Lu Xian was excited as he held the golden page of the Book of Life and Death. This was a supreme treasure, and anyone who obtained it would hide it away as a powerful weapon. Yet Qin Luo had given it to him willingly.
Qin Luo remained calm, but asked with some confusion, "Why are there no names on this Book of Life and Death?"
Lu Xian placed his hand on the Book of Life and Death, and soon dense text appeared: "The Book of Life and Death is connected to the Great Dao of Reincarnation. Through the Book of Life and Death, we can see the past and present lives of everyone in the cycle of reincarnation."
"That's amazing?"
"Could you tell me about my past life?"
Qin Luo was somewhat interested. He had recently been cultivating the One Qi Transforms into Three Pure Ones technique and saw two blurry figures in his sea of consciousness. He wondered if they were his past lives.
Lu Xian was equally interested. He activated the golden page of the Book of Life and Death, and the golden paper floated in front of Qin Luo like a mirror, but there was nothing on it.
"Master Qin, can you see clearly?"
There's nothing there.
Lu Xian approached Qin Luo and looked at the empty Book of Life and Death, exclaiming in shock, "It can't even show anything! Does that mean Master Qin isn't in the cycle of reincarnation?"
Hua Ying remained calm. She knew that Qin Luo did not belong to this world, so naturally she could not be seen by him.
Qin Luo looked at Hua Ying, "Do you want to give it a try?"
"No!"
Hua Ying did not hesitate.
She probably can't see her past life either.
Lu Xian put away the golden page of the Book of Life and Death, and bowed again, "Thank you, Daoist Qin!"
"Senior, there's no need for such formalities. We appreciate your hard work in managing the spirits." After finishing his tea, Qin Luo said with a smile, "Senior Lu, we won't bother you any longer. Once King Yama has confirmed the time, just let us know."
"Respectfully seeing off Daoist Qin!"
Lu Xian bowed respectfully.
Leaving the City God Temple, Qin Luo smiled and asked, "Shall we go shopping in town, or go to the mountains to enjoy the scenery?"
Hua Ying smiled faintly and said softly, "Anywhere is fine with me, I'll listen to you."
Qin Luo thought for a moment, then looked towards the depths of the Purple Cloud Mountains. "I've thought of a good place. Let's go."
Hua Ying followed Qin Luo toward the Ziyun Mountains.
