Chang Wei carefully read the briefings sent by various fleets, and then recognized and praised those fronts that performed well. He also gave instructions and responses to those fronts that had problems.
Chang Wei was well aware of the Transformers' ability to stir up trouble, especially in the Second Fleet. So he wrote a letter to Chagatai Khan, asking him to be careful with those "chuunibyou" people and not let them lead them astray. If anyone tries to trick you into believing they're the Messiah of Om, don't believe it.
As for the issue of the Fourth Fleet and the Tau Empire, Chang Wei's reply was: put it on hold for the time being, and come back to deal with this matter after dealing with other aliens in the Extreme Star Field.
Chang Wei did this out of consideration for the feelings of Cats and Dogs, Fury, and the others. Their Light Chasers fleet didn't advocate "human supremacy," nor was it a purely human fleet. Besides humans, the Light Chasers also included Cats and Dogs, Fury, Transformers, Protoss, Metal Lifeforms (ELS), intelligent beings, and Quantum Ghosts.
Essentially, they belonged to a fleet carrying out a rescue mission, not a military organization affiliated with the Human Empire. After completing their mission in this world, they would each return to their own homes and find their own mothers.
Therefore, Chang Wei couldn't possibly offend Cat and Dog Furui by casually judging "The Greater Good." After all, it was a product of this world, and many of its ideas and concepts were very beautiful and positive. However, the truth of the matter could only be determined by the Light Chaser's own careful observation.
Simply put, there are two interpretations of "the highest good": one is sincere and the other is hypocritical.
A sincere interpretation is that the Tau are all about truth, kindness, and beauty, and pure in heart. Born in a remote region, they've been spared the harsh treatment and taint of the galactic races. Therefore, they naively propose that all races should coexist peacefully, working together for a greater and more beautiful goal, ultimately creating a society where everyone is equal and compassionate. And let the enlightenment of the "Greater Good" illuminate the entire dark galaxy!
A hypocritical interpretation is that the "Greater Good" is actually a paranoid and imposed belief. It emphasizes the importance of collective needs over individual needs! All supporters must unwaveringly uphold this belief, tirelessly working and courageously fighting to achieve this great goal, even sacrificing their lives. Every action that benefits the collective, no matter how insignificant, deserves recognition and praise, while the few arrogant and selfish individuals will be despised by everyone.
In order to spread the concept of "The Greater Good" throughout the galaxy and let light shine upon all darkness, it must inevitably expand outward. If you disagree, then you are a fool and a cancer who is unwilling to accept this teaching, and an enemy of "The Greater Good"!
Since you don't want to join the "Greater Co-Prosperity Sphere" we've formed, then go to hell! This is also why many Warhammer 40,000 fans later jokingly call the Tau "Tau Kings." Whether it's their remote and confined location and territory, or the fervent belief and universal faith in the "Greater Good," the Great Co-Prosperity theory is filled with a strong sense of simple life.
But it must be said that the Tau are really good to those who are willing to join them and believe in the "Greater Good"! Even if you become a prisoner of the Tau, your quality of life far exceeds that of most civilians in the human empire.
Because, in the Tau, you can enjoy delicious food, comfortable and warm housing, a reasonable and relaxing working environment, and a lot of friendly and united care. They are considered the most bright and kind race in the entire Warhammer universe.
Without a golden finger or a fortuitous encounter, and with a particularly low status, most time travelers would surely defect to the Titanium Tribe if given the chance. The reason is simply that the atmosphere and living environment there are better.
Therefore, over time, those foreign races whose mindsets were gradually assimilated, would spontaneously serve the Tau and contribute their strength and knowledge. This also enabled the originally weak Tau to achieve a leap in technological development, because it was the wisdom condensed by the concerted efforts of countless races!
Fortunately, they had arrived at the right time. Otherwise, how could such a naive and weak race have survived in the cruel Warhammer universe? However, from another perspective, isn't this also another way of survival? In other words: weak races can only band together for warmth. Unite all forces that can be united, and then grow stronger step by step in this chaotic world, hoping to compete with those powerful beings and win a glimmer of hope!
Chang Wei couldn't make a definitive conclusion about the Titanium Clan. He could only make contact with them first and observe them for a while before making any conclusions.
The issue centered on the Fifth Fleet. Palpatine and the Blood Angels' Chapter Master, Louis Dante, reportedly engaged in a brawl that ultimately ended in acrimony. The Blood Angels, thanks to their Primarch Sanguinius, have inherited some degree of prophetic abilities. Furthermore, Sanguinius's death also afflicted the Astartes of his Chapter with the genetic defects "bloodthirst" and "black rage."
These two genetic defects sometimes lead them to confuse friend and foe, leading to sudden attacks on friendly forces. Chang Wei didn't understand the specific circumstances, and Palpatine similarly didn't elaborate. Furthermore, and most importantly, according to the original historical trajectory, Louis Dante would become headstrong and self-willed, attempting to replace the Primarch Sanguinius, gradually falling into Tzeentch's trap and ultimately becoming a Tzeentch follower.
Considering that Louis Dante had already led a group of Blood Angels to flee, ignoring the orders of his Warmaster, this could be considered a defection! Therefore, Chang Wei did not hesitate and directly ordered Palpatine to pursue and eliminate him!
No matter what your reasons are, if you dare to split the troops, destroy unity, and disobey orders before I can deal with them, you will be sentenced to death!
Chang Wei had long known that some within the empire would undoubtedly disobey him as the Warmaster, but he hadn't expected someone to actually dare to step forward. If Lei Ting hadn't intervened and suppressed them, wouldn't those other lurkers with ulterior motives be ready to make a move?
After confirming this, Chang Wei clicked send, while Alice next to him refilled his coffee.
At this late hour, when everyone else was taking a break, sleeping, or playing games, Chang Wei, the leader, was apparently still working overtime in the office to handle official business.
Chang Wei was exhausted, but when he saw Alice pouring him coffee, her collar glimpsed as she bent over, almost revealing a white rabbit dancing inside, he regained his spirits. Meanwhile, he kept complaining in his heart, "This guy is definitely doing this on purpose! He's tempting me again!"
