Daxia Academy.
Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the environment is quiet and peaceful.
On the outer wall of the academy are eight powerful characters: "Educate all living beings, educate heaven and earth."
Qin Luo and Wan'er arrived at the academy gate. There were two young children outside, dressed in white. One child was reading, and the other was practicing swordsmanship.
The child practicing swordsmanship looked at Qin Luo and the others, his little face serious, and said, "The academy is temporarily closed, please stop here!"
Wan'er said with a smile, "He is Master Qin from Longhu Temple, a distinguished guest invited by Her Highness the Princess."
The child practicing swordsmanship maintained a stern face and declared loudly, "Rules are rules. Even if Her Highness the Princess came here, she would need the Dean's permission to enter."
Wan'er was a little embarrassed. She didn't expect this child to disrespect them. If other academy teachers were here, they would definitely let them in.
Qin Luo smiled and said softly, "Please go in and inform them that Qin Luo from Longhu Temple is passing by and wishes to visit Dean Chen at the academy."
The child practicing swordsmanship looked at the child holding a book beside him and said, "Xiaoyun, go and tell the dean."
"Okay, senior brother!"
A child carrying a book ran into the academy.
The child practicing sword looked at Qin Luo and said, "Daoist, you probably don't know the rules of the Great Xia Academy. Our academy is open for one hour every evening, and anyone can enter at that time. Now is the time for the academy's disciples to study."
Qin Luo cupped his hands in apology, "It seems I was in the wrong."
The child practicing swordsmanship bowed in return, his expression softening considerably. "Ignorance is no excuse. The Daoist is a wise man. Some people know they've made a mistake, yet they remain aloof and arrogant."
Qin Luo smiled. The child practicing swordsmanship was only eight or nine years old, not much older than his junior sister, yet he knew a lot. He was indeed a disciple of the academy.
"May I have your name?"
"My name is Tongyan, which means 'children speak without restraint'."
"That's a nice name."
"This name will resound throughout the world!"
Yes, it will.
Qin Luo nodded with a smile.
Tong Yan asked earnestly, "You really believe that?"
"I believe you!"
Qin Luo said earnestly.
"Daoist Master, you have better judgment than them." Tong Yan smiled happily; he seemed more like a child now.
A refined-looking middle-aged man strode quickly to the door.
Tong Yan, holding his sword and clasping his hands in greeting, said, "Greetings, Mr. Du!"
The refined middle-aged man nodded and bowed to Qin Luo, saying, "Du Lu of the Academy greets Daoist Qin!"
Qin Luo bowed in return, "Qin Luo of Longhu Temple greets Mr. Du. I apologize for the intrusion."
Du Lu's face was full of joy, and he said warmly, "Master Qin, it is an honor for our Great Xia Academy to have you come. Please come in!"
Qin Luo followed Du Lu into the academy. The academy was divided into an inner courtyard and an outer courtyard. The disciples in the outer courtyard were younger and mostly studying. They were very curious about Qin Luo.
There is a long avenue in the academy, with stone tablets on both sides that are ten feet tall, covered with dense inscriptions left by the academy's predecessors.
Qin Luo came to the stone tablet to read the inscription, which recorded the reading insights of the ancient sages.
Du Lu said respectfully, "Master Qin, our dean is busy with ancestral worship, so he would like to invite you to sit in Jingxinzhai for a while. He will be there shortly."
Qin Luo smiled slightly and said softly, "No rush, I want to see these inscriptions."
These inscriptions are imbued with a sense of righteousness.
When Qin Luo looked at the inscription, he would sometimes nod and sometimes shake his head. Nodding did not mean he agreed with it, but rather that he thought the inscription was well written. Shaking his head did not mean that it was poorly written, but rather that they had different opinions.
Although Wan'er was well-read, she had never been to the academy before. She was attracted by the inscriptions on the academy's monuments, and by the time she came to her senses, Qin Luo had already walked quite far.
Qin Luo read very quickly. Du Lu didn't know if Qin Luo had finished reading, but seeing that he was reading the inscription seriously, he didn't disturb him.
There were many academy disciples on this avenue, sitting cross-legged in front of the stone tablet, cultivating. Qin Luo saw Guan Yuqing, Zhou Yanghao, and Meng Qingyun in the distance.
They were all focused on their cultivation and didn't notice Qin Luo's arrival. The surrounding area was bustling, but this place was quiet. Qin Luo finished reading all the inscriptions in less than half a day.
Qin Luo could feel the academy's righteous energy gathering towards him. Du Lu, as a teacher at the academy, had a very high level of cultivation and could naturally see the changes in the righteous energy nearby.
Du Lu's eyes were filled with envy.
Qin Luo did not absorb the academy's righteous energy, which made Du Lu even more respectful.
They walked along the avenue lined with stone tablets and arrived at Jingxinzhai. After Qin Luo sat down, Wan'er stood beside him.
Du Lü served Qin Luo hot tea.
Qin Luo said with a smile, "Miss Wan'er, Mr. Du, please sit down."
Du Lu and Wan'er nodded with smiles. After they sat down, Qin Luo picked up his teacup and drank the tea. The tea was not very fragrant and was quite light, giving people a sense of tranquility.
After Qin Luo finished his tea, Dean Chen Nianzhi arrived at Jingxinzhai shortly afterward. He was refined and approachable, and said warmly, "Master Qin, I am guilty of keeping you waiting."
"Dean Chen, please don't mind." Qin Luo stood up and bowed to Chen Nianzhi.
"Master Qin, please have a seat."
"Dean Chen, please have a seat."
After Qin Luo and Chen Nianzhi sat down, Wan'er and Du Lu both stood up.
Chen Nianzhi didn't waste any words; he went straight to the point: "Master Qin, what is your view on the conflict between Heaven and Man?"
"I want to maintain the balance between the way of Heaven and the way of humanity." Qin Luo advocates harmony as the most important thing.
Chen Nianzhi said with a smile, "It's hard to separate two fat guys fighting, but it's easy if you help one of them win."
"We have to give it a try."
