"Brother, there's nothing strange here. Are you scared?" The child blinked his beautiful eyes and looked at Blore with pure eyes, but his attitude was a little strange. He seemed a little nervous, but also didn't seem to care about anything.
"My name is Ri Huaian, what about you?" Before Blore could answer, Ri Huaian couldn't wait to add, as if he wanted to skip the previous question.
"Uh... I'm not scared, but can I ask what happened in this place before? I think... well, it's a little strange." Blore organized his words. He had already followed the child's wishes, so the child should be able to speak, right?
But the fact proved that he was really not suitable for understanding children. After Blore asked the question, Ri Huaian's eager eyes looked at him and immediately changed. He immediately lowered his head and muttered something in a low voice. For some reason, Blore didn't understand a word he said.
Seeing that Ri Huaian didn't answer, Blore didn't know what to do for a moment. After his brain went offline for a few seconds, he began to think about what he should say to ease the atmosphere.
Blore and Rihuaian sat on a high platform, basking in the sunshine. The sun poured down generously, enveloping them in warmth. The surrounding trees were lush and tall, like a natural green castle. The blooming mist cypress flowers resembled a flock of ethereal fairies, dancing gracefully in the breeze. Their petals fluttered like snowflakes, gently landing on the platform and on them.
Perhaps the two people involved didn't notice these subtle changes, but at this moment, the forest seemed so peaceful and gentle. There was no noise at all, only the rustling of leaves in the breeze and the cheerful song of birds in the distance. The air was filled with a refreshing scent, which made people feel relaxed and happy. Everything here was so clean and beautiful, like a colorful painting.
"Brother, there's actually nothing you can't say. I just..." Ri Huaian suddenly spoke, carefully glanced at Blore, and then lowered his head, as if he had been bullied but dared not say a word.
Blore's thoughts were immediately interrupted. Actually, it was not appropriate to say this. He just told himself to think of something to ease the situation, but he was inexplicably distracted after thinking for a few words. He didn't know where his mind went when he was distracted.
When Huaian spoke suddenly that day, Blore felt that it had finally pulled his thoughts back from some unknown corner.
"It's okay, it's okay!" Blore came back to his senses and quickly tried to find something to say. "If you don't know, forget it. You're so young, how could you possibly know all these weird questions I have? I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"
"No, brother... You also appeared here suddenly, and those people seemed to appear suddenly every time, do some very strange things and then disappear from the world, you know? They set thirty-one fires, burned the forest three hundred times, killed my father two hundred and forty-seven times, and killed my mother one hundred and twenty-three times..." The voice became lower and lower, and the tone became slower and slower, revealing an inexplicable weirdness and coldness for no reason.
But Blore felt something strange.
"What nonsense are you talking about? Fever?" Blore said, lowering his head and placing his hand on Rihuaian's forehead, with a look of unfaithful worry in his eyes.
Ri Huaian was stunned for a moment, and his beautiful eyes stared at Blore blankly, with tears in them instantly, which immediately reminded Blore of the stray gray Luocha dog in the base. When Blore fed it for the first time, the puppy also stared at him blankly, and then mist appeared in its eyes at some point.
"Brother, I'm fine... I'm actually a little scared here at night. Let's go to my house together and have something delicious!" Ri Huaian held Blore's hands on his head with both hands. He seemed to have recovered. The moisture flashed away, and the childish innocence and a strange emotion returned to his eyes.
Blore looked at Rihuaian in front of him, and couldn't help but feel an inexplicable pang of heartache and a desire to protect him. As if possessed by some mysterious force, his free hand gently touched Rihuaian's head and said soothingly, "Okay, let's go then."
Rihuaian held Blore's hand tightly with both hands, a very shy smile on his face, then jumped up and landed steadily on the ground.
After landing, Rihuaian once again cast his gaze towards Blore, who was sitting on the stage, his eyes full of expectation and desire. However, he did not speak, but just stared at Blore silently.
A strange feeling suddenly surged deep inside Blore, as if something had touched him gently. He smiled at Rihuaian, but Rihuaian seemed a little shy and turned his head away quickly, no longer looking at him directly.
"This little guy!" Blore felt secretly amused in his heart. When he was about to jump off the stage, he suddenly noticed that there seemed to be a slight bulge where Ri Huaian had just sat.
The bump was very small, like a small flat slope, no larger than the palm of your hand. The sun was still warm and pleasant, but Blore couldn't help but feel a chill in his heart as he looked at the bump.
"Brother! What are you looking at? Come down quickly!" Ri Huaian turned around at some point, but found that Blore was still standing on the stage. He couldn't help feeling very confused and couldn't help asking.
"Ah? It's okay, I'll be right there." Blore came to his senses and jumped down. The mist flower shook slightly a few times and then calmed down again.
Blore had always considered himself a man of great courage, but for some reason he kept thinking of that little bump as he walked along the forest path, and it made him uneasy.
Ri Huaian noticed it, and after interrupting him several times and seeing that he couldn't get an answer, he simply started to cheat and pulled Blore. Blore had no choice but to carry Ri Huaian on his back.
