"Grandpa, I never regret the decisions I make."
Si Tingyu said confidently.
Old Master Si didn't want to look at him anymore, and simply waved for him to leave.
"Grandpa, you should rest well. I'll play chess with you tomorrow."
Si Tingyu knew that the old man was still angry with him for acting first and informing him later, so he wisely chose to leave first.
After he left, Old Master Si sighed softly again.
The granddaughter-in-law he had his eye on slipped through his fingers. It would be a lie to say he could accept it. Xiao Xueru was such a good person. Why didn't his silly grandson wait until he got to know her before deciding whether to call off the engagement?

I thought he was just joking, but I didn't expect him to actually do it.
"Fortunately, you're still somewhat useful."
The old man snorted softly and said arrogantly.
Si Tingyu did not refute.
The old man is still angry. If he's smart, he should go along with it. Otherwise, he won't be able to hear properly for a while.
"Let's go."
At Elder Si's command, Si Tingyu accompanied him into the car.
The driver drove to the Shu family's house.
The two got out of the car, and a servant immediately led them inside.
As soon as he arrived at the entrance of the banquet hall, Si Tingyu glanced casually and saw a familiar, graceful figure flash by in the distance. His pupils trembled slightly.
"Grandpa, I'm going to find someone."
Si Tingyu left those words behind and then ran off in the direction of the figure.
But when they got there, there was no one there.
He frowned. Was he hallucinating because he missed her so much?
"Tingyu, who are you looking for?"
Old Master Si was worried about him coming along and asked suspiciously.
