Chapter 19 Wen Sirou's Viciousness

Upon hearing the sound, Huo Yinghuai almost instinctively turned around and, sure enough, saw a dark, warm pear in the very center of the ruins.

Wen Li was entirely charcoal-colored, except for her striking black and white eyes, which stood out in the crowd.

Wen Li looked around, and when she saw Huo Yinghuai, she was a little surprised. Then she gave Huo Yinghuai a flattering smile.

Both of them were then rescued.

It's a miracle that the two survived the collapse of the hot charcoal pit. However, because Wen Li and Wen Xingming were covered in soot, it was uncertain whether they were injured. The rescue doctors could only carefully lift them onto a stretcher and send them to the hospital for examination.

At the same time, Wen Yanchu, upon receiving the news, also rushed to the hospital.

When he arrived, the two had already completed their examinations, and at that moment, the heads of various departments in the hospital gathered together and exclaimed in amazement at the miracle.

Putting aside the fact that the two people were buried in the high temperature for nearly two hours without suffering any burns or even suffocation, they didn't even get a scratch from the heavy wood that collapsed.

If this were told to others, probably no one would believe it.

The two miracles that amazed the doctor were sitting outside in the corridor.

Huo Yinghuai had two sets of clothes delivered, and after checking them, the two of them quickly washed up.

Wen Yanchu looked at her brother, who was still in shock, and then glanced at Huo Yinghuai with some surprise.

He never expected that Huo Yinghuai would now be Wen Li's guardian.

At this moment, Wen Xingming seemed to have come to his senses. He looked at Wen Yanchu for a while, then curled his lip and said, "Big brother, if it weren't for Wen Li today, I would have been burned to a crisp. We should thank her properly."

When he saw the house collapse, he thought he would be doomed too.

Ke Wenli quickly threw out several talismans, then pulled him onto her body to bear most of the force.

He thought he was going to die, but he didn't feel any discomfort during the two hours he was buried in the rubble.

How could Wen Xingming not be moved by someone risking their life to save him in a dangerous situation?

"Whether you acknowledge it or not, from this day forward, Wen Li is my own sister!"

Wen Xingming kept complaining to his older brother. Wen Yanchu tried to speak several times, but Wen Xingming interrupted him, so that he didn't even have a chance to speak.

Meanwhile, they didn't notice Wen Sirou, who was standing next to them with a pale face.

"Second Brother."

After an unknown amount of time, Wen Sirou finally spoke, but a hint of hurt was visible in her eyes.

Wen Xingming was somewhat surprised to see Wen Sirou: "What brings you here?"

Wen Sirou didn't answer, but instead questioned, "What did you mean by what you just said, Second Brother?"

Wen Xingming was speechless. He wanted to say that he had no other thoughts.

But when he thought about how Wen Sirou abandoned him that day, almost causing him to be killed, and how even Wen Li, an outsider, tried to comfort him when he was being insulted by the entire internet a few days ago.

He didn't even bother to ask about his younger sister, whom he once loved the most.

Moreover, he had just escaped death, and Wen Sirou was not concerned about whether he was injured, but rather questioned him like an enemy, asking if he did not consider her a member of the Wen family.

Wen Xingming suddenly realized that he had never really understood Wen Sirou.

He simply sat there with a cold face and didn't say a word.

Wen Sirou's heart skipped a beat, and she felt a little flustered.

But the love and pampering from her family made her take it for granted, so Wen Sirou felt that the other party was tacitly agreeing with what she said.

"Second brother, I rushed over as soon as I saw the news of your injury online. What you said just now hurt me so much." Wen Sirou wiped away her tears sweetly, but said generously, "But I still forgive you."

Wen Sirou thought her second brother would definitely be incredibly moved, and he would even coax her later.

However, after waiting for a long time, everyone in the corridor was looking at her with complicated expressions.

Wen Xingming's eyes widened in disbelief.

He didn't understand why he needed Wen Sirou to "forgive" him.

Wen Xingmian's face was filled with utter disappointment: "I survived a fire, and the first thing you did when you saw me wasn't to show concern, but to question me?"

Wen Sirou immediately realized what she meant, her face turning deathly pale. She hurriedly shook her head, saying, "That's not what I meant."

These days, because I need to do a paternity test, I've been having nightmares every night.

She knew better than anyone whether she was the Wen family's biological daughter or not; otherwise, she wouldn't have panicked and said the wrong thing when she heard Wen Xingming say he wanted to recognize Wen Li as his younger sister.

Wen Sirou wanted to explain, but looking at the disappointed looks in the two brothers' eyes, she felt that no matter how she explained, it would seem like she was trying to cover something up.

In the end, Wen Yanchu stepped forward: "We're all family, so don't say hurtful things in the future."

As he spoke, Wen Yanchu walked up to Wen Li and looked at her familiar features. His tone softened considerably as he said, "Thank you for saving my brother today."

Wen Li quickly waved her hand: "Wen Xingming is also my own brother, and he is very important to me."

If Wen Xingming dies, her complete bankruptcy will not be far off.

Wen Xingming, unaware of the reason, had tears welling up in his eyes when he heard Wen Li say this.

Wen Yanchu felt even more favorably toward Wen Li, and suddenly said, "There's a big project at home recently. After we meet that day, Dad has to rush abroad to discuss the project and won't be back until tomorrow. I'll arrange for you to do a paternity test then."

Wen Yanchu suddenly felt that it wouldn't be impossible if the little girl really was related to them by blood.

Moreover, agreeing to Wen Li's request that day was not a spur-of-the-moment decision.

He suddenly remembered something his third brother had told him when they were children.

When his mother gave birth to his younger sister, he and Wen Xingming were both in school, while his younger brother Wen Yu was still in kindergarten. He came home early from school and happened to be there when his mother gave birth.
