Since Lu Shili returned to China, he had nothing to do, so he went to his sister-in-law's house every day to take the kids out. On this day, after dinner, An An and Kang Kang sat in the living room doing their homework.
Suddenly, An An came running over like a cute little rabbit, holding a textbook tightly in her hand. She blinked her big watery eyes and looked at her father. She said in a sweet and coquettish voice, "Dad, this question is too difficult. I don't know how to do it. Can you teach me?" Then she handed the textbook in her hand to her father. Her soft and cute look made people feel pity for her.
Lu Shiyan first cast a doting glance at his daughter, then his gaze shifted to an elderly man who had been sitting nearby since dinner, leisurely playing with his phone with his legs crossed. He then pointed at the slumped elderly man and said to An An with a smile, "An An, go find your uncle. Your uncle is a returned overseas PhD. Such a simple question would be a piece of cake for him. Go ask him to teach you." He then gently patted An An's head.
An An didn't hesitate and ran towards Lu Shili with the book in her hand. She looked at Lu Shili with her big soft eyes, hugged his legs with her small hands, and looked up and called out with a well-behaved face, "Uncle, uncle."
"Well, what's wrong, little baby?" Seeing his niece holding his feet and calling him, Lu Shili put down his phone, picked her up with a doting look on his face, and asked very gently.
"I have a problem I can't solve. Can you teach me?" She blinked her big, watery eyes, filled with anticipation and curiosity. Her pink lips pouted slightly, and two shallow dimples graced her cheeks. Her innocent and adorable expression was so heartwarming that it almost melted anyone's heart. Forget teaching her. Even if he were asked to pick the stars from the sky and give them to her, he would probably do it without hesitation.
"Well, of course you can. Uncle is so awesome." Lu Shili looked at the adorable little girl in front of him, and couldn't help but feel an inexplicable sense of pride in his heart. He couldn't help but want to show off his abilities, so he couldn't help but start to brag.
"Yeah, uncle, let's go to my brother's side to write." An An pointed to his brother on the other side.
Lu Shili nodded, then carried her over.
Lu Shili looked at the knowledge in the elementary school textbook leisurely and thought to himself: It’s so simple, it’s a piece of cake.
Seeing that he had already started teaching the child, Lu Shiyan nudged Wen Ning, who was standing beside him. Wen Ning turned back in confusion, "Well, what's wrong?"
"Go upstairs." Lu Shiyan looked up and said in a low voice.
"Isn't that bad?" Wen Ning hesitated. If she left the children to him, he would be driven crazy. How could she not know the temperaments of her two children?
"What's wrong with that? This is child's play. The kid calls him uncle, and that's what he deserves." Lu Shiyan said very unkindly. Seeing that she was still struggling, Lu Shiyan pulled her aside and said, "Let's go."
Since someone was looking after their baby, he was happy and at ease, and the two of them enjoyed their rare time alone.
Wen Ning glanced at them and followed Lu Shiyan silently. Well, if someone is watching, then let him watch and he can relax for two days.
Unlike the two of them who were just close to each other, Lu Shili soon realized that teaching a child was not such a simple task.
"How many grapes are these, An An?" Lu Shili asked again, doubting his life.
"Six grapes, uncle." An An looked at Lu Shili innocently, not understanding why his uncle kept repeating it. Wasn't this an obvious question?
"Now do you know what 2+4 equals?" Lu Shili asked calmly.
"Uncle, you are so stupid. 2+4=8." An An blinked his big eyes and looked calm.
Lu Shili looked at the grapes on the table, then looked at her. He almost suspected that there was something wrong with his eyes. He asked again, unconvinced, "Count them for uncle to see."
"Uncle, I'm counting. Watch me. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6." After An An finished counting, he looked at his uncle and said obediently, "Uncle, I'm done. There are 6."
"Now tell me what 2+4 equals?"
"2 + 4 equals 8."
Lu Shili: ...
Lu Shili was practically going crazy. Could anyone explain why he could count just fine, but when asked what the answer was, he got it wrong? What on earth had gone wrong? He was starting to question his life.
"Why is it equal to 8?" Lu Shili decided to ask in a different way. He really couldn't understand the child's train of thought.
"Because it's equal to 8." An An answered innocently.
Lu Shili held his head with both hands and grabbed his hair. At this moment, he felt like he had received 10,000 points of critical hit.
"No, An An, 2+4=6. Look, these are 2 grapes, plus these 4 grapes, that makes 6." Lu Shili patiently explained it to her again, and An An nodded, seemingly understanding. Seeing her nod, Lu Shili stopped worrying. If he continued, he would really go crazy.
When Kang Kang saw that he had finished, he took out another question and asked him, "Uncle, why is this wrong?"
"Okay, let uncle take a look." Lu Shili breathed a sigh of relief and picked up the test paper.
6. Mom bought Doudou a new pencil case for 7.5 yuan. How can she pay for it? Write down two payment methods.
Answer: 1. WeChat 2. Alipay
Lu Shili: ...
Lu Shili's mind was full of questions. Was this a math problem? Why did he feel it was so outrageous? It wasn't rigorous at all.
Lu Shili: "Why did you write WeChat and Alipay?"
