Chapter 24 He Tingchuan is put in solitary confinement

He Tingchuan bought some food and went home, but didn't see Yun Jin, so he frowned.

Hearing Yun Jin's laughter faintly, He Tingchuan went over out of curiosity and found her already eating at Commander Gao's house next door.

Holding a bowl, he was drinking dumpling soup.

She ate with gusto, showering the food with compliments: "Sister-in-law's sauerkraut dumplings are absolutely delicious! They're so appetizing! Even someone like me with no appetite can eat a whole bowl in one go. Sister-in-law's cooking is amazing!"

Yun Jin gave an exaggerated thumbs-up.

Sister-in-law Gao was very pleased. Even though she had suffered a great loss, she acted as if she had gained a great advantage: "Next time you are hungry, if our food is ready, just come over."

"You're like my sister-in-law, I'll definitely come again!" Yun Jin's emotional appeal was off the charts.

The usually stingy Sister-in-law Gao thought that three dumplings would definitely not be enough to fill her up, so she gritted her teeth and decided to give Yun Jin two more of the sauerkraut dumplings she had saved for lunch. Just then, she saw He Tingchuan standing at the door with a subtle expression on his face.

Sister-in-law Gao thought to herself, "Finally, she's back."

If he doesn't come back soon, I'll miss out on two dumplings: "Commander He is back! Your wife is eating dumplings at my house!"

"I'm sorry to have troubled you, sister-in-law!" He Tingchuan looked at Yun Jin, who was drinking dumpling soup, and saw that her bright eyes showed that she was still not full.

This woman.......

He Tingchuan didn't know how to complain. Faced with her ingratiating smile, He Tingchuan softened. He had to accept that his wife was as greedy as she was.

"I bought a bit too many steamed buns. Would you mind if I tried them, sister-in-law?" As she spoke, she took out two fist-sized steamed buns. They were large, with thin skins and generous fillings, and were quite oily. Before she could refuse, Sister-in-law Gao had already done so.

The kids in my family, who haven't had lard in a long time, were really craving it. If they weren't too shy to just grab it, they would have fought over it.

As stingy as she may be, she wasn't trying to take advantage: "It's just a few dumplings, no need for the steamed buns, you can keep them for yourselves."

He Tingchuan definitely wouldn't accept it.

Sister-in-law Gao felt embarrassed.

Just as the two were pushing and shoving each other, Yun Jin, who had finished the last sip of dumpling soup, took the oily steamed bun, cut it in half, and stuffed it into the mouths of the two young members of the Gao family who were eagerly waiting and drooling.

She deftly broke the remaining piece in half, stuffing one half into Sister-in-law Gao's mouth and giving the other half to Gao's eldest daughter: "If you don't eat it, I'll be too embarrassed to come and eat your food next time I'm hungry."

"..." The Gao family members, stuffed with greasy steamed buns, couldn't help but shed tears from the corners of their mouths.

Yun Jin thanked He Tingchuan, waved, and headed home.

As soon as Yun Jin and her husband left, the stunned Gao family members took a deep breath and looked at the large meat bun in their hands, which was three parts lean meat and seven parts fat, with their eyes shining.

The next moment, he wolfed down the food, still not satisfied, and licked his fingers, which were covered in lard, all over.

fragrant!

Pork is so delicious!!

The most delicious meat buns are those with lots of oil seeping through!

After a while, He Tingchuan took out the meat buns and tea eggs he had bought: "You eat first, I'm going out for a bit."

Yun Jin frowned: "What's wrong?"

He Tingchuan paused, turned around and glanced at her, his eyes filled with complex emotions, but he didn't tell her anything, only saying, "It's nothing."

Yun Jin didn't believe it. Watching He Tingchuan leave in a hurry, she chased after him, calling out, "He Tingchuan!"

He Tingchuan turned around and a tea egg was thrown at him: "Eat your fill before you talk, don't starve yourself."

Hearing her caring words, I felt a warmth in my heart for some reason.

The egg in my palm seems to have lost its flavor.

He nodded indifferently, turned around with a dashing air, and went downstairs in two quick steps. He tapped the egg in his hand on his forehead, peeled off the shell with his nimble hands, and finished the tea egg in two bites.

The political commissar, who was keeping track of the time, was waiting downstairs.

Seeing that He Tingchuan was three seconds over the time limit, the punishment was: "Write a three-thousand-word self-criticism, not a single word can be missing."

He Tingchuan didn't care; it was just a three-thousand-word self-criticism.

Yun Jin stood in the corridor, watching the figures of the political commissar leave one after the other, and roughly guessed what it was about.

Although Feng Qianqian was hateful, this was, after all, a military compound, a military unit, and He Tingchuan had superiors above him. He almost strangled Feng Qianqian in a fit of rage, so it was impossible to pretend that this hadn't happened.

Yun Jin wasn't worried about He Tingchuan. He was the male protagonist in the book, and there was nothing he couldn't handle. She figured this matter would be resolved easily as well.

That's what Yun Jin thought, but in reality, it wasn't that simple.

When He Tingchuan arrived at the political commissar's office, the commissar asked in a calm tone, "Do you know why I called you here?"

"If it's about Instructor Feng, then I did nothing wrong." He Tingchuan was willing to take responsibility for his actions.

The political commissar laughed angrily: "You still say you're right? You're a soldier, not an executioner. You should use your ruthlessness on the battlefield, not on our comrades, especially female comrades."

He Tingchuan looked indignant: "She asked for it."

The political commissar slammed his fist on the table in anger: "He Tingchuan, do you know that Feng Qianqian not only suffered a fracture, but also a severe neck injury and tracheal damage? If her vocal cords are damaged, can you afford to compensate her?"

He Tingchuan was intent on killing, so naturally he wouldn't show any mercy.

If Yun Jin hadn't stopped her, she would already be a corpse.

The political commissar bluntly stated the punishment for He Tingchuan: "He Tingchuan, the higher-ups are disappointed in you because of this incident. Starting today, you will be confined for ten days, your previous mission reward will be cancelled, and you will not be eligible for promotion for one year."

He Tingchuan wasn't surprised: "Accept the punishment from your superiors. If there's a next time..."

Before he could finish speaking, the political commissar threw an enamel cup lid at him. He didn't want to hear about the tubes being inserted into his lungs. He originally had a chance to be promoted this year, but now, he's ruined a great opportunity.
