Knowing that Yun Jin and the others were coming, Sister Gao prepared a lot of delicious food, all of which were Yun Jin and the others' favorites. She didn't sell them; she only prepared food for Yun Jin and the others.
Yun Jin greeted Sister-in-law Gao and the others with a smile.
Sister-in-law Gao greeted them with a smile, "Please sit down. We've arranged seats for you. Choose your own food, and we'll grill it and bring it over for you in a bit."
Yun Jin chose what she liked to eat, and also let He Zizhen and Commander Li's two granddaughters choose what they liked to eat. She then chose mala tang (spicy hot pot), and Brother Gao was now in charge of the mala tang.
Gao Min and the others were all helping out; the whole family was busy.
When they met acquaintances, they chatted enthusiastically with each other.
Yun Jin gave the gifts she brought from the capital to Sister-in-law Gao, who accepted them with a smile: "Thank you for your expense, eat whatever you like tonight."
Yun Jin didn't stand on ceremony and prepared a bowl of crayfish to whet her appetite. Now, Sister-in-law Gao's crayfish dishes are getting better and better.
Yun Jin raised an eyebrow at the tiled house in front of her: "Did you build this?"
Sister-in-law Gao nodded: "Thatched houses aren't durable. Anyway, we'll be doing business here for the next few years, so we bought the land behind and built this little house. We can stay here when we're tired."
"Not bad, not bad. When the lease expires, we can take it back. It's our own land, so we won't lose out." Yun Jin knew that Sister-in-law Gao had made money, and this small house wouldn't cost much.
After Sister-in-law Gao explained the reason, Yun Jin understood: "That's how they are, they can't stand to see you doing well."
Sister-in-law Gao nodded, then, as if remembering something, said, "Before you came, Li Aiguo's mother passed by. I think she went to Beijing and didn't cause you any trouble, right?"
Speaking of Li's mother, Yun Jin immediately complained to Sister-in-law Gao about how Li's mother threatened suicide and tried to extort 10,000 yuan from her. Sister-in-law Gao was so angry that she cursed, "You gave it to her?"
“No, she was dreaming.” Yun Jin then recounted the story of Li’s mother being robbed.
Sister-in-law Gao clapped her hands: "That's great, it's just a pity about 1,500. Li Aimei is unlucky to have a mother like that."
Yun Jin agreed: "Who says otherwise!"
