Chapter 268 Surgery Successful

Yun Jin prayed silently.

The operating room lights went out seven minutes after the timeout period ended.

The tightly closed operating room door opened, and the surgeon, dressed in a white coat, walked out. He took off his mask, met Yun Jin's anxious and expectant eyes, and smiled: "The surgery was a success. You'll need to be observed for the next two days. If there are no major problems, you can start using the medication."

"Thank you, doctor!" Yun Jin was overjoyed. "Where's my husband?"

The doctor smiled and stepped aside, and the nurse wheeled He Tingchuan out after the successful surgery. Yun Jin immediately rushed over and grabbed his hand, and He Tingchuan held on tightly, saying, "Wife, you really brought me good luck!"

"The surgery was a success, and you'll be able to see it soon!" Yun Jin exclaimed excitedly.

He Tingchuan's lips curled up: "Thanks to you!"

"That's right, I'm your lucky star!" Yun Jin said proudly.

He Ziqian felt a bit embarrassed. These two should have some shame. The doctor is still here!

The doctor smiled, inquired about He Tingchuan's condition, confirmed that there was nothing wrong with his health, and told him to rest well and to call him if he needed anything.

He Tingchuan had only been in the ward for a short time when Zhang Juan came to visit him with a bouquet of flowers: "It looks like the surgery was a success, congratulations!"

"Thanks!" Yun Jin smiled as she accepted the flowers and placed them aside.

He Ziqian asked in surprise, "Why are you here?"

“Your uncle is having surgery, how could I not come and see him? We’ve been to the movies and had coffee together before. I don’t mean anything by it, I just thought that since we know each other, it wouldn’t hurt to come and see him.”

"Thanks!" He Ziqian knew that this woman had ulterior motives and thought that she would give up if he didn't take the bait.

Who knew they'd be sneaking in to make their presence felt?

He didn't mention having surgery today, nor did he mention this hospital, yet she found him precisely. As a spy, she's truly a failure.

Yun Jin didn't want to disturb He Tingchuan's rest, so she exchanged a few pleasantries with Zhang Juan and said she would treat her to a meal after he was discharged from the hospital, and asked He Ziqian to help see him off.

Zhang Juan exchanged a few polite words. In the end, she hadn't come for them, and with He Ziqian there, she wouldn't stay long.

The two went downstairs one after the other, their relationship neither too close nor too distant, appearing somewhat awkward yet somewhat ambiguous.

After Yun Jin and the others left, she carefully examined the bouquet of flowers that Zhang Juan had brought. It wasn't that she was being overly sensitive; it was just that she had watched too many movies, especially Hong Kong films, which were full of recordings and such.

She can't be careless.

She thought she was overthinking it, but when she saw the small recording pen hidden behind the wrapping paper, Yun Jin realized that the old saying was true.

One should not have the intention to harm others, but one must be wary of others.

They even sent the recorder in the bouquet, so it couldn't have been an accidental smuggling of something, right?

Even a child wouldn't believe that.
