of hatred flashed in her eyes. "Your brother died under mysterious circumstances. You must avenge him! You must not let those who harmed him get away with it!"
Yun An's smile faded, and he suddenly sneered, "Royal brother, Mother only has eyes for you. You never ask me how I'm doing outside!"
Consort Li looked at her incredulously, her eyes filled with shock: "He's your brother! How could you think like that? At least you have your father backing you up, but what does your brother have?"
She couldn't help but feel resentful. His Majesty was so heartless that he could even harm his own son!
As for the daughter, she called the man who killed her brother "Father Emperor" intimately, without any resentment whatsoever!
Yun An stood up, her face filled with resentment: "Is Mother thinking that it would have been better if I had been the one who died? If it had been me instead of my brother, Mother wouldn't be so heartbroken!"
Consort Li's eyes widened, she clutched her chest and coughed heavily a few times, her face flushed as she cursed, "You bastard! Get out! I don't want to see you!"
Yun An pursed her lips, looked at her intently for a few moments, then turned and left.
When Granny Kang returned carrying the food box, she was astonished by the scene and her eyes widened in surprise: "Princess... what happened?"
Yun An glanced at her and saw that her attire was exactly the same as before. His heart sank, and he gave her a sinister look before leaving without looking back.
Granny Kang was startled by her gaze. After a long pause, she asked Consort Li in a daze, "Your Highness, what happened?"
Consort Li clutched her forehead, her headache flaring up with anger, and said resentfully, "How could I have given birth to such a wretched child! Don't let her come again next time!"
Yun An only heard the second half of the sentence, and her heart sank to the bottom.
Her mother didn't care about her life or death at all; her only support now was her father, the Emperor. If her father found out about this...
No! Father will never know!
Her panicked gaze gradually turned cold.
