Chapter 6 The Beginning of Li Ruo's Nightmare

After leaving the hospital, Li Ruo did not immediately get into the car, but stood to the side and humbly made a request.

“Mr. Wen, may I visit my adoptive mother more often recently? She raised me and I have a very deep bond with her.”

Wen Huaiyan narrowed his slightly darkened eyes, and a sense of oppression instantly descended upon him.

Li Ruo suddenly tensed up, pleading with her eyes cautiously.

"Can."

The same straightforward answer as before surprised Li Ruo.

To be honest, Wen Huaiyan felt somewhat unfamiliar to her today.

In my memory, he should have been cold-blooded, ruthless, and inhumane.

Li Ruo was flattered and surprised. After a brief moment of stunned silence, she realized what was happening and thanked him repeatedly.

"I'm so sorry to have troubled you today. Thank you so much for taking care of me, Mr. Wen."

What surprised Li Ruo even more was that Wen Huaiyan didn't say anything to deliberately scare her along the way.

Before getting out of the car, the man told her, as if bestowing a reward, that this was a gift for an obedient pet.

After much thought, Li Ruo concluded that it must have been during the hospital that she and Jiang Ze deliberately distanced themselves to satisfy his desire for control and possession.

A moment later, Li Ruo stood at the entrance of a villa. Judging from both its decoration and size, it was a mansion.

But Li Ruo knew that this place was located in the suburbs, in a remote geographical location, making escape extremely difficult.

To be precise, this is an extremely expensive prison. In her previous life, Li Ruo was imprisoned here and became his bedmate.

As various memories surfaced in her mind, Li Ruo inevitably got goosebumps.

But now, she is outnumbered and outmatched. In order to take revenge, she can only pretend to be friendly with Wen Huaiyan and stay here for the time being.

"Come in."

The man's deep voice sounded like a coaxing tone, but it left Li Ruo no room to resist.

Li Ruo obediently followed.

As soon as I entered the villa, that familiar sense of oppression hit me.

Li Ruo's hands trembled uncontrollably, so she gripped the hem of her clothes tightly, trying her best to appear calm.

The area here is quite large; it takes some time to get from the main gate to the room in the villa.

On the way, Li Ruo listened silently to the conversation between Huai Yan and her special assistant Li Lang.

The 80th birthday of the Wen family patriarch is coming soon, and everyone in the industry, from the powerful and influential to the nobody, will attend.

Upon hearing this, Li Ruo, who had been silent all along, suddenly lowered her gaze.

She knew about the party.

In her previous life, it was at this very gathering that Li Ruo was framed by the two siblings of the Li family.

They drugged the wine Li Ruo had drunk, forcing her to lose consciousness, and then took her to the bed of an old bachelor, where they took a series of explicit photos of her.

That was the beginning of Li Ruo's nightmare.

Wen Huaiyan flew into a rage and nearly killed the old bachelor, after which she began to imprison her.

The siblings also used these photos to blackmail Li Ruo, forcing her to take money and jewelry from Wen Huaiyan, and even to spy on the Wen family's internal affairs.

After leaving the hospital today, Li Ruo did not return to the Li family to demand an explanation, but instead chose to delay the inevitable.

After all, she has nothing now, and the only person she can rely on is the man beside her.

Since the gathering is coming, she might as well use it as an opportunity to repay those people with tenfold the things she experienced in her previous life, and also to give her mother a chance to vent her anger.

Finally, we entered the villa.

Taking advantage of Li Lang's absence, Li Ruo took the initiative to get close to Wen Huaiyan.

She wrapped her soft, snake-like arms around the waist of the person in front of her, pressing her small face tightly against his chest.

She raised her head, her shimmering eyes revealing a pitiful vulnerability that made one want to cherish her.

"Mr. Wen, are you going to attend the old man's 80th birthday celebration soon?"

Wen Huaiyan hummed in agreement, quietly watching the little vixen's performance.

Li Ruo hooked one finger around his belt, and her innocent face was now flushed with a seductive allure.

"Mr. Wen, could you take me with you? I'm not very worldly and I'd like to stay by your side."

After speaking, Li Ruo leaned closer, her warm breath brushing against the man's earlobe.

"I will do my best."

"How should we perform?"

Wen Huaiyan became interested and grabbed her by the neck with his large hand, looking down at her.

In the blink of an eye, Li Ruo had already untied his belt without making a sound.

She has a pure and lovely appearance, but her every move is surprisingly skillful.

Just as Li Ruo said, Wen Huaiyan was indeed very satisfied.

The birthday banquet arrived as scheduled, and the venue was the highest-standard banquet hall in the city center.

A light drizzle fell tonight, but it did not dampen the enthusiasm of our media friends.

On both sides of the red carpet at the entrance, cameras were packed together, and various fill lights were flashing under each umbrella.

Amidst the hustle and bustle, a ostentatious and luxurious black sports car drove into view.

A driver opened the car door, and the handsome men and beautiful women who stepped out immediately attracted everyone's attention.

Wen Huaiyan, dressed in a suit and tie, had an outstanding appearance. Even in the rain, his radiance was not diminished in the slightest.

With every gesture, she exuded nobility and composure, her entire being resembling a deity crafted from precious jade.

As for the woman standing beside him... she wasn't intimidated in the slightest by his aura and appearance!
