"Little sister, you're quite skilled at scaring people."
Shu Lingyin praised her younger sister.
Shu Mowan shrugged and accepted his praise: "There's nothing I can do, I've just been scared too much."
She had led her team on so many missions, and when she encountered stubborn troublemakers, she always had to intimidate them. After doing it so many times, she became quite skilled at it.
After hearing this, Shu Lingyin became even more curious about her.
"Little sister, I want to know just how many secrets you have."
He said sincerely.
Shu Mowan smiled and said, "Then take your time to read it. You might find out later."
With so many disguises she's wearing, her family will find out sooner or later.
"OK."
Shu Lingyin readily agreed.
He didn't let Shu Mowan tell him either; he'd find out for himself, which would be even more exciting.
Yun Yun didn't care how many things Shu Mowan knew or how many secrets she had; she was just heartbroken that she knew so much at such a young age.
If her daughter had been pampered by the Shu family, she wouldn't have needed to be so considerate in every way.
“My Wanwan, you don’t really need to work so hard.”
She patted Shu Mowan's head and said with heartache.
Shu Mowan knew Yun Yun's thoughts; she simply wanted Yun Yun to live a carefree life like a little princess, but that wasn't what she wanted.
However, this does not prevent her from enjoying her mother's care.
She affectionately nuzzled Yunyun's palm, trying to coax her, "With Mom here, I won't have to work so hard anymore."
These words successfully pleased Yunyun.
"Mom, let's go, I'm hungry."
Shu Mowan took Yun Yun's hand and said coquettishly, "I want to eat braised shredded chicken."
In the past, when I went on missions, I liked to ask my men to use whatever ingredients they had on hand to make a barbecue version of shredded chicken, coat it with a secret sauce, and eat it when I was hungry. It was especially satisfying.
Even now, thinking about it makes my mouth water.
"Okay, I'll take you to eat shredded chicken."
Yun Yun doted on her.
The group went to a large hotel nearby.
When the shredded chicken was served, Shu Mowan took a bite, but it wasn't as delicious as she had imagined. She sighed silently and stopped eating.
Si Tingyu noticed her actions and asked, "Don't you like it?"
"It tastes good."
Shu Mowan commented that it was good, but then used her chopsticks to touch other dishes.
Si Tingyu stood up, and amidst everyone's puzzled gazes, he said to Shu Mowan, "Don't eat too much, wait for me, I'll be back soon."
Shu Mowan nodded, seemingly puzzled.
After Si Tingyu left, Shu Lingyin muttered, "What's he up to? Why is he being so mysterious?"
"Second Brother, Tingyu didn't go to make shredded chicken with soy sauce, did he?"
Shu Lingduan whispered.
Shu Lingyin's expression changed slightly, and she cursed inwardly, "Tingyu is too cunning now."
He remembered that Si Tingyu had honed his culinary skills while in the army.
Upon hearing his words, the other four felt that the food in front of them no longer tasted appetizing.
They only have themselves to blame for not knowing how to make shriveled chicken with soy sauce; otherwise, Si Tingyu wouldn't have had the opportunity to curry favor with his sister.
Sure enough, an hour later, Si Tingyu came in carrying a chicken. Even before he got close, a rich aroma wafted over, making one's mouth water.
He put on disposable gloves and tore off a chicken leg for Shu Mowan. "I made this. Try it and see if you like it?"
Shu Mowan gave him a meaningful look, thinking to herself that this guy really knew how to make braised shredded chicken.
