"Isn't your money my sister-in-law's? She promised to buy it for me." Chen Mo said smugly. Of course, she wouldn't let Liang Zhirou pay for it; it was all a trap set up to trick her older brother.
Seeing that Chen Lu ignored her, she continued, "You wouldn't want my sister-in-law and me to be detained in the shop because we don't have money, would you?"
“I have money…” Liang Zhirou said softly.
"You two go ahead, I have some things to take care of at my company," Chen Lu said suddenly while looking at his phone. The pressure of operating two projects simultaneously was probably too much for their company, given the numerous bugs in the new game.
A hint of melancholy flashed in Liang Zhirou's eyes, but it disappeared in the blink of an eye.
Not long after Chen Mo and Liang Zhirou left, Chen Lu got up to leave.
"I'll come back for lunch."
He was just about to leave when Wang Xiaoxia called him back.
"Wait a moment."
Hearing this, he turned around and looked at his mother with some curiosity. Wang Xiaoxia cleared her throat and said, "Come here."
